The stay was fantastic. The atmosphere was unparalled. Kitchen had everything you could ever need. Surroundings were beautiful. Host was responsive and kind. 100% will return.

Beautiful place no complaints

We absolutely loved the house! It looked exactly like the pictures—new, clean, and beautifully decorated for Christmas and New Year, which made our stay feel extra special. The thoughtful decor really added to the holiday spirit. The only minor suggestion we have is that it would be great to have a big dining table in the main house, but honestly, it wasn’t a big deal at all. Everything else was perfect, and we had a wonderful stay. Highly recommend this place!

Our stay at Grants Island was just what we needed for a little family getaway! The weather complied, the lake and views from the dock were amazing. The use of the pontoon made for good fishing but even better fishing right off the dock! John was more than accommodating with our needs and communication was easy. The cabin fit 5 of us just fine and everyone enjoyed themselves. The local restaurant had great food and drinks!

This is our second year visiting Independence Lodge, we love it here so much! We have a large family, everyone has space and is comfortable. This is a fantastic spot and we highly recommend it!

We lived Maureen’s Lodge. Clean, comfortable and had everything we wanted and needed. Highly recommended Maureen’s place!

Ashley was a wonderful host and extremely communicative. The home was exactly as pictured, she gave clear instructions for entering, and everything was as described. We traveled with our two pups which were welcomed and she even put out bowls for them! Bed was comfortable (we only stayed in the master), AC worked beautifully as it was quite hot the weekend we stayed, and the backyard is a gem, big and open for our pups to enjoy. This home is close to Fort Drum and Watertown, so easy to get everywhere you need to go, and there's an ice cream place right at the end of the road which was delicious! Will stay here again or anywhere this host has a home! Loved the home and loved Ashley.

We had a wonderful and relaxing weekend. Great hiking area, hot tub was a bonus after a day of hiking. Then relaxing around the fire. Would recommend this place and we will be back

It was super nice just what I was looking for she responded super quickly to me and definitely accommodated for whatever I needed very helpful and super resourceful. Left me a bunch of things I could do in the area and even a nice generous playlist I would definitely recommend staying with her.

The cabin was perfect. Well maintained and great location. Access was easy and has everything we needed. Loved sitting by the firepit and in the jacuzzi. Access down to the river was great and the landscape beautiful. Close to Old Forge and many hiking trails. Pictures don't do it justice.

Beautiful location - felt remote, quiet and surrounded by nature. House was cozy. Driveway was easy to drive despite the snow. Hot tub was divine. Hosts were responsive with any minor problems. Hope to go back and see it in the summer. Exceeded our expectations for a winter wonderland with plenty of snow for skiing and snowshoeing!
