I stayed at Stephanie’s place primarily as a place to take some space out and to work as I work online. The cottage is ideal for this. Good WiFi, warm and homely and easy to heat in the winter. I enjoyed my time so much that I will be returning early next year for another stint of work and retreat. The house is not only beautiful but Stephanie is also an extremely kind and caring host. Highly recommend for a short break and also longer term stay.

We had a wonderful stay in the treehouse quirky and very different with excellent views great location for Carlingford and two minutes walk from a friendly local bar extremely dog friendly Padraig went out of his way to meet us and was very responsive and helpful thanks so much Karen Stephen and Jessie 🐶

It is a beautiful location. House is cosy and comfy. Good location to recharge your batteries and enjoy quality time.

Cosy and quiet. Very private and walking distance into town. ideal spot to explore the Mourne mountains and Tullymore park.

100% recommendable. The house is perfect and with a very nice history. The host is really good. We would love to come back to this wonderful place

We arrived in the evening and only stayed for one night, so didn’t have much time to enjoy the facilities, but we still had a nice stay. The heater takes a bit of time to warm up the room, but we were otherwise cosy at night. The location was perfect for our visit to Newgrange.

My partner and I had an amazing getaway to Caitríona’s cottage. The beautiful surroundings, cozy cottage and the dogs Jim, George and Titch made for a really relaxing trip. Caitríona is super friendly and helpful. I highly recommend visiting!

Had an amazing stay at the cabin. Location was extremely peaceful and private. Imelda had the place equipped with everything you could need for a comfortable stay including eggs, bread, milk, oranges etc. for breakfast and even marshmallows to toast on the fire. The bed was extremely comfortable, looking out over the countryside. The cabin as a whole was spotlessly clean and cosy. Loved our stay here and can’t wait to return. 10/10

We had a great stay here. It was so relaxing and in a beautiful location. Jason allowed us to reschedule twice due to illness with no problem! The hot tub was great and so warm and the hut was much bigger than expected.

Lovely warm and clean accommodation. Advertised correctly. The heat was on when we arrived. It is a lovely and peaceful place and even though host's home is close by, it felt very separate and private. Got the local restaurant food delivered -Inside Out and it was lovely food. Plenty hot water and shower very good too. Tea, coffee, sugar, salt , pepper and cleaning products there too to use. Suzanne was excellent at communicating and very friendly. Was there if needed but gave space. Would recommend and would stay again. Thanks Suzanne

Had a fab stay at Colin’s place this weekend, the hot tub and pizza oven were definitely our highlights!

We stayed at Emma’s place for a night away for valentines and were so pleased with our experience. Emma left us a few treats which were perfect for watching a movie at night. Highly recommend

We’ve just checked out after a wonderful 2 nights stay at Willow lodge, Deborah & Kevin are such lovely people, nothing was too much trouble, lodge was heated on arrival and Kevin came to explain how everything works. Deborah was great at responding fast with any questions we had and recommended some lovely places to eat, shop and have a walk round. Lodge was spotless and so cosy & comfortable. Everything we wanted to get away for a few days. Will definitely be going back again. Thank you both for an amazing stay x

Such a lovely host. Ted was so accommodating to our late arrival and has the stove going for us! He even offered a bottle of wine to us as it was Valentine’s. Ted is such a kind man with great conversation and An Sibín is such a lovely cottage. The daybed was comfortable and didn’t take up too much space! The kitchen appliances were lovely to have and everything that you need, it was great the there was a bit of a pantry too. Shower and bathroom were perfect too! The overall area was lovely and if it wasn’t as cold as it was we would’ve went for more walks around! It was so handy to have Kilkenny only 25 minutes away, really great location! Lovely spot and everything you need is included for a night away. Was pleasantly surprised with how warm the cabin was along with the shower water too. Hot tub is perfect for two people and doesn’t take long to heat up either. Location is very remote but a 15 min spin into portumna isn’t bad at all. Would definitely recommend a stay here.

A beautiful location with great views, off the beaten track near Hollywood. Plenty of hiking options that are minutes away by car. A very cosy place to stay with the added bonus of having a sauna and an outdoor fire stove. The place is very well kept and has all the essentials.

We (family of four) stayed in Ashleigh and Micks lovely cottage for a week. The cottage is very private with beautiful countryside views. It is really nicely decorated, and comfortable with a beautiful kitchen which was very well equipped, with all utensils, an oven, hob, microwave and Nespresso coffee machine. Communication in advance of visiting was very clear and we easily found the cottage. We really enjoyed our stay and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it - thanks very much Ashleigh and Mick!

Absolutely stunning stay, the retreats facilities are incredible. The plunge pool, Sauna and Hot Tub are an absolute must for anyone, in addition to the lovely wood fire and pizza oven. The beautiful scenery and the calming sound of the river throughout the day. Eddie was incredible helpful and polite on arrival, welcoming us to the retreat, he explained everything. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to detach themselves from normal life for a night or two, we will definitely be back.

The cutest home away from home. It was such a lovely stay. Perfect place for two. All the amenities that you could need for a weekend getaway. Very cozy, and warm! We absolutely loved that it was such a unique experience staying in a container. It is in a very good location for east Cork. If/when we ever make it down to Cork again, we absolutely would want to stay here again! Thanks again Nollaig for being such a gracious, knowledgeable and kind host!!

Very nice and homely living area. Made feel right at home from the moment we arrived on the property. Genuine conversation had with Michael who was most helpful, giving advice about the locality and other recommendations. Would highly recommend a weekend stay in the Shepherds Hut. Games provided in the Hut were greatly appreciated.

Stayed here for my wife's birthday weekend with friends. The 4 of us were very comfortable. Everything was as expected or better. A great use of space made a relatively small building seem much bigger. Waking up and seeing Alpacas at the other side of the door was a great experience. Pub and restaurant within 10 minutes walking distance and several towns nearby for anything else you need. Fantastic spot to relax and watch the clouds go by or to use as a base for exploring. Ciara was very helpful from start to finish and hosted a very memorable weekend. We would definitely recommend Ivy Lane to anyone wanting to escape the hustle for a few days but still have options close by.
