We stayed at the Romantic Waterfall Cabin for our minimoon after our wedding last Saturday, and it was absolutely perfect. The cabin had everything we needed and it was the ideal peaceful escape for us both for our wedding bubble. We left feeling relaxed and refreshed 😊. Jaqueline was a fantastic host and even got me vase for my bouquet. We’d definitely recommend this magical spot to anyone looking for a cozy, romantic getaway! Thank you so much!

The place where you live out your dreams!!! Sitting watching the stars glisten from the hot tub listening to the night sounds. Watching the sun set with a roaring fire and waking up to most amazing views and spending time with the cutest animals! Honestly can’t fault it/ slept like a log on both nights and really didn’t want to leave. The personal touches were absolutely amazing too with the little treats really appreciated xxx

As soon as we arrived at the skyloft, we were amazed at how beautiful, cozy and clean the private space was. The local area called the Bog, could be seen from the Skyloft windows and provided such amazing views. These were perfect to watch the sun rise and sun set across the distant Shropshire hills. To be able to relax in the hot tub in the evenings was the perfect way to end each day after a busy time exploring the Bog/ the Stiperstones. Our host was extremely helpful and friendly, and responded within minutes each time we had a query, and was also proactive in providing all necessary instructions to locate and gain access to Skyloft, as well as providing helpful recommendations of local pubs and places to eat. She had also very kindly left a welcome hamper upon arrival. Overall we loved our stay and would definitely consider returning in the near future.

Absolutely lovely cottage in a lovely location! It was exceptionally clean when we arrived. Kim gave us very clear instructions on how to find the cottage, along with lots of recommendations of things to do! The bed was very comfortable. The kitchen was very well equipped with everything you might need for cooking, the only thing we would change would be having salt and pepper shakers rather than sachets. We really enjoyed the different flavoured coffees! We really enjoyed the local area- the local pub is a 3 minute walk away, and we also visited the local shop. We walked along the canal from the village to Crickhowell, which was a very easy and beautiful route! If we had stayed longer we would have made use of the bike hire in the village. The only thing we would have added would have been some board games/card games for when the weather isn’t on side! We had a very comfortable stay and would definitely come again. Thank you, Kim.

Cosy Retreat is the perfect base for exploring everything Hay-on-Wye has to offer. The apartment is beautifully designed, with everything you could possibly need for your stay. The communication from Emma & Dan ahead of my stay was incredibly helpful. The central location is wonderful and I can highly recommend the Cosy Cafe also. The staff were so friendly & welcoming and the food & drink was delicious. I hope to be back for a future stay.

My husband and I had a fantastic stay at Mary's place! The cottage is just as described and in a beautiful and peaceful location. All of the instructions Mary provided were easy to follow, and while we didn't meet in person, Mary was communicative and available if needs be. We hope to return again soon!

We had a wonderful stay, good facilities, wonderful welcome basket and stunning barn with gorgeous grounds. Katherine was a great host with great communication and recommendations for the area. Rhayader was a lovely nearby town with nice pubs and cafes.

Just home from a lovely couple of nights away- 2 families, four children ranging from 4-14 and one dog. The house was immaculate, really well equipped and beautiful. The space worked well for two families and different aged children. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen space/ dining was fabulous and social. Very grateful for the milk and cake on arrival, useful items such as dishwasher tablets etc and the dog was delighted with her doggy chocolate bar! Great location- minutes from Hay. Came to visit some family who live locally and will most likely be back. Thank you. 🙏

We only spent around 8 hours at the apartment due to being there for just one night for a wedding. We didn’t explore the local area or make the most of the apartment but for what we needed and used it for, it worked really well. Much better than staying in a cramped hotel room!

What an absolute gem!! The location of the lodge is fantastic, beautifully peaceful countryside with only the birds and local farm animals in sight and earshot. The photos really do not do it justice, the feel inside is super cosy and well equipped. Outside is on another level - the views over the fields, private hot tub and sauna as well as various different seating areas make it stand out. We had planned to walk to the local pub but we were having such a relaxing time we decided not to leave at all! We had asked for the hot tub to be warmed for when we got there, the only thing I will say is bring your fire making abilities with you as you'll need them! Michelle was a great host, she was very responsive both prior to the stay and during, and met us there to let us in, nothing was too much trouble. The return trip is already in discussions!

Me my partner and two sons stayed here for Easter weekend. We absolutely loved are stay… the site the lodge is situated in was lovely with great facilities for my 4 year old son. He loved the swimming pool and park. Me and my partner also got a lovely massage! The lodge was very clean and had everything we needed. (Full equipped kitchen, towels and robes, tea and coffee) The jacuzzi was the highlight of the weekend! We enjoyed it so much we have booked to return for my son’s birthday weekend :)

Silvie's Cottage is a true delight! Welcoming, extremely well equipped, spotlessly clean and feels like a home from home with lots of extra touches. Off road parking in a lovely residential street which is only a short stroll into Church Stretton and a choice of walks straight from the door with no need to use a car. The garden is lovely and adds to the overall atmosphere of a warm welcoming cottage. We loved our few days stay, would highly recommend and plan to return again....hopefully soon! Sharon’s cabin was absolutely beautiful, real luxury surrounded by natural beauty. Warm and cosy with lovely finishes such as a modern kitchen, lovely clean bedding and furniture and a beautiful clean bathroom. The cabin was just spotlessly clean. We even had bath robes to wear which were a lovely touch and almost made us feel like we were at a spa. We arrived in the dark and were stunned by gorgeous views from every window when we woke up in the morning. Even the woodwork, decking out front and bathtub felt high end and well thought out. We stayed for our friends birthday and Sharon kindly left a cake for us on our arrival which was much appreciated Thankyou! 5* host who gave us our privacy but also made us feel very welcome and came to say hello. I must mention the star gazing here too, we sat on the decking till late at night enjoying a sky full of stars! Not something we get in london! I will be recommending Sharon’s cabins to all my friends and family. Thankyou for having us x

We had a blissfully idillic stay at Kesri’s. The safari lodges are really well appointed and private. The private bathrooms were clean and luxurious. We had a fabulous meal on the dirty burger night, really relaxed ambiance and lovely to meet the owners and hear the story of the business. Really accessible to Hay on Wye with lots to do. We had a great stay, we will be back!

What a beautiful place to be . My family & I just loved it . We were so pleased to meet Jackie she is a fab hostess such a lovely friendly super helpful lady she definitely goes the extra mile , everything was very clean & tidy & organised in very peaceful surroundings. The log burner was fab all the logs were right there for us , we arrived with a yummy homemade coffee cake just waiting for us . What a lovely touch . We even had a dozen fresh eggs to go home with . Delicious . I would recommend Jackie’s place a visit it’s a cracking spot .

I booked this as a surprise getaway for my partners birthday and what can I say but WOW! From the moment we arrived we were amazed by the beautiful surroundings and quality of the accommodation. We were then welcomed with a beaming smile from Suzi who took her time to get to know us and show us all the amenities. A couple of the nights we lost track of time just star gazing and we seen a few shooting starts too! If you’re looking for accommodation in this area I really cannot recommend this place enough! You NEED to visit. We will certainly be coming back!

Could not recommend this place enough. Loved the views of the mountains. We all loved the outside bath. Cabin immaculately clean and tidy. No WiFi, just brilliant! Wanted to get away from it all. Local pubs and walks fantastic. Was looking at local Ley lines in the area. Twin valley ley lines and pilgrimage. Local medieval churches stunning. Laura an excellent host. Cider and Apple juice on site with shop. Lovely to to have a welcome note for kids and me. Kids loved the outside bath and also the bunk bed. And very accommodating with same day/late booking. Thanks again.

My second visit here, I love how peaceful the garden is and the views across to the surrounding hills. The armchair in the garden under the cover of a canopy is wonderful, allowing me to sit and read all day undisturbed! The hot tub is a huge bonus and this really is a glamping experience. The bed is comfy, the kitchen is well equipped, the outdoor shower is lovely too. Thanks so much for a great stay! I will definitely be visiting again :)

We had an amazing stay! Frances was super helpful and responsive with our queries. Unfortunately we were unable to use the hot tub due to unexpected weather and the well dried up, however Frances gave a generous refund for this even though it couldn’t be helped and wasn’t their fault. We would absolutely stay again, in fact we are thinking to book again next year. Everything was amazing and very well thought out! Frances even supplied a high chair on request.
