Such a perfect location and the house was so well equipped and set in a beautiful spot on the loch. John is a great host and kept us very well-informed from booking until we left. I would say arrive in daylight (particularly in shorter days) as it’s like a fairy story land with many different ways!

Bungalow in Lochgoilhead
4.93 out of 5 average rating, 123 reviewsBeautiful home on the banks of Loch Goil
We had a lovely stay, the house was beautiful and clean. Cosy and warm. The beds were very comfortable so we all slept well. The kitchen was well stocked. The location was great not too far from Glasgow but lovely scenery and the views from the house were amazing. Really nice cafe near by ('the boatshed'). Only thing i would say is bring a little mirror if youre wanting to speed up getting ready as only 1 of the bedrooms has one.

4.88 out of 5 average rating, 163 reviewsCaRHUvan- cosy and charming caravan with sea view.
Jackie's caravan is located in the backyard of her house, facing the sea, in the adorable village of Arisaig. It's a great experience to spend a few nights in this cute caravan with a comfortable queen bed. 2 very good restaurants right next door and a supermarket open until 9pm. We had dinner in the trailer one evening which is very well equipped. The shower & toilet, very clean, are located in a small building right next door. Jackie was waiting for us behind her window to welcome us (a few minutes walk from Arisaig train station, train ride from amazing Glasgow! Great views, Hogwarts Express viaduct, etc.) and was very helpful at the start to help us following the cancellation of our ferry. Thanks to her! I would recommend this place for an original experience in the pretty village of Arisaig, away from the mass tourism of Fort William & Mallaig.

A great location with fantastic views. The cabin is right on the loch and it was a joy to be able to walk down to the shore of a morning and admire the stunning landscape. Cabin clean and tidy, dog friendy. Amazing and relaxing, just a lovely location. Highly recommend.

Cottage in Ballachulish
4.86 out of 5 average rating, 180 reviewsThe Gardener’s Cottage with wood fired Hot Tub
Beautiful private cottage with lovely views , wood burning hot tub was a nice touch but didn’t bother with it on second night as it seemed a bit complicated to relight A few extra logs would be helpful when only there for a couple of nights

We had a very cosy and comfortable stay in Lisa's caravan. It was well equipped, clean and warm. We would definitely stay here again when visiting Glasgow. We had the best of both worlds, a beautiful view and landscape to explore plus an easy train into the city. It ticked all the boxes.

Island in Oban
4.96 out of 5 average rating, 176 reviewsPort Moluag House, Isle of Lismore
Derek’s place is one of the most stunning places we’ve ever been to. It is peaceful, serene, surrounded by beautiful interiors and incredible views outside. It was perfect for a wintery getaway around the fire while we watched the waves from the sofa, while reading a book and totally switching off. We wanted to live there. Easy to get to on the ferry and clear instructions for getting to the place. Very well equipped kitchen. Amazing sauna in the bathroom with a door directly out to the balcony if you want a bit of hot and cold treatment. Can do some great walks directly from the place. Island of lismore is beautiful with amazing views of the mountains on the mainland and on Mull. The aspect of the place is perfect for watching the sunrise from the sofa, or from bed via the amazing window in the bathroom. You can walk directly onto the private pebble beach for a better view of the loch and a quick dip. We can’t wait to be back.

4.95 out of 5 average rating, 110 reviewsShoreview Caravan
Had an amazing restful time at Eilidh and Donald’s caravan. Fresh eggs and waking up to the lapping of water in the morning was amazing. Fire pit no hassle, sat round it both nights with dinner/drinks. Jess the cat was so cute. Much better value than a lot of b&bs and ‘shepherds huts’ in the highlands as had hot shower, toilet and gas cooker/fridge which made everything really convenient and comfortable (especially after a night of camping beforehand!) Would 100% recommend! PS. Definitely pick up everything you need from fort William first as there aren’t any shops nearby.

I've just returned from a week on the Isle of Bute, where I stayed at Ettrick Cottage. The accommodation is fantastic and really high quality with great views across Ettrick Bay. The hosts were very helpful with their communication prior to arrival and were very discrete. It was a wonderful stay in well appointed accommodation.

4.95 out of 5 average rating, 58 reviewsThe House on Bute (Fircliff), sleeps 14, sea views
Fircliff was a fabulous place for our family get together. The house is very well equipped and worked brilliantly for our group of 11. There’s plenty of room for everyone to have their own space if needed and two nice rooms to meet up for meals and socialising. Everyone had a really great time and we wouldn’t hesitate to go there again. Many thanks to Lucy & Ed

We had a really lovely family holiday here. The house is light, spacious and well-equipped with everything guests might need. The location is just stunning, beautiful scenery and we loved being able to spend time at the lake every day. The weather wasn’t great when we visited but had it been a bit warmer the kids would’ve played in the lake quite happily and safely. It’s a beautiful area with loads to do. Val was a very friendly and helpful host.

4.96 out of 5 average rating, 270 reviewsThe Wee House
Hard not to repeat what everyone has said prior. The location was superb, and the view was amazing! The home was cozy and welcoming, and the little automatic fireplace added an additional sense of coziness and warmth. The only downsize was that there was only one place to eat in town-the Sea Salt Bistro. The Islay Inn was closed due to renovations so there was only the one place to eat in. I did not rent a car so did not have that to drive elsewhere. But I had a tour booked one day and just picked up food from the convenient co-op to eat at home one night. Enjoyed the 3-distillery path tour and looking out at the bay! Highly recommended.
