It was a good experience and a comfortable place to spend the weekend and very friendly Alfonso at all times.

Alberto's place was lovely. We hiked up from Ruta del Cares and stayed for two nights. We enjoyed a long hike through the Picos de Europa on our full day and came back to a lovely meal in the restaurant in the evening. The location is ideal for accessing the mountains however the paths are very rough to the east side of the village up to Urriellu. The staff were lovely and made us feel very welcome. Would stay here again :)

Alfonso's rooms are very comfortable and practical. The other guests were very respectful and there is a quiet atmosphere.

Alfonso was really kind and always available. Great hostel, among the best and cheapest I've stayed in Spain, with everything you need, comfortable beds and spacious bathrooms. Highly recommended if you visit Leon!

Alfonso hostel has been perfect for our family, we slept all 5 (2 adults and 3 children aged 2, 5 and 8) in a single bedroom with 6 beds, the bathroom is shared but is in the same door of the bedroom. Keep in mind that there are no sheets or towels included, but that is not an issue as they can be rented in the same place. It's about a 15-minute walk from downtown and there's always a place to park next to the hostel. Alfonso was very kind, attentive and respectful. I would definitely recommend it.
