Great check-in experience

Recent guests loved the smooth start to this stay.
Escape to Casa Hiedra, a private retreat on our family dairy farm, surrounded by lush pastures, cows and beautiful mountain views. Enjoy your private pool, peaceful sunrises and sunsets, and spacious indoor-outdoor living. With 3 bedrooms, a full kitchen and comfortable spaces to relax, it’s perfectly located between Bajos del Toro and La Fortuna, close to waterfalls and adventures, yet away from the crowds.

The space
Two spacious primary bedrooms face the pool a 3rd bedroom in the back of the house faces the garden and pineapple fields.

The home’s tropical indoor-outdoor design gives each bedroom its own private exterior entrance from the covered terraces.

Guest access
Guests will have full access to the whole property.

Other things to note
Casa Hiedra is located on a fully operational family dairy farm, so you’ll see cows grazing nearby and may occasionally hear normal farm activity. For everyone’s safety, please don’t enter the pastures without a member of our family and don’t touch the electric fence.

Because we’re surrounded by nature, harmless insects may occasionally appear, especially after dark. Keeping bedroom doors closed at night helps keep them outside.

Quiet hours are 8 PM–8 AM. An EV charging outlet is available nearby; guests should bring their own compatible charger.

Private chef service available for a fee.

For the security of the property, an exterior security camera monitors the outdoor pool and terrace area. The camera does not monitor any indoor spaces.

I’m originally from Costa Rica and have called Houston home for more than 25 years. Traveling around the world has taught me what makes a stay memorable: comfort, thoughtful details and genuine hospitality. Casa Hiedra is especially meaningful to me because it’s located on my family’s farm, where I grew up surrounded by the beautiful landscape of San Carlos. My family and I love sharing this special part of Costa Rica with our guests. Pura vida!
