Felt at home from the moment we stepped into Debendra's place - all thanks to a friendly, helpful and attentive host and great staff. Amazing momos for dinner, great value room, and walkable to the centre of Kathmandu whilst feeling like a small and secluded slice of peace & quiet.

all the staff was unbelievably kind and outgoing. the location is great. quiet but in the middle of town. the bed was uncomfortable. some firm spots and some super soft spots. the wifi was good enough to video call but sometimes spotty. the water pressure was good. no water heater. this room is on the 3rd floor with no elevator. breakfast was included and good. its a budget room for sure. still worth the price. no balcony.

I stayed one month at the apartment. It is in a great location, remote from the main roads noise and dust. The room is very clean, it is exactly like in the pictures. The internet is fast, breakfast is great, it is a really nice place to stay if you visit Kathmandu, I would recommend it to anyone.

Absolutely loved this stay in the heart of Thamel - kathmandu's trendy district. The rooms were cosy and well equipped. There is a well decor'd rooftop space that it's super chill; we spent a lot of time there. Amit, the owner, was a fun conversationalist and we thank him for hanging with us. Thanks Amit for having us at our fun hotel!

This is my second stay at Cocina Mitho Chha and it remains my number one recommendation in Kathmandu. There seems to be so many returning customers from around the world, which is a greater recommendation than I could ever give. The venue is only a 15-20 straightforward walk to the main tourist area of Thamel, and the host, Debendra, is always available to help, advise, book activities and travel, arrange guides and drivers, and make you smile. He's everything you could hope for from a host. Do yourself a favour and book!

Tajaa Pha is an incredible place, I highly recommend it! I stayed for 3 months, it's well-suited to long-term stays and work-from-home. The amenities are incredible and the building is within 5 minutes walk to stores, restaurants, and major roads. Shailendra and his family are always so welcoming. I'd definitely stay again whenever I'm in KTM.

Super comfortable beds, spacious rooms and most importantly, excellent hospitality! I was very comfortable at Tajaa Pha and I really appreciated how helpful my hosts were. I recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a place to stay in Kathmandu that is surrounded by local life and is not very touristy. Thank you for a wonderful stay! :)

I wish we could rate this stay 1 million stars. The place itself is absolutely pristine, beautiful finishes to the room, a very welcomed heater for the cold nights. But the best part about a good stay is almost always the humans behind it. Sanu and Laxman were so absolutely wonderful. We felt so cared for, and it really was a joy to be around them. Breakfast in the morning made from scratch (yes, even the amazing bread) by Sanu, was thoughtfully served, and absolutely delicious. Bhaktapur is an amazing city. We stayed four nights, and could have stayed a month without seeing and learning everything there is to see and learn about. It's a city full of ceremony and tradition, and the ancient beautiful buildings lend an air of the mystic. When we come back, which I really hope we will soon, I would not hesitate to book here again. Just an all-around fantastic experience with such wonderful, caring hosts.

We had a fantastic stay at Timila. The host were wonderful, excellent communication ahead of time and great rooms. There is a lot of work in the area so the area is dusty, but the hotel is kept immaculately clean.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Soham's Temperate Ecotel in the heart of Thamel, Kathmandu, and it was truly an unforgettable experience! ✨ From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed with the warmest hospitality. The room was Sparkling clean, thoughtfully decorated, and offered a cozy, peaceful vibe amidst the buzz of Thamel. The bed was super comfortable, and the facilities were just perfect – especially the beautiful rooftop seating area! ☕️🌸 Location-wise, it couldn't be better: - Garden of Dreams– just a 5-minute walk! 🌺 - Durbar Square– a 15-minute walk through colorful streets and local markets! ⛩️ - Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple)– a short 10-minute taxi ride! 🐒 - Pashupatinath Temple– about 20 minutes by taxi! - Boudhanath Stupa – a scenic 25-minute drive! 🛕 - Tons of amazing cafes, restaurants, and shops Getting around was super easy – taxis and bike rentals are readily available. The staff at Soham’s place were always ready to help with anything.

Staying at the Bansbari Inn was paradise! The room was spacious, cozy and very clean. We woke up with the birds chirping and a fresh coffee delivered to our room. The food served by the very attentive staff is delicious. You can relax in the beautiful garden or play chess in the comfy sofa room. Even more outstanding is the hospitality of the host: Amrit. He fulfilled every wish that we had and made us feel at home.
