Chandlers Rest is a true gem if you want to relax in peace and comfort. The house is built by hand with immaculate craftsmanship and attention to detail. Everything is simply top notch, a truly beautiful, quiet getaway.

A very comfortable stay in a beautiful location. The stay has a peaceful and idyllic surroundings, and the yard was absolutely perfect for my dogs to have a run in after a long travel day. The hosts were very friendly and had set up the space to feel homey. Although it’s a small space, it’s well thought out, would stay again.

Amanda's place was perfect for our needs. It was warm and comfortable, very clean and tidy, and we really appreciated the thoughtful touches such as toys and books for the children and breakfast supplies. Thanks Amanda!

The place visually was warm and inviting though certainly surprised as you progress through the house kitchen was a great comfort close to home feel with contents also but the topper was the veranda/ deck area and the connected flow around the house

We absolutely loved our stay. The cottage is gorgeous and has everything that one needs for a comfortable stay. Being located on a working farm, we were surrounded by animals and nature. We loved the Alpacas and the beautiful bird life! And our fur baby loved her walks through the farm and down country lanes. I highly recommend this cottage!

If you enjoy a rural environment amongst eucalypts in a convenient location provided by hospitable hosts plus the opportunity to collect fresh eggs and feed the alpacas, sheep and pigs everyday and to sit on the veranda watching the abundant wild bird-life while the peacocks strut past, then you will be highly rewarded with your stay at Apple Tree Cottage, Ophir. The house is most comfortable with all needed amenities topped off with a log fire that warms the house and the heart! A pleasant 15 minute drive to Orange - which has all services and a delightful choice of cafes, pubs and restaurants - and then it's on to all the delights of the Central West. Additionally, there are nearby walks and sites to explore. And when you return to the house, Addie or Peter will give you a friendly wave and a suggestion of what else you night want to visit. The very best feature? The opportunity to sit in comfort while you enjoy the peace, tranquillity and beauty of the wonderful Australian "bush".
