Lake house vacation rentals in Lake Hopatcong, Jefferson

My friends and I enjoyed our stay immensely. The lake was stunning and a variety of water crafts were available to use. Douglas was very communicative and sent several update and heads up messages about bears in the area, etc. The kitchen was huge and ideal for cooking meals inside or outside on the grills. The surrounding Twin Lakes and Shohola area were beautiful, people were extraordinarily friendly, and we enjoyed getting to know the neighbors/fellow renters. The only complaint from some members of the group were about the beds, but all in all the lodging and rooms were spacious and comfortable. I highly recommend Douglas’ cabin for group getaways. We will be back in the future!

Luba was absolutely amazing and always made herself available to answer questions quickly when asked. It was a much needed break from the stress and demands of work and life in general. The house was great and had a ton of awesome amenities like the hot tub, ping pong, fire pit, and a serene babbling Brooke. it made such a huge difference knowing that we could bring our four-legged fur child to enjoy it was us. Tha k you so so much!

My family stayed at Derick's place and hosted Thanksgiving there. Dinner was great with wonderful views of the lake and a visit by a bald eagle. Kathleen, our co-host did most of the communication with us and helped us get everything we needed together for a successful visit.

Yariv was a really great host and the house was perfect. More than enough space for our group of 8 adults. Everything was clean, neat and exactly as advertised. The neighbors are pretty close but they were super friendly. The lake was beautiful and we were lucky with pretty good weather. The hot tub was immaculate and a great bonus for us! Our whole group has already asked about coming back again. Yariv, thank you for helping me show my friends how beautiful New Jersey is!

We love Jody’s lake house! Nothing like waking up with the water as your backyard. So peaceful and relaxing. Fully equipped in every room. We will come again and again!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the lake house. The views were incredible as peaceful and quiet. We were traveling with two young kids. The house felt very open and safe. We enjoyed fires at night and windows open in the morning. The hot tub was great. Patrick was very responsive and helpful with trying to help us find local restaurantsand things around us. I would definitely rent the house again in the summer when we would be able to utilize the lake more.

This pretty home on Greenwood Lake was almost embarrassingly spacious -- 3 levels, a really pleasant open layout in the living room/dining room/kitchen area, huge windows facing the lake. The upstairs bedroom and bathroom also has another really nice office, perfect for a home yoga session or some quiet writing time, plus another living room/sitting area. It was late November, so we didn't get to use the outdoor seating areas, but they look inviting in nicer weather. We took lovely walks along the lake and had cozy times in the living room and were able to make a nice dinner in the well-equipped kitchen. Perfect for families. My only advice will be to bring a good sleeping mask, as mentioned in the instructions. The blinds don't cover all the upper windows in the upstairs bedroom and I was glad I had a good mask so we could snooze in the mornings. Enjoy!

This was a great stay for our family of 6 people. Lisa was friendly and communicated quickly. The house was clean, very welcoming and had everything we needed for our 3 night stay.

Eugene was very responsive and thorough. The house was even better in person. It was very clean, updated, and was in a secure gated community. We had seven adults stay for two nights and we had more than enough space for everyone. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked, and the outdoor space was icing to the cake. I would absolutely reserve this property again.

Great host. Very clear, helpful instructions and responsive. The house was better than advertised on all fronts minus a few cobwebs. Great location for a lazy, scenic weekend. Would certainly book again and highly recommend to others.

We had a wonderful stay! The house was as described and had everything you need for your stay. Dana was very quick to respond to any questions, the house was very clean and we loved the hot tub and sauna. We had a nice long weekend getaway and it was just perfect!

The photos don’t do this place justice - it’s truly a special little corner of the world and exceptionally relaxing. Everything we needed was there and Marce/Kylie were exceptionally responsive. This was one of the most relaxing getaways we’ve had in a long while; the house was perfect, and Marce / Kylie went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable. We have every intention of returning again in fall ‘25.

Our stay at Edwin’s was five star! The house was clean, the property was beautiful, and Edwin was so helpful and responsive! We would definitely visit again!

We stayed 10 nights. This place was perfect for two adults and two dogs. The queen bed was very comfortable with luxury linens. The kitchen is small but very well-equipped with cookware, cooking utensils, and a variety of pantry spices, oil, salt and pepper. It was a working trip and we cooked most of our meals. The workspace was comfortable as well.

My family and I were looking for a calm getaway, and that’s exactly what we found at Izzy and Joe’s! There is a lot to do in the area—cute town about 20 min away with great shopping and restaurants, and nearby hiking trails—but we mostly kept to the gorgeous, and comfortable house, which we loved. Joe and Izzy have exquisite taste. There are multiple comfy couches and chairs, games, many books, and tvs with all the options. And honestly the view is entertainment in itself! The beds are luxurious and everything is spotless. They’ve also thought of everything—you really can pack light. There’s an iPad with all sorts of info (about the house and the nearby area), and Joe and Izzy were very responsive and thoughtful, even offering to get the driveway shoveled when there was light snow. Fabulous, perfect trip, and we will definitely be back!

Had a great stay here for Thanksgiving with family if your looking for a peaceful break with great scenery. The house had everything we needed to cook and enjoyment for the adults and kids with the game room and lots of games!! some local small shops and restaurants close by also. we would definitely stay again in summer.

We had an amazing stay at this beautiful home! The host was extremely responsive and accommodating. We would definitely stay here again. It was very spacious and lots of fun activities on the bottom floor. It was hard returning to our condo in Brooklyn. This was a great deal and we felt right at home. Anytime there’s a welcome gift upon arrival you know the host goes above and beyond. Thank you for allowing us to stay in your lovely home.

I definitely recommend staying here. Ample space and easy access to the lake. Sam&Vik were very accomdating kind and responsive. My friends and I had a blast and felt very comfortable.

"Over the Moon" served as perfect family accommodations for my parents 50th wedding anniversary celebration in Lafayette, NJ. Peaceful cottage on Culver Lake, close to a couple of great restaurants and social spots.

Klara was a great host. The communication was easy and fast. Their place was very clean and beautiful. Me and my friends had so much fun there. I will definitely come back if I pass by PA again.
