Amazing place!! Immediately felt right at home. The description matched the home perfectly. The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful. Gin had a welcome sign and a card and even baked cookies for us. Not to mention she had snacks for us as well. She checked up on us to make sure we were being accommodated. The home was beautiful. I would definitely stay here again when I come back. It was a great stay.

This is the third year in a row we've stayed at the Eagles Nest. Cozy and comfortable, it's a great spot when visiting Toledo Bend!

We loved our time at this cabin. The location is beautiful with views of the lake and fantastic outdoor area. The house is very spacious with plenty of room for everyone. Kitchen was well stocked. Beautiful bathrooms! Loved it so much we booked it again.

This is a great home for families and groups! The home was spotless when we arrived with extras in the kitchen and pantry. The hosts were very responsive, and we definitely will be back to stay, five stars all the way!!

We had a great stay at the Creekside Treehouse. We enjoyed the kayaks, fishing, animals and atmosphere of the property. The only issue that we encountered was the temperature inside the treehouse. It got extremely cold, even with multiple heaters running. The hosts were accommodating and provided an extra heater, which was really nice. Overall, I would rate our stay 5/5 and will return again.. maybe next time during the summer! :)

We loved everything about this stay! The home is perfect for a small group and is equipped with plenty of items that most hosts wouldn’t provide. The accommodations for pets and babies were so nice. Our only complaint was that the living area felt dark and could use brighter lighting for playing games and hanging out. Other than that, this would be our guaranteed stop anytime we’re in the area.

We had a wonderful stay at Darby's place. The house is nicely updated with so much room! We had three couples in the house plus other family members came to grill out with us. THE VIEW, oh my, right on the lake. The patio is a perfect place to hang out, grill and enjoy that view! The beds are very comfortable with nice linens. We had everything we needed. Darby was very responsive when we reached out. We will come back again! Thank you Darby for making our difficult situation easier to bear by providing exceptional accommodations!

Overall was a good experience! We stayed for 3 nights over NYE and enjoyed staying in a place that was dog friendly and had a hot tub. We wanted something that was a bit secluded and quiet and this fit those requirements. Just note that the nearest food options are 30+ min away in Jasper, TX. A few helpful tips for future guests - the kitchen is very tiny and not very conducive to cooking full meals. The list of what’s available (air fryer, hot plate, silverware, tongs, etc) was accurate. I would just be prepared to cook as many meals as you can on the Blackstone griddle or BBQ grill (both outside) to make life easier. Our only (minor) inconvenience was the amount of decor that created a bit of clutter and reduced the amount of usable storage and surfaces in an already small space. I would suggest that the hosts reduce the number of duplicate items in the kitchen and create some cabinet space. I would also free up some space on the desk, counter and table.

Bonnie's place is very peaceful — just the reset we needed from our hectic lives. The lodge is more gorgeous than the photos online. We celebrated our Christmas here and Bonnie had the place decorated perfectly for the holidays. We are huge cooks so naturally we enjoyed the industrial oven and gas stove. We also took the jon boat out on the reservoir. Again, very peaceful. Grab some tamales and boudin nearby at Uncle Wayne's — you won't be disappointed. We hope to be back soon!

Lovely stay! Our family of eight adults spent four days at this property during New Year's 2025. We always gather to wrap up the holidays and spend quality time together before kicking off a busy new year. This was our second stay with Mr. Chester. His property has met and exceeded our needs each time. And, he is hospitable and easy to work with as a host. This house is up-to-date and has all the amenities of home. This property provides use of televisions, wi-fi, a kitchen with dishwasher and cooking utensils, and outside cooking gear including a grill and fryer, as well as a washer and dryer. We really couldn't have asked for more. The location is perfect for our needs. It is a beautiful house on a quiet cul-de-sac with access to Toledo Bend right on the property. I couldn't imagine anything more appealing to an avid fisherperson. Great accommodations with a nice atmosphere!! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!
