Our family group had the best time celebrating our annual “Girls Weekend” at Ridgeway Retreat. As soon as we got inside we were blown away by how beautiful and spacious the main house is. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals, the sound system was a cool feature, and the huge windows were stunning! Not to mention the coach house, with its outstanding chef’s kitchen (that island is a beauty!) and expansive living space with games and bar. We were incredibly lucky with the weather for October, and had the pleasure of taking the short stroll to the beach to enjoy the beautiful Lake Huron sunsets. Melissa was extremely responsive to my question and even sent some useful “how to” videos for some of the trickier appliances. We would highly recommend Ridgeway Retreat to anyone looking to relax in style! Thanks for a memorable stay!

The place was very nice and great location

Perfect spot for a family holiday with my children and my 2-year-old granddaughter. The beach is a two-minute walk away which allowed us not to use the stroller. The house is comfortable, clean and offers all amenities. It was very pleasant.

This place was exactly what we needed for the night. It was clean, spacious, and in a good area. The parking on the property was also highly appreciated.

Bigger and even better looking in person, a beautiful stay. Tons of room and really well spaced out with a great floor plan. The pantry is huge so don't be afraid to stock up for your stay. The absolute only criticism we had was it being a little under furnished, no end tables in the bedroom or side tables / coffee table for all the living area stuff. Even in the winter we had tons of backyard fun with the hot tub. Location is great, easy access to tons of stuff in town within like 3-5 mins and super easy to get to. Had to buy some extra salt for the driveway, but it was paved and I only have all season tires so mostly a me problem, just be ready for a small hill in the parking. Great dishwasher, and huge trash container on property so clean up was a breeze. Loved our stay and wish we could've stayed much longer - will definitely come back if we ever come up again.

Mitchell Heights is a property with charm and character. It has been thoughtfully set up. They have pretty much all the amenities one might need in a home away from home. It worked very nicely for us as a large family reunion spot because each family had its own suite with washroom and kitchen. The deck and larger suite served as our common areas / hang out spots. Erie Rest beach is a short walk away (7-8 mins). Downtown Port Stanley - Main Beach, Little Beach, Port Stanley Terminal Rail, etc - is a short drive away. Having said that, Mitchell Heights is super quiet and calm compared to the relatively busy downtown area so it worked really nicely for us. Last but not the least, we must mention how the communication with the hosts was on point... most of all we appreciated their inputs and suggestions on places to eat and things to do in the area. Hope to be back at Mitchell Heights sooner than later!

FALL GETAWAY-Stayed Oct 18-20, 2024 with friends. The surroundings at this cottage in the fall are absolutely beautiful lots of fall colours and wildlife. There's a lovely beach just down the road we had great weather so it was nice to go for a walk, very peaceful not allot of people this time of year. We had dinner at Macphersons on Friday night which was very good and pizza the following night at Grogs which was also very good. Host Rebecca was wonderful, helpful, very worry free experience. Great cottage very clean had everything you would need to enjoy your stay. Fantastic getaway to unwind and enjoy the outdoors would highly recommend.

Awesome place to book, my gf and I ended up booking here for Labour Day, they had everything here where do you don’t need to bring anything but your clothes and food, fire starter bug spray, chairs, tables and wood was all there. Utensils plates cups coffee as well. Ended up having the best sleep as well/ woke up refreshed, maybe cause of the atmosphere but ended up being a great time very peaceful, Would definitely book again thanks!
