Perfect Place to Explore the Irish Midlands!

DeborahRating, 5 stars19 months ago
We had a great 5 day stay at Caroline and Laura’s place. Very peaceful with a lovely view out the glass doors from the kitchen/lounge room area. There were some treats left for as well. Everything was as listed and we wanted for nothing. Caroline met us when we arrived to showed us around and popped down to see us the next evening to make sure we had everything. She also gave us some good ideas as to what to see and do. It was a great place to base ourselves to do some exploring.

Jack Wright's @ Hushabye Farm

AndreaRating, 5 stars1 day ago
The Alpaca farm is a magical place. The Jack Wrights cottage is a lovely accommodation, it has an independent entrance and all the services you need, great views of the mountains and friendly Alpacas and Sheep grazing right across from the house. There's a table outside which is an amazing place to have some drinks and dinner overlooking the fields. This was our second visit and we'll be back, Paul and family are so welcoming, you feel at home. You get to roam around the farm and engage with the animals. We were lucky to arrive 5 days after the birth of a little lamb which we got to bottle feed. An unforgettable experience for the kids!
A serene waterfall cascades over rocky outcrops, surrounded by lush greenery. The water flows gently into a calm pool below, reflecting the vibrant foliage and the surrounding trees, creating a peaceful natural setting.

Ballyhist Cottage, superb 2 bedroom Farm Cottage

CarrieRating, 5 stars20 months ago
I can only say great things about our stay. The cottage was beautiful, clean, comfy beds and right in the heart of the wonderful irish countryside. There were a couple of unforeseen issues that arose but linda was easily accessible, extremely understanding, and super quick at rectifying (even when requiring a plumber she got it sorted within hours). So we highly recommend staying in lindas cottage and we thank linda for making our stay so enjoyable

Potted plants are positioned on either side of the doorway, contributing to the inviting appearance.

Clonaghmore house

Brenda was a great host and quick to respond. The location is quiet and remote so need a car but very chilled and peaceful. It was easy to get to surrounding areas like Tullamore and a good place to use as a hub if exploring some of the lakes and nature trails.
A gently flowing stream is bordered by lush greenery and colorful flowers. The vibrant blooms in shades of pink and white contrast with the dark water, creating a serene natural setting. Trees provide dappled shade over the area, enhancing the peaceful atmosphere.

Dun Bride

Mary is the kind of host that goes above and beyond for her guests. My parents loved their stay at her home and we so impressed with the thoughtful details Mary undertook to help make their visit to Ireland memorable. Mary very kindly alerted our distant relatives at my inquiry about how to my parents might connect with them and this was an extraordinary level of thoughtfulness. Further, the place was great, everything was incredibly clean, and it was a perfect taste of Irish country living. Highly recommend!

Lovely cosy cottage in the heart of Kinnitty. Lisa and Fearghal were great hosts - Lisa met us at the property and gave us a tour of the cottage, and gave us loads of great local recommendations. I would definitely stay again!
