Cabin vacation rentals in Lake Mendocino

We had a great and relaxing stay. It was rainy most of our visit, but getting to spend time in this beautiful house made it worth it. The beds were very comfy and the house was clean. We loved the record player, wood stove, and giant window with a view. The hot tub was unfortunately out of service during our visit (the host refunded us a bit), but we nonetheless had a great time. There were cute and delicious restaurants nearby (tons of stuff between 5 and 20 minutes away), nice walks and hikes, and cute areas to explore. The guidebook Janelle and Aaron made was really helpful. We ended up going to a vineyard they suggested. Such a relaxing place. We’d recommend it! We hope to return again soon!

Brett was an extremely nice and responsive host. The place was In great shape and was the perfect get away for my family to enjoy a wonderful Christmas. I will definitely be back!

Daphne and Rich have an amazing place in Mendocino. It was perfect for getting away for the weekend for our anniversary. The place was very easy to heat with the wall heater, the hot tub was nice and hot and relaxing, and the scenery was gorgeous. It was just a short drive to Mendocino to check out restaurants and hiking there. Just a gorgeous property all around! Daphne and Chris also offered breakfast services during our stay, and I suggest you take them up on that, as it was amazingly tasty.

Really enjoyed our time together at this lovely home, warm clean hottub was great bonus along with the cozy fireplace. Thanks for having us!

A great getaway spot for a couple! Felt like a cabin in the woods with all the windows and beautiful views with trees including a wonderful bit of the ocean as well. We loved the walk-up feature: no car noises. Fantastic hiking in the woods, close to the beach bluffs trails and access to the recreation centers.

This place is perfect for dog parents!! There are locations that are pet friendly then there are places that are pet welcoming! This house has everything you’d want for a vacation away from home with your dogs! The hosts were amazing and communicative when we had a small hiccup. They had a property manager on site within minutes and were able to adequately address our concerns! 10/10 would return here!!

We had a great stay! The cabin was cozy and well stocked, bed was comfy, and the fireplace kept us quite warm. The redwoods were magical, especially early in the morning. Great location, tucked away but close to the coast.

wow, what a gem of an airbnb. this place reminded me of when airbnb first launched. the space feels lived in but clean, Peter (the host) provided extra touches out of pocket that were appreciated, and I would 100% return. if you’re looking for a quiet, regenerative space, book now. I’m grateful stays like this exist still amidst the mess of impersonal, minimalist money makers that plague this website.

Very charming cottage. Love the knotty pine walls and ceiling, a true vintage cabin, with everything you need including a washer and dryer. It’s nestled in the trees, surrounded by large moss covered rocks. The beds are very comfortable, I slept like a stone. A great place to catch up on your sleep, or just sit and drink coffee. There’s a nice desk and WiFi to do a bit of work.

What a thoughtful, peaceful, intentional, and cozy space! The Zendo had everything we needed including good lighting and a great sound system. Waking up in the trees was well worth the stay!

One of my favorite stays with Airbnb and really affordable for how fantastic the cabin is! Everything is set up so thoughtfully (like plenty of firewood and fire starters next to the wood burning stove) and is very user friendly for guests. Easy check in and out, and Paulette was responsive and friendly. It was so nice to have the large securely fenced in yard for the dogs, and humans and pups alike enjoyed having our own private beach. We felt right at home and would love to visit again for the perfect cozy get away!

Feels wonderfully isolated despite being close to town. I greatly enjoyed sitting in the back listening to the stream and the birds and watching the sun filter through the trees. Great places for a little creative getaway in the mountains.

We loved staying at Noah and Joe's place! The place was beautiful and surrounded by nature. The cabin was very clean and it included all the services listed in the description. It is pet friendly and we were able to bring our cats with us. They loved it as well, chasing birds and playing in the trees. The place also has public pools that are very clean with clear water. Joe was very friendly and always willing to help. I highly recommend this place if you want to spend some time relaxing and in contact with nature.

Thora's place was beautiful and exactly what we were looking for in a quick getaway with the kids. The access to the river is absolutely the best part of the stay since we didn't have to leave the property at all. The water's are calm and the fact that there are umbrellas on the beach, and even a kayak to use, was the icing on the cake. EV charging was key and it made the whole round trip from the city just that much more easy.

This is a very nice, and well organized house right on the lake with it's own private dock. Loved the carport and quiet setting. Easy access to town and the surrounding area. A perfect place for a country get-a-way.

Laurie’s cabin is absolutely amazing! We had a wonderful time there. The skylights, the fireplace, a great kitchen, wonderful living room area and cosy bedrooms - everything just right! Laurie was very welcoming, super responsive and made sure we had everything we needed. I’m looking forward to come here again and can only recommend this Airbnb!

A beautiful getaway - two beautifully designed tiny cottages that has all that you need. Friendly people and creatures on the property. Leah was very helpful and responsive. I enjoyed my stay very much.

Loved staying at this Air BNB. The house is quintessentially mid century modern with a bonus waterfall running beneath the home. Can’t wait to book again!

This cabin is a few miles from downtown, but easy to find and so peaceful. It’s an old schoolhouse built in the 1800’s, so definitely bring layers in winter. The space heaters are super helpful, but winter weather is what it is! The place is clean, super comfortable, and well appointed. Brendan is friendly and very responsive if you need anything at all. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. Such a gem.

Probably the most well stocked kitchen I have ever experienced at an Airbnb. This place truly has everything you need to be a home away from home and more. My kids loved the sea ranch kids park near shell beach. The hosts we're extremely kind and responsive, even on Christmas day for our arrival. We would definitely stay here again.

Our stay at Andiron was unbelievably magical! My only wish is that we had discovered this gem sooner. Madeline was such a warm and welcoming host, and the place was not only impeccably maintained but also absolutely adorable. We’ll definitely be back. Thank you, Madeline!
