The Cabin was beautiful and wonderful place for a group of doctors to gather for an annual meeting. Alberto was really wonderful about accommodating our group when our previous reservations fell through at the last minute. I would highly recommend staying here. Hard to find a more beautiful location and spacious, private place to gather.

A perfect place for the family!

The house itself was beautiful and spacious. Plenty of room for our extended family. We went to Chimney Rock and Biltmore before the unwanted visitor. We unfortunately were there during Hurricane Helene, so we were without power and had difficulty getting out due to trees in the road and had to cut our trip short. Of course none of this could have been prevented or expected. We were thankful to have the grill outside once the electricity went out. Neighbors and vacationers alike helped to clear the road of the trees. To say this vacation is memorable would be an understatement. We will keep the entire area in our thoughts and prayers for a quick recovery.

The cabin is a beautiful , special place— you truly feel surrounded by the lake and nature. Plus boats on site, swimming, a hot tub— everything you need for a fabulous vacation. You may even have a bear sighting! Also, Host is extremely responsive and helpful.

Private, quiet, cozy! This is our second stay in the cabin, and we feel so lucky to have found a great place in a location that suits our needs exactly. My husband likes to hunt; we both love to hike! This cabin is within 30 minutes of Lake James and the gorgeous Linville Gorge with tons of breathtaking trails to explore. Don't be scared of the steep gravel drive - just hit it with confidence and a little speed. I can't say enough how private and quiet this location is. The hot tub is so relaxing, and thoughtful touches like soft, warm outdoor lighting make it a pleasure into the evening. Speaking of thoughtful - the cabin is stocked with everything you need to whip up a quick meal with pots and pans and basic spices. Toiletries are better than most places, and there are plenty of towels and bedding. Wifi worked well, which is important since my cell signal wasn't great. It was really helpful to research surrounding activities. Hope to return soon!

This was the perfect spot to celebrate my birthday. It feels remote while also being so close to main st and minutes from Asheville. Every detail was so wonderfully curated. It was beautiful and comfortable and I cannot wait to come back throughout different seasons!

We were not able to actually stay at Lisa’s place because of Hurricane Helene, but will definitely go when we are able! Lisa was a great host, very responsive and helpful!

Loved the location. Well secluded and private but close enough to get to necessities. Tommy was quick to reply to any message that was sent and even in the event of turmoil of Hurricane Helene was quick to ensure us his place was unharmed and ready to welcome visitors.

Alison was a wonderful host, and her place was described to a tee. My family and I enjoyed our stay for our annual Christmas trip, where we went to the Biltmore Estate. Alison's Cabin provided us a private getaway that wasn't a long drive from our destination.

Esther was an awesome, communicative host, and we absolutely loved our stay in her cabin. It’s private, yet within close proximity to Saluda and Hendersonville — plus it’s less than a mile from the Little Bradley Falls trailhead. The house itself is cozy, well-equipped, and has fun art on display! We’re big fans of the front porch, which was an ideal spot to sit and read while enjoying a late summer rain.

Such a beautiful and comfortable house. Great views and for our party of 5 was excellent with 3 bedrooms and private bathrooms. We traveled with our dogs and we were very comfortable. We hope to come back some day! Great host, he answered our questions in within minutes.

We had a great time at The Lure of the Mountains. It was a little bit hard to get to but well worth the drive. Excellent views of Lake Lure and Chimney Rock area. The kitchen has most all of the basics we needed and the Weber gas grill worked perfectly. Hot tub was a plus!!! The weather forecast wasn't very good but actually turned out very nice. I would definitely recommend this house to others. 👍👍 THANKS

We stayed at Angela’s cabin for a wedding we attended right down the road. It was very cozy, clean, and comfortable. The outside creek was beautiful. Wished we could have enjoyed it longer as we were in and out the entire stay doing wedding things. We will be back!

Kevin’s place was just like the pictures and has everything we needed! It was quiet and cozy! There was a beautiful trail in the back yard and a fire pit! The road to the cabin wasn’t too bad for my little Toyota carolla as well. Would stay again thank you!

We had a wonderful week at Julie’s cabin!! It was absolutely gorgeous and everything was exactly as the listing said it would be. From the dog tether for the yard, the gas and outdoor fire places, the comfy beds, and the fully stocked kitchen, it had everything we needed for a week! We hope to come back again next fall! As other guests and Julie both mention, it’s about a 30-45 minute drive to get anywhere for food or entertainment. So get your supplies before you arrive and you will be set! Thank you Julie for everything!!

Our stay was amazing! Everything was as described! We came from Pennsylvania to spend Thanksgiving with our Florida Family who rented your other home next door! If you want to “hang up and hang out” for a long weekend, this is definitely the place to do it!! The Christmas tree was also a nice surprise! We will be back!! Continued prayers for strength and healing to the community of Old Fort and neighbors!!
