Fantastic family accommodation. Beautiful views & stylish but practical interior. Lots for kids to do inside the house (for bad weather days!). Would highly recommend and we hope to stay there again if we come back to Iceland in the future!

This place was perfect! 4 adult and 4 kids. It was absolutely beautiful home and the owners were so responsive and helpful. The house is walking distance to food markets and some restaurants and only 20 min drive from downtown Reykjavik. Walking trails all along the area. We could not have picked a better place to stay for our visit to Iceland, highly recommend this place!

If you are going to Iceland, I can not say enough about this space. I got lost the first night, which was my fault and I forgot where I put the code to the lock box. The space was gorgeous, I saw the northern lights from the outside deck, we were on the water, the sunsets were stunning. You could have fit 4 easily, but if you have children, the couches where very comfortable so you could fit more. You had every amenity you could need (well, I could need) I could go on and on, but suffice it to say, it was perfect for us, and the hosts were great. Thank you for a wonderful lodging for our stay.

We really felt at home and enjoyed relaxing, cooking, talking and closing out the day at Bjarni’s family home. All was wonderfully prepared for our visit and very comfortable.

Our favorite Airbnb ever! This gorgeous house was tastefully decorated with amazing amenities and surrounded by breathtaking scenery. Everything was spotless, and the instructions were clear. Telma was friendly and responsive, making us feel right at home. It was the perfect end to our vacation – waking up on the lake with mountain views and goats passing by each day. The weather was rough during our visit so we spent a lot of our time indoors - this was the perfect retreat. We already miss the sauna, it was hard to say goodbye. Absolutely perfect in every way! Thanks for the memories.

Katla's house is spacious, bright, clean and tidy. It is very close to the city center (10 minutes by car), which is very convenient for shopping and eating. There is a gray cat in the house, which is very cute. After 9 days of getting along, we have become good friends and are super happy! I recommend this house!

Beautiful spacious apartment with all the facilities you would need. Clear instructions for any appliances (and an Easter egg!) left by the host. Very easy check in and out. Great location with restaurants, bars and shops just a 5/10 minute walk away. We hired a car for driving out of the centre but parking was always available just outside. Gas/petrol stations really close by and the local roads were easy to navigate. Nina was a great host and was very welcoming from beginning to end. 100% recommend - this was perfect!

Cannot honestly not say enough positive things about Phil’s responsiveness as a host, and the genuine level of care and concern he showed for me and my travel group. From Day 1, he welcomed us, provided all the necessary information to ensure a seamless experience; he also routinely checked in to make sure we had everything we needed. The listing itself was perfect. Pristine in terms of upkeep, and a phenomenal location that was walking distance to everything in the heart of the city. Views from the balcony and the kitchen are EXACTLY as they appear in the listing photos. Absolutely breathtaking. Highly recommend this listing to anyone looking to experience the beauty of Reykjavik.

Absolutely great find! The location was absolutely perfect. Located in a quiet neighborhood adjacent to miles of running and walking trails full of stunning views. This accommodation has incredible views overlooking the ocean and the screened in porch is perfect for viewing the sunset. The place is super clean with fresh linens and comfy beds. The temperature was great and it was really quiet. Super responsive host. A short drive to downtown Reykjavik and a perfect launch point for your daily excursions and beyond.

Ingunn’s apartment was beautiful, spacious, and comfortable. The heated bathroom floor was a great perk! Ingunn was communicative and helpful, and very friendly. We had a very nice time there.

Such a beautiful home! It’s bigger than the photos, high ceilings, modern heating and so much natural light. The second living room and bedroom are almost their own little apartment in themselves so it provided privacy. Bathroom is huge and washer/dryer worked great. It’s right off rainbow road and close to nightlife/restaurants/shops but super quiet inside. There’s a bar/bookstore around the corner with a nightly band that was phenomenal. Such a great space, we didn’t want to leave!

Robert and Iris were amazing hosts. He was there to greet us at check in after an early morning flight and give us a tour of the home, there were some welcome treats, and everything was so clean and cute! We were convenient to downtown without the hecticness, tucked away in a cute little neighborhood. We had an amazing view from the wrap around balcony to the city's fireworks display. It was truly the most amazing location for New Year's Eve. Communication was excellent, going out of their way to assist us with multiple requests and went well above and beyond. We were so appreciative of everything and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The home was just perfect for our multi-generational family trip.

We loved Iceland, the Icelandic people and our host. Thorunn went the extra mile for us, allowed us early check in and even shopped for some essentials to help us go about our first day. She was communicative and very helpful. House was lovely, some great design ideas and touches and clearly a well loved family home. Would recommend to anyone who needs a home away from home in Reykavik,

What a place! Agusta’s house is amazing, super clean, the views are incredible, easy 30-40 min walk to the centre of Reykjavik along the water or super easy bus transport network (we did not have a car on this trip)… and didn’t need one. Well equipped kitchen. Excellent communication with Agusta leading up to and during our trip with some lovely recommendations. We had lots of snow during our visit over NYE and Agusta left out some snow bikes for us to use on the hill next to her home which our son loved. Such a lovely neighbourhood we would highly recommend staying here. We were a family of 7 adults and a 3 year old child. NYE from Agustas house was spectacular watching the fireworks from the hill over Reykjavik - once in a lifetime for sure. We would come back in a heartbeat.

10/10 recommend. Perfect trip from start to finish. Eugenia is a lovely host. Personable and kind to communicate with via the Airbnb platform. This house is simply incredible. If you’re thinking of visiting Iceland don’t hesitate, you’ll be blown away by the nature, peace and beauty. The house is 45 mins - 1 hour from the airport and Reykjavik. It’s in the middle of the “Golden Circle” where you’ll be able to see many waterfalls, the Geyser etc. It’s a private community of secluded houses in the valley of some mountains. 4x4 recommended as it’s a dirt road for 5-10 mins from the main road. Everything works perfectly in the house. Fireplace, BBQ, well stocked kitchen, all taps had boiling hot and freezing cold water (so refreshing!). Very clean house and felt like home for the week. Jacuzzi, sauna and cold plunge were nice perks. You can hike the mountain behind the house and find blueberries. 100% perfect stay for a family or a group of friends. Thank you, Eugenia!
