Vacation rentals with lake access in Kandy

Jon was a very gracious host, from enabling us to check in very early to being thoughtful enough to even leave a couple of beers in the fridge as a welcome drink! Danu and Prabha took care of us very well, made some excellent Sri Lankan food for our meals and tended to us with care. Vegas (the friendly dog) was a perfect companion during our stay and kept us entertained . Location is perfect , with scenic walks just around the corner. Thank you Jon for a lovely stay !

Place was perfect for a night because it was not far from the train! We could easily start in the morning. Gayan was very nice, expected us when we arrived and showed us everything. Thanks for the smooth process!

Lakmal’s house is in a quiet residential location away from the traffic noise of Kandy city. It is an easy 10 minute walk to the lake and the Temple of the Tooth. It is very convenient if you want to get to the Temple when the gates open at 5.30 as we did. The views from the balcony of the mountain and city are exactly as you see in the pictures. The air conditioning in the two bedrooms upstairs is very good. It is s short walk to a shop where you can buy supplies. Next door to the shop is Clay Pot restaurant where we had a great Sri Lankan breakfast and a very good dinner and it is inexpensive. There is also a rooftop restaurant and bar nearby with great views. Their curry basket is good and enough for 2 people. We went to the Kandy Dancing at YMBA and it was excellent, especially the fire walking. Overall, Lakmal’s place is a convenient, quiet location and excellent value for money.

Dilanthi is a Super host indeed !!! Olu Lodge is a lovely little place, located conveniently. The garden is beautiful and the place is nicely kept and very clean. Beds are comfortable. Dilanthi's food is delicious. She cooked lovely milk rice for us for breakfast and my son enjoyed it very much. Also both Dilanthi and Samantha spent a lot of their time chatting with us and we felt very comfortable with them. They are very kind, polite and understanding. I would certainly recommend her place to the future travellers. Thanks once again Dilanthi & Sam.

We had a splendid stay. It was located at a very convenient location with easily accessible most of the town places ,yet in a very peaceful location . Clean cozy apartment well equipped with all necassities to cook and relax.

Indra and his father are some of the nicest hosts you'll meet. I had many dishes that introduced me to Sri Lankan food as a result. The property is private, quiet (good for nomads, online work, remote work, etc), and in a very peaceful part of Wattegama where you can go for walks (waterfall not far off) and find local restaurants. With many more in not too far areas like Kandy City. The property is spacious as well and comfy. If you want a different taste of Sri Lanka without being in the most populous parts like Colombo (with more peace and quiet, etc) and good hosts you'll be in the right hands here. I'm glad I came and got to experience the culture.

Absolutely stunning villa in the mountains. The pictures cannot show how beautiful it is. The response from the host was immediate and extremely helpful. The caretaker was friendly, helpful and provided all our excellent meals. The place is AMAZING, I could happily live there. It has everything you could need and the most incredible views. Wonderful!!!
