The Jungle Huts are a wonderful place to escape to. Very comfortable rooms and all the staff are incredibly friendly and accommodating. We also arranged a great jungle trek and other activities through Jason, making for a hassle-free experience. Would definitely recommend a stay here.

A great place to stay, the view was outstanding. It is a good size and we enjoyed the balcony during the night. Lots of privacy which in turn makes it a little further to get to, nothing crazy but something to keep in mind.

If you are looking for a peaceful place to stay at a good price, this is it! Don’t expect a 5 star resort— this is a family-run joint with cute dogs and cats running around the large, beautiful property. There is AC and a queen bed. They will answer and arrange all your questions (including transportation), include home-cooked breakfast, and are very hospitable and respectful. Thank you so much, would book again!

Wow what a beautiful place, this property is so pretty and in the middle of a cute village. Big , spacious house with big kitchen, dining room and cozy bedrooms. Very clean and neat place. The house has a cute small garden area within the house. Bathrooms were very clean and had all the amenities. Kitchen is well equipped with everything we needed to cook. We cooked all our meals without any problem. The hosts are one wonderful couple we met. Very nice and friendly people.They received us like their family . We felt right at home. They were so responsive and provided everything we asked for within minutes. They live on the same street and were available all the time to help us with a FRIENDLY SMILE.. .This couple knows what Hospitality really means. Location is so close to the actual Jungle. Excellent Experience at Pondoak Wisata Guesthouse! From the moment I arrived, the staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. I am very grateful for the treatment I received and the help they provided during my trip. They were always willing to answer all my questions and make recommendations on what to do in the area, as well as helping me exchange euros. The atmosphere at the guesthouse is cozy and relaxed, perfect for resting after a day of exploring the jungle. The rooms were nice, and the food was delicious. I highly recommend this place to any traveler visiting Ketambe!

Beautiful bungalow tucked into the jungle with wonderful host family. Everyone was very friendly and helpful, we would especially recommend Ronnie, our guide on the jungle trek. It was a most peaceful 2 nights. One consideration when booking this place: as it is in the proper jungle (but with all basic amenities), you will be doing like a 15 minute trek uphill, so I do not recommend rolling suitcases to take up. We had our backpacks, it was worth the small hike.

We had an amazing time at obiwan in bukit lawang. The accommodation is subject to European standards, was clean and the location right on the jungle river is unique. Obiwan organized everything for us: transportation, tours, shopping. He introduced us to various tours. He was always there for us and very friendly and courteous. We laughed a lot. Nice guy! We also fell in love with the team for the jungle trip (especially Imran). We spent a night in the jungle with them and saw oran utans and other animals. That was an incredible experience. And you just have to love the guides. We had lots of fun. We also recommend a visit to the elephants. Since our trip was unfortunately very short, we would like to come back sometime and explore the village more. The locals were very friendly and welcoming. This wonderful place needs more support! more support!

An absolutely wonderful place to experience Bukit Lawang, the staff is wonderful, and the food is quite nice. If you are going in a jungle trek, ask for Josef!
