We really enjoyed our stay. The view is beautiful. The area is quaint, quiet and relaxing. The house was beautiful and roomy, beds were comfortable. We enjoyed playing the video game and spent the evenings around the fire pit. Host was helpful and responsive to all questions. Would book again.

Our stay at Haylie and Chris’s place was absolutely amazing! The location right on the river was breathtaking—we loved waking up to the serene views and enjoying the peaceful sounds of the water. The home was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Haylie and Chris were outstanding hosts, so welcoming and attentive, making sure every detail of our visit was perfect. This was truly a getaway to remember, and we can’t wait to come back again. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing and unforgettable stay!

My wife and I loved the place. The wooded surroundings in the backyard with the stream running through or breathtaking. We would see on average anywhere from 15 to 20 deer every day. The house was even better than what the picture show. I never had to worry about being able to reach the owner. She was always accommodating and even offered us the opportunity to stay longer knowing that we were doing a longer-term, but we had already made arrangements to go somewhere else and couldn’t get out of it or we would’ve taken it.

Steve was always making sure we had everything we needed. He got us a baby gate as a special request, quickly and it helped us so much with our little one. Water was replenished and gave great local recommendations for food. Amazing!

The River House is a real treat. We loved our stay there and Rhiannon was a very responsive and friendly host. We had everything we needed and being right on the Kankakee River was a bonus. The decor in the house is really cute and stylish. The beds were comfy and the shower was nice and hot with great water pressure. We felt right at home.

This small quaint home packs a HUGE punch when it comes to amenities and that home away from home feel. We couldn't have asked for more in an airbnb during our stay in the Chicago area. From the kuerig, to the decor, to the hot tub to the amazing bathroom and shower, this Airbnb had everything we needed and everything we didn't even know we wanted. I would HIGHLY recommend this airbnb along with the amazing and attentive hosts to anyone traveling through the area.

Ami’s place in Manteno is like having your own little one story duplex to call home for however long you’re in need of a comfy comfy place to stay. I immediately felt at home, not only in her home but in all of my communications with both Ami and Steve. It’s apparent how important the comfort, cleanliness, and safety of their guests accommodations are. They were super helpful with local recommendations on more than one occasion. Very responsive and very friendly. Their little one story end unit on a small a cul-de-sac had every creature comfort and then some. And it’s within walking distance to downtown Manteno which is friendly and charming as well. Highly recommended!

Very comfortable place. Warm and cosy in some really cold weather. Super easy getting in and dealing with the owner. We also all loved Manteno. Its a great place full of lovely people. Couldn't recommend Manteno and this house more.

For our trip this home was perfect. It was near the friends we were visiting, short drive to Lake Michigan, great restaurants in the area, and we loved having a kitchen so we could grab some groceries and save some money on meals. The home is older but so is ours so we felt right at home. Everything was clean as well. We hope to stay here again.
