I almost don’t want to write a raving review just to make it stay a hidden gem! This is truly a fantastic place to stay, hosts are amazing and everything is well maintained and taking care of. If you want to be in the most beautiful region of Norway, hike, drive, enjoy northernlight and the luxury of activities and ammenities, this is your place! We will definitely come back!

We absolutely loved our stay in this beautiful cabin in Tromso, Norway. Our hosts were incredible, very attentive and so kind. I never imagined how relaxing it would be surrounded by nature. It was an amazing place with a great mix of peace and serenity yet close enough to enjoy access to the city. You definitely need a car but I highly recommend this spot. It was perfect for our family. Thank you for your hospitality.

This is a jewel! This place felt like home while we were a bit unfortunate with the weather. Amazing dancing northern lights from the balcony. Perfect get away place while still having a supermarket 7km down the road. Hiking around the lake at camp nikka is amazing. Don’t hesitate to book this place :)

We will be very happy to stay in Elisabet cottage and we recommend to anyone looking for a quiet and beautifully located place at the optimal distance from the airport in Tromso! The place is completely as described and photographed in the ad. All rooms are very clean and if needed, cleaning supplies are available in the cottage. The kitchen is well-equipped, so we could prepare homemade meals and hang out at the big table. The view from the windows is beautiful, it's incredibly cozy and warm inside. Elisabet quickly responds to messages and is very helpful, provided us with clear instructions before arrival, and is also happy to recommend local experiences. Checking in and out is easy and quick. I recommend it with all my heart!

Joakim is an excellent host. She responds very quickly to every question and solves all issues instantly. The place we stayed was extraordinarily nice. Everything you can think of or you don't have in this house. Watching aurora in the jacuzzi outside is an amazing experience. Since the house is located in a quiet and light-free area, it is much nicer to watch the aurora. We had the chance to watch the aurora for the entire 3 days of our stay. It takes about 1.5 hours to get to the house from Tromso airport, but there is no problem with transportation as the roads are constantly cleaned. We had a fire in the evening, both inside and out, and joakim provided plenty of wood for it. There was everything in the house, you don't need anything extra. In summary, we had a great 3 days in this house and would definitely stay here again if I were to come back.

Eindride has been a very good host and was very responsive and warm and friendly. Also I’m very thankful he organized a ride to Tromsø for us! The cabin was very cozy and homely and has a beautiful view of the fjords and mountains, and also proved to be good place to see the Northern Lights.

During our Nordic tour, we have been to Sommarøy for two nights. Between the snow storms, we were able to take two small walks. We have seen bald eagles, and snow fowls, reindeer, and elk.

Was the perfect Norwegian cabin experience, being isolated in the wood, in dark it makes it perfect to see the northern lights, and having a peep at the wildlife. The cabin itself makes the whole stay very cozy and enjoyable!

Great cabin in a quite place with Aurora visible just by stepping outside the door. Very well equipped kitchen and very cosy living room. Bathroom could use a small renovation but otherwise the cabin feels fresh and well thought out. Thank you Kristoffer!

What a lovely place to stay - we had a great time.

A wonderful location right on the water! As others have mentioned, parking is a little tricky the first time but then you know better what to look for and we found it always accessible and not too slippy of a walk down to the cabin. The view is gorgeous and we had two nights of Northern Lights filling the dark skies! It’s 25ish minutes from Tromso but an easy drive with constant road maintenance in the area. Svein was always super responsive and helpful! A point to remember, there is no WiFi…I think I overlooked that at booking but it was still all good! Also note that garbage is pack in/pack out so be prepared in that regard. Just mentioning those points but shouldn’t be a game changer! Excellent comfortable bed!

Very nice place. Close to nature. We were lucky enough to observe a fishing eagle from the cabin in the morning and the northern lights in the evening. We will come back without hesitation if the opportunity arises. A big thank you to you May-Tordis for hosting us in your cabin.

We had a wonderful stay at this cabin. It was warm, comfortable, and had everything we needed to feel at home. The heating was excellent, and between the blankets, fireplace, and firepit, we were always cozy, even with the snow outside. The kitchen was well-stocked, making it easy to cook whatever we wanted. One of the highlights was the sauna—relaxing in the heat while watching the snowfall outside was a great experience. The shower was also really good, with strong water pressure and plenty of space. The location was fantastic. We saw moose nearby, which was a real treat, and the hike to Simavika was beautiful. The shelter at Gammen ved Simavikelva made for a great stopping point and was accessible to all. What really stood out was the host. They were incredibly friendly and responsive, even bringing medicine when one of us wasn’t feeling well—something we really appreciated. Overall, a great stay, and we’d love to come back!

My dog and I spent a week of (remote) work and travel at Siris house and it was absolutely perfect. Very quiet, breathtaking landscape and the clearest sky I have seen in my life so far. Stunning. Highly recommend not only for all that but also because the host is perfect!

Staying at Kristine's Hytte in Tromvik was amazing! From the first moment we got in, we fell in love with this cottage. The coziness is unbeatable. The location, right on the fjord and the view is stunning. The cottage is large enough for 8 people. Every room is friendly and warm. In Tromvik you should vacation if you want to be far away from hustle and bustle. A place of silence and for recreation. For long walks in the unreal rough nature of Northern Norway. Here you can relax and Kristine's Hytte is perfect for that. And you can see the northern lights when they're there from the balcony! We were lucky three times! Top 10/10 We'd love to come back!

We stayed at 4 in this beautiful and tastefully furnished cottage, the location has a lot of charm and is really quiet making it a perfect place to disconnect from everything! Wonderful fjord and mountain views 😁

The place was super comfortably furnished. The apartment was very well equipped. The location on the lake and mountains is just fantastic. A fireplace has beautified the evenings and just invited to unplug. From the terrace we could enjoy the gigantic view of the aurora lights. I can only recommend Karin and Sigurd's cabin.

This place is amazing! 10/10 🩷 Definitely recommending!!! 🩷 💛🩵 the cottage is very pretty and clean, the view is INCREDIBLE, and has everything you need 😊 the hosts are great, so nice and friendly people, extremely helpful in every way 😊 the best advantages are: the opportunity to see beautiful polar lights if the sky is clear from inside of the cottage and the terrace, which we were lucky to experience 😊 and the trail nearby to Blåtinden Mountain, which has great view for the whole fjord and other mountains 🩷 the bigger part of the trail is quite easy but in winter you definitely need spikes on shoes, and the last part is more advance but you don’t need to go to the top to enjoy beautiful view 😊 the place is available by the city bus from Tromsø (number 100) which is cheap and easy (check Svipper App), the only problem: the bus goes only few times a day.

It was a wonderful drive up to Amadeus' place, with incredible scenery. Upon arrival we were greeted with a warm welcome and friendly demeanor by Amadeus' father, who immediately started chatting making us feel right at home. This continued throughout the stay, as his father greeted us every morning and even brought us lovely duck and goose eggs. Furthermore, he told us more about the surroundings and the activities we can expect to do. Amadeus was really pleasant to talk to aswell but his commitment to his guests are unparalleled as, we got stuck on their driveway (our fault as our car was not 4x4) and he immediately came out in the cold to scrape the driveway with their tractor and stayed to make sure we were parked. The cabin itself was really clean and cozy with a lovely wood fired fireplace with everything needed for a comfy stay. The best part was the beautiful views of the aurora borealis from the cabin, serene nature and soothing sounds of streams and melodic sheep bells chimin

This was easily our favourite air bnb and we have used the plaform for all our trips for the past several years. It is beautiful. Homely, cozy, quirky, personal and extremely welcoming. The hosts were extremely helpful and responsive and if we come again I wouldn't think of booking anywhere else Hot tub is also a huge bonus - an interesting experience in sub zero temperatures.

Solli was amazing, a wonderful place. Away from the city and close to the magic! I really recommend this place if you want to be away from the light of the city to see the northern lights. We saw a lot from our window and bed, it was beautiful! Thanks to Frances who was very responsive and very nice during our exchanges.

Good location, if the sky is clear you see the Northern Lights from the house. Likely that the fireplace is not to be used and some room gets cold, there are many utensils in the kitchen, but some frying pan is missing. The house is very welcoming and the host responds right away. Please note that it is tricky to find where to throw the garbage.
