Vacation rentals with breakfast in Kololi, Serrekunda

Located in a village, not very lively, there are a few hotels on this street, it is a bit deserted on the road during the day, very quiet and beautiful, suitable for vacation, very close to the beach, although the facilities are not very new, but the facilities are not very new, but it is clean and tidy, and it is very good value for money in this area.You can walk about 700/600 meters to the Pacha, take the minibus for 25d people, and transfer one or two stops to the city.

Home away from home: Welcome - We were welcomed by our driver Solomon at the airport and from there it's just a 30-min drive to The Plantation. On arrival we were greeted with a welcome drink and big smiles from Nikki and Neil who immediately made us feel very at home. Pool area - Gorgeous pool area set in beautiful garden with a lovely mango tree, lots of flowers and some young banana trees. Lovely birdsong in the mornings. Comfortable luxury loungers for each guest by the poolside. Room - Lovely spacious room (room 6) with comfortable mattresses, fan (with handy USB charger), plenty of clothing space and wet room ensuite. Food - We had dinner at The Plantation 3 times because the food was that good - butterfish night is highly recommended! Delicious breakfast in the mornings with oven-warm bread, eggs, fresh fruit, cereal and juice cooked by the lovely Woori. Staff were wonderful - Solomon in particular is a gentle giant and a highly recommended guide/driver for any outdoor trips. We really enjoyed the time we spent with him. Nikki and Neil couldn't have done more to make our visit very special - they worked hard to meet our every desire, were always on hand and always welcoming. Area - The location of The Plantation offers a perfect opportunity to experience "the real Gambia," set just outside the village of Ghana town and a 10-15min walk to the working beach of Brufut, where you can watch the fishermen pull in their catch of the day. Highly recommend contributing to the local economy by visiting one of the low-key (!) beach bars run by local Gambians along the beach. All in all we had a lovely stay and the room rates offer excellent value for money. Nikki has a keen eye for detail and worked tirelessly to make sure the guest experience was always a good one. Thanks for a wonderful stay Matty and Donald. We felt very happy and safe with you as hosts and with all the staff working with cleaning and the reception. Everyone has been helpful and welcoming. Super nice apartment with kitchen and washingmachine. Perfect for a longer stay - we felt at home.

Extremely friendly community with a great view of nature. Delicious food, and the host Lamin is amazing. He knows the area, knows the people, and knows how to cater to you for what is best for your desires for your stay in Gambia so you will be left with gratitude. Only regret is that I couldn’t stay longer.

Bakery's place is just wonderful, surrounded by nature, quite and peaceful ✌️ Really relaxing . Nights you hear only the sea and the animals. If you are searching for a paradise, it's here. We are coming back, next time in the Gambia
