Lake house vacation rentals in Lake Brownwood

This was our second year at Shady Shores and as always it didn't disappoint. We had a great time!

This place was great for our needs! Very clean, quiet, and relaxing. Water was up so it was nice to sit out and enjoy the view of the water. Would definitely recommend a stay here. The host was very responsive and helped out with everything! Even answered a few questions before we asked.

Beautiful place, would definitely stay again. And the host communicated well the expectations. With the recent rain Brownwood had, they let us know the boat dock was still usable, but some of the path to the dock had standing water to walk through. They were more than willing to reschedule our stay if it wasn't going to meet our expectations.

My coworkers and I shared this wonderful space while we were in town for work. We got so lucky it was available, the view to the lake was the best part of our experience! There was plenty of room for all of us to sleep, hang out, walk around outside and enjoy the fresh air. It gave us all such a cozy vibe, we were bummed when our job moved locations. We absolutely loved our stay, and Megan was an awesome host!

I honestly feel like this house deserves more than 5 stars. It felt like I was walking into my own house. I must have said oh my goodness this is so cute and cozy 100 times in our 2 night stay. All the extras like board games and a kitchen stocked with literally any tool you would need to cook was so nice. The beds were so cozy and just the whole house inside and out has such a welcoming feel to it. We will definitely be returning for a longer stay.

If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. This is definitely one of the best Airbnb's I've ever stayed in. The home was beautiful and felt like an actual home, not just a built house to profit on. The rules were simple, and there was not a massive chore list for check out, nor was there any hidden fees. The host answered every question we had quickly and was incredibly kind. The price was completely worth it and I plan to stay here again. Also it was wonderful to see all the animals. I took the mini vacation to get some peace and relaxation and I feel completely recharged. I can't recommend this house enough

Weather did not turn out the way we expected, and one of my friends did not show up because of that. Instead brought my kids and made the best of it. Location and everything were amazing perfect for the fishing getaway. Also right down the road from the state park, which has great hiking trails and fishing area also.
