Fitness-friendly vacation rentals in La Romana

Very cute place, so many restaurants around and they are all walkable. I walked by myself to get some lunch and I didn’t feel unsafe. Definitely check out the langosta the food was so good I went twice. You do have to pay for the electricity which isn’t in the listing but I think I paid $15 us for the 3 days. There’s also 24 hour security he sits in the front. I can’t in 4am one night and he was still sitting out in front which was nice. I didn’t use any of the amenities but the pool was cute. Overall I would stay here again, the AC cooled down the place really quickly as well and the room was comfortable.

This is a great place! View of the pool from the patio is exactly like the listing! Walking distance to Altos de Chavon, with lots of restaurants and some shopping. Tight security to enter Casa de Campo, which is good and bad, because any Uber or shuttle we used needed to go through a long verification process. It’s a large resort, so we rented a golf cart. Very important, especially if you want to go to the Marina, with great restaurants and shops.

Sylvie is an excellent host!! super helpful, friendly and responsive :) The place was great, exactly as described with a very comfy large bed. Had all the amenities you could want, including good air conditioning. Town and the beach are only ~10mins walk away and there are a few good dive shops, restaurants and bars to enjoy. There is some construction going on nearby, but it doesn't really affect the property as it's on the opposite side of the building, but it does mean that it is much better to come 'up' from Bayahibe and the beach direction if you're coming by car

I will explain everything in detail from an objective perspective and that of a new customer -Karina is a good host who was able to help when requested and responded quickly -The apartment is very nice, although it is not luxurious it has amenities and is much nicer than in the photos (I would go back), we went with my wife and my children aged 9 and 11 and we were very comfortable -The complex is beautiful, on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays they open the water slides (free) and they are very good, the pools are also nice. - The beach is incredibly nice, calm waters, you can go 50 meters in, which is calm, (watch out for the manta rays) few people and polite, transparent waters, a little cold but the same as in all the Dominican Republic. -The complex has only 1 restaurant, a little expensive but good. It's for going a few days. There is also a mini-market that is also a little expensive but there is nothing nearby, If you want to go shopping, I recommend Dominicus, which is nearby and has several mini-markets. Would definitely be back

My experience at this Airbnb was absolutely wonderful. The location was perfect, close to everything I needed, and the house was spotlessly clean. Every detail was thought out with care, from cozy decor to modern conveniences. The host was very attentive and was always available for any questions or recommendations, which made my stay even more special. I felt at home from the start. Excellent attention!!...the apartment is very nice, clean, super well equipped, which made us feel very comfortable. Modern appliances. The apartment is better than what you see in the photos: it is very spacious and comfortable. The attentions were thoughtful: attentive to everything and any concerns...the place is beautiful: with a very beautiful beach, where you can feed the fish and see them in cardumenes of all colors...it is an unforgettable place!

We had a wonderful stay at Pedro’s place when visiting for a family wedding. Beautiful, comfortable, walking distance to shops and restaurants in Los Altos (many friends staying in other places required cars to get everywhere) - exactly as pictured! We had a lovely visit.

We had an amazing time staying at Dawn’s penthouse! The location is fantastic, offering stunning views and a peaceful atmosphere. The penthouse itself is spacious, clean, and beautifully designed, making it a wonderful retreat. While the beach water was a bit murky, likely due to a nearby river inlet, the overall experience was still great. The pool, combined with the excellent service and friendly staff, made up for it. The property is well-maintained, and the security adds an extra layer of comfort and peace of mind. Dawn was an incredible host—responsive, friendly, and always ready to help. We highly recommend staying here for a relaxing and enjoyable getaway!

Everything is absolutely amazing. The stuff is really friendly and if you go through the house with them they are happy to clean all little things to european standard. The outside bathroom and the many many different seating areas with different atmosphere and spectacular view over the golf course and the sundown. 100% Caribbean

We really enjoyed our 7 week stay. You can walk to the village of altos de Chavon which is a cute village that was built to look like when Christopher Columbus was there. There are about seven restaurants up there all pretty good and a little market. To get to the marina, the beach or the main hotel (another 10 restaurants and a good grocery store in marina) you definitely need a car the entire complex is about the size of Manhattan the homes down that way are mansions and fun to look at the golf is of course tremendous. the kitchen was nice with new appliances and new washer and dryer. I’m sure to bring hard sole slippers as the aggregate floor is very hard on bare feet. I would also suggest an umbrella and a sharp knife and vegetable peeler (as with most Airbnbs. Syra Was Very responsive, would definitely go back. I only suggestion would be to have some comfortable outside furniture like a chase lounge or two on the little patio outside of the front door.
