Room 101

It was nice that the room and service were minimal and easy to use. We also live in Himi, a fishing village on the coast of Toyama Prefecture, but the atmosphere is completely different, and we could feel the proximity of the mountains and the fact that it is a town of craftsmen, especially from the air around Mizunami-dera.
A modern, three-story building is set against a backdrop of snowy landscape. Large windows are visible on the upper levels, and a welcoming entrance is framed by snowbanks. The property name is displayed prominently at the front, enhancing the overall appeal.

I wish I could give this property more than 5 stars!
In my 10 years as an Airbnb user, Yuri is by far the best host we’ve had. She is communicative, respectful of privacy, and generous. The house is exceptionally clean (even by Japanese standards), well-stocked, and spacious enough for our party of four. The photos simply don’t do this property justice. It is professionally managed by a team that clearly cares about their clients. We will definitely return! (As a side note: We’ve recently started staying in hotels more often due to the inconsistent quality and cleanliness of many of the Airbnbs. However, properties like this one and hosts like Yuri truly embody the spirit of Airbnb.)

Lovely house, well built, in a sweet neighborhood, close to a lovely forest. We enjoyed the house very much, we sat by the fire when it snowed outside and it was magical. Thank you for hosting us!
The entrance of the traditional house is framed by a gravel path and neatly arranged plants. A large sliding door opens onto a welcoming space, while windows on either side allow natural light to fill the interior. The peaked roof complements the serene hillside backdrop.

6 minutes to the National Treasure Inuyama Castle, with excellent access to the airport, Nagoya, Gifu, and Takayama, making it a great starting point for any adventure!

It is a very nice house. It is a bit noisy due to the nearly road and train tracks during the day, but it wasn’t too bad during the night. Definitely rent a car if you want to stay here, or get taxis to go into town, since the station is a good walk away. Once you get a car, accessing the mountains is a breeze and traffic is quite low. The host was amazing. She picked us up from the train station on arrival and dropped us off at the train station when we left. She also brought over some more bedding during our stay. I highly recommend this place, just be aware that if you are a light sleeper, you might not enjoy staying here. Overall it was in the right location to get a taxi into Inuyama to interact with the locals, and then drive around in the mountains.
