Mary was a wonderful host and her place was actually better than the photos or descriptions let on. She made sure to thoughtfully stock the place with lots of snacks and random things a person might want or need on their vacation. She was kind and considerate. The place was peaceful and clean and well worth the expense.

Absolutely loved my stay! Perfect little getaway. Enjoyed the peace and privacy. Didn’t feel the need to leave and explore, we had everything we needed available to relax and unwind. 💜

If you're looking for the perfect place to unplug, relax and enjoy some together time this is it. From the private hot tub to the moon tower to the comfortable bed you cannot go wrong booking this cabin for you and your significant other. Also, the muffins are delicious and a nice little surprise!

We loved our stay on Lake Somerville. It was the perfect, peaceful retreat to celebrate Thanksgiving with our Aggie. Loved all the deer running around and walking by the lake.

My wife, infant, and I loved the place (well my infant probably was indifferent). It was easy to check-in. It was peaceful and relaxing. I would definitely come back.

This place is absolutely beautiful. If you are looking for a peaceful getaway, make friends with some sweet goats, smell the pine trees and cherish the nature- this is THE place. We absolutely loved our stay and can’t wait to go back. The space and location was everything we were looking for a romantic getaway.

Dala Woods is the place. My family of 12 stayed here and everyone felt right at home. It was well accommodated cottages and the pool is a major plus. For sure staying here again, this is a great weekend getaway! Stores aren’t far if you forget something, they provide mostly everything and the locations is true Texas vibe, fell in love with Dala Woods.

We loved the cabin and had a relaxing weekend. it was a nice quiet getaway. The wifi and television were not working, but thankfully we had cell service. Bring a flashlight if you plan on going back and forth to your vehicle after dark. The location is perfect. Just close enough to Round Top for convenience, and just far enough away for peace and quiet. We may be planning a return trip with about 18 more people.

After a rough few months for my wife and I, this was the perfect place to disconnect with stress and reconnect with my wife. Serana is BEAUTIFUL all around. The cabin was very cleaned and freshened up, the communal areas are nicely lit and well organized. So many items were available in case you wanted to cook, including a gas grill and pellet smoker. It was nice and quiet away from all the city noise. If you’re looking for a place to get in touch with nature and connect with your spouse/parter, then this is the ideal place. Zach and his wife were both kind and responsive with my concerns. We left our coats and they kindly offered to mail them to us, which is greatly appreciated. I would definitely come back and plan on returning during spring when the rest of the cabins are finished being built. Thank you!

This is a gorgeous property. It is the kind of place my wife and I could come and stay a week just relaxing. It is so quiet and beautiful with a huge deck and sparkling pool. We were able to sit on the deck at night and watch the deer that were just steps away from us. The home is clean and modern and had all of the amenities one may need. I highly recommend this property. It is about a 40 minute drive to Texas A&M but it is absolutely worth it just for the peace and quite. We will definitely be staying here again. Also, the host, Aldo, is fantastic. He was super responsive, helpful and flexible. He gets an A+ in my book!

Sandi and Stephen are wonderful hosts! They provided us with a delicious egg puff breakfast with sour cream, avocado, homeade salsa, fresh cows milk, and fresh orange juice in the fridge! They also provided a delicious and unexpected snack of pine bark which I loveddd! Their beautiful property makes you feel as if you are in another world and the carriage house makes you feel as if you have traveled back in time! Staying here will 100% inspire you to buy some gorgeous land of your own to make your home haha! We wanted to go on the hammock, but it was a little dirty (being outisde of course) I messaged Sandi to ask if it was okay to lay some of their towels out on it (which we were completely fine with doing) and Sandi replied to my message almost immediately. Stephen was so quick to replace the hammock with a brand new one, completely unnecessary, but so so generous, kind, and considerate of them! They are such generous and kind hosts/people.

Exactly what we were looking for - some peace and quiet away from the city. We really enjoyed being able to interact with the horses and other animals. Breakfast was delicious and Walter and Judy were very sweet, great hosts. I was able to do one ride on a stallion which was a very cool experience (extra cost). Just keep in mind you are staying on a working farm. This is very much a farm house - not perfect or modern, which was fine with us. My only complaint would be that it had some cobwebs and dust that looks like it hasn’t been touched in a long, long time. However the bedroom, kitchen and bathroom was clean. We would definitely come back. Walter and Judy made us feel very welcome and like we were a part of the family. They even invited us out to dinner one night! Bring bug spray!

My husband and I found just the place to unplug, unwind, relax, and reconnect! We stayed in the Potter’s Shed, which was clean and cozy, and just so perfect for the two of us! The bed and lines were amazingly comfortable, and we slept wonderfully. We enjoyed sitting in the rocking chairs on the porch in the mornings and evenings, and exploring the beautiful grounds which felt like an enchanted, secret garden. Especially when all of the paths were lit with hanging lights at night. Sandi and Steve were most welcoming and made us feel right at home upon their welcoming us in, even later than we had hoped to arrive. The homemade and pre-prepared breakfast dishes left in the fridge for us were absolutely scrumptious, and I may be begging for those recipes in the near future! We will be returning, as well as recommending to family and friends!

My BFF and I needed a "mom's night away". We didn't want to be around crowds or stay in a typical hotel. This property was the ideal get away where we could unwind, explore, and have some much needed girlfriend time! I purchased food for us to prepare for dinner in the Barn. It was perfect! The kitchen had everything we needed. Our breakfast was waiting for us in the refrigerator when we arrived with instructions on how to prepare it the next morning. We thoroughly enjoyed visiting with Sandi and Stephen and seeing their lovely property. I can't wait to take my husband back for a night away soon!

My family was there for my oldest son's wedding. We drove up to the house to our surprise, there were 4 deer just grazing in the yard. The whole weekend was filled with deer wandering around. It was beautiful and relaxing. Joy was spectacular at responding to all of my messages. Can't wait to go for another visit.

"Oh wow," is all I could say; the place was absolutely AMAZING! Our stay was extremely relaxing and peaceful and the quietness was lovely. It was such a beautiful place to get away, meditate and connect with nature. Everything about the house was perfect, very nice and clean. The beds were so comfortable with plenty of linens. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook a great meal, and dining room was perfect for our family of six. We were a small group so the house was extremely spacious. The laundry room was nice to utilize and likewise had everything we needed to wash a couple of loads. The jacuzzi in the master bedroom was awesome!! Wishing we could have stayed longer. Lastly, we're grateful for our wonderful host, Shemuel. Thank you again, for an absolutely wonderful stay.

We stayed at The Snug so we could attend Sherwood Forest Faire’s Celtic Music Festival, and we were so pleased with our accommodations at the end of each rainy day in the woods! The Festival site is just a quick five minute (2 mile) drive down the road, so very convenient. This will be our “go-to” place to stay any time we return to Sherwood Forest Faire.

There are sonmany words to describe this place.....a few....Quiet, Tranquil ,Peaceful a little place away from home. I love how it's away from the city but yet grounded by nature. Our host Eduardo went above and beyond to make this stay a memorable one! Even added a final touch to a birthday surprise ❤️ Thank you for allowing us into your little peace of oasis .

Evonne is just the most awesome lady, just downright friendly. I loved it, in such a peaceful environment, quiet and just what I wanted. My life style usually has hundreds to thousands around me and this was just so refreshing & able to communicate with 1. Very few chances to make friends in what I do and this was above and beyond expectations! I am so grateful for Evonne's drive, hard work and talent! I will always want to go back! It's her place and the cutest little cottage with everything you need. Much obliged, a thank you isn't enough for all Evonne has put into this historical cottage and all she uses to keep history alive. I admire her talents!

Would definitely stay here again! Makes for a perfect weekend getaway. The hosts provided clear and accurate instructions, the place was as described and very clean, and we loved getting to feed the animals the provided treats. :)
