Family-friendly vacation rentals in Klickitat River

Loved the place I would go back again. Would love to go back when it is warmer so we could enjoy sitting out back on the deck and listening to the river. Couple of things to keep in mind. It tells you that they will give you a bundle of wood but if you want to start a fire in the fireplace for each day you are there you will definitely need to bring your own wood. The internet is very spotty. Tried watching Netflix and it would stop on us to look for internet service again. We had a hard time figuring out the TV and what remote to use to get to Netflix and so forth. They do good on giving you directions on how to turn the surround sound on but we didn’t see anything about the TV. There is a road right next to the house and cars drive very fast on it so make sure to watch pets. But again I liked the place.

+: Looking forward to returning with my family. Host was attentive and quick to respond. Beds were all comfy. Place stayed warm the entire time. Home has a lot of essentials in kitchen and even board games! Hot tub was relaxing. Tons of towels were easy to access if needed. Location was great, serene sounds and close to many trails. -: (I’m being picky here) Downside is that I feel like check-in could be an hour earlier since we are responsible for starting loads of sheets and taking trash out. Found a few dust balls in living room, cobwebs on the chandelier and Cheetos under one of the beds.

We had a very relaxing stay. The cabin is very cozy & just like the photos. The forest surrounding it is beautiful & gives a lot of privacy. The host has thought of everything. The cabin is well stocked with everything needed, & for a rustic mountain cabin, it was nice & clean. We loved the decor. The bed & linens were very comfortable. The host was communicative & helpful. The Skyway Bar & Grill was a great suggestion, we very much enjoyed a dinner there. It’s a little tricky to find, the address from GPS directs you the house on the road infront of the cabin. You have to go further down the road & up a gravel road/driveway, but it wasn’t hard to figure out. Our AWD Tiguan made it up the bumpy/steep driveway just fine. There was lots of trillium blooming, it was beautiful! There was space to fetch our dogs. The hot tub was very clean, hot, well lit & covered from the elements. The proximity to Mt.Hood is great, my husband spent a day there snowboarding. We will book again! Ty!

Cozy cabin in a gorgeous peaceful location. Everything we needed was there, including a pre-laid fire! The views were gorgeous and made for the perfect get-away!

We had a wonderful stay in their home. We were in the area for work for the week and had plenty of room for three grown men. Their neighborhood was quiet, and we slept well each night. The communication the whole time we were there was well beyond expectation as well.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at your place. It was incredible to forest bathe and spend time together as a family in such a special place. We are looking forward to visiting again!!

What a fantastic cabin for some Mt. Rainier adventures. Cozy and warm and i just love the astatic that the owners choose. Private, quiet and romantic for sure. Hot tub was clean and perfect, private and under the cover of massive trees. Used the tub on cold and rainy night, tress kept much if the cold rain away. Bed was very nice with great linens and blankets. Local deer wanted to befriend me both mornings. Host provided all needed info and some about the local area. A beautiful and cozy cabin to stay at for some privacy and rest after exploring Mt. Rainier. If available in the future, i will definitely return when visiting south Mt. Rainier. 5 stars.

I loved this location and the house served our purposes perfectly. Very close to several gorgeous hikes, short drives to The Dalles and Hood River for restaurants, and the view of the Columbia River was stupendous. We really were comfortable and enjoyed our visit to Oregon very much because of the chance to stay here.

Best place we’ve stayed in at this price point, ever! Spectacular views out every window make the place feel bigger than It is. Sparkling clean, comfortable, with nice welcoming touches like board games in the closet for a rainy day. Our family of four adored it. And THOSE VIEWS!

The space is lovely and the sauna is a huge plus. I'm not sure where the complaints about privacy are coming from, the unit is about as far away as you'd expect neighbors to be and the shades are easy to use.

If you're looking for a charming, rustic, mystical cabin in the woods, this is the place to be! It was built in the 1930s and you can feel that the place has a lot of character and personality. We went there for our spring break and had a lovely time. If you step out on the porch to sit on the swing, you can hear the Henry creek flowing in the distance and it's really relaxing to hear that. We didn't really use the top floor as it was a bit colder, and didn't use the sauna so can't comment on that. For us, the highlight was the cozy living area downstairs, the swing on the porch & walking distance to a pizza place, a coffee place and a wilderness trail.

The unit worked well for our stay in Yakima. The unit was clean and the kitchen well stocked with pans, dishware, etc.

Our girls’ weekend at Summyr & Kirk’s beautiful home far exceeded our expectations! Not only was the house beautiful & cozy, but the amenities and little touches throughout left nothing to be desired. One of the best Airbnbs I’ve ever stayed at! Additionally, Summyr was very responsive and went above and beyond. The views were incredible, the Eagle’s nest was the perfect hideaway to hang out, and we loved the family of deer that visited frequently. Perfect place for a long weekend. Would give 6 stars if I could!

We’ve been to WMR, many times. Just 1 hour from busy Portland life, we love to escape here. The property is pristinely kept, uber peaceful, and the cabins are so quaint! We’ll be back time and time again.

Great location and a beautiful view. Even though there are a few cabins next door, it feels completely private. All the windows face a beautiful forested area and creek. The hot tub was wonderful and the house is clean.

Really enjoyed this second stay at Chris’ place! Cozy, peaceful and clean. The hot tub was wonderful after a day of hiking.

The house was beautiful and even better than we expected. The hot tub was amazing even in the snow and the river view from the deck was majestic. There was plenty of room for the family, lots for us to do together and just a short drive to the pass for some fun in the snow. Highly recommend!

We have visited many times and continue to find the place and Tracy to be top-notch which is one of the reasons we keep coming back. The place checks all of our boxes for a relaxing, romantic getaway.

We recently spent a weekend at this charming cabin in Packwood, and we couldn’t have asked for a better getaway. From the moment we walked in, it felt cozy and inviting, with beautiful rustic touches that made it feel like a true home away from home. Every amenity we needed was already there—kitchen supplies, comfortable bedding, and a great living space to relax in after a day of skiing. The setting itself was peaceful and scenic, and we only wish we could have extended our stay. We’re already looking forward to booking this cabin again the next time we’re in the area!

This is the closest you will come to ski-in, ski-out on Mt. Hood; very convenient short walk to the tubing hill and Ski Bowl. I appreciated that the condo was so well stocked with household items that you may have forgotten to bring; foil, plastic wrap, spices, cleaning supplies. Truly, it was the best stocked condo I've ever rented. They also had a wonderful supply of children's toys, sleds, games and even a play area for little ones. We had a great time and many thanks for all the thoughtful and considerate amenities.

This is the 3rd year I’ve stayed here for my anniversary weekend. It’s a nice peaceful reset. ❤️

An amazing find that we’d love to come back to! The house was wonderful and large enough for our group! We were able to cook group meals in the kitchen and spread throughout the house. The hot tub was lovely and I’m sad we were just a couple weeks early to appreciate the pool (which is why we’ll have to come back)! The park across the street was nice and overall our experience was exceptional!
