Mothman’s Manor

RobertRating, 5 stars1 month ago
This was close to where I needed to go ( bowling tournament at towne and country lanes ). The place was very clean and everything as described on page. The bed was extremely comfortable and I slept well on all the nights I stayed there. The owners responded when I asked questions about the place. I really loved this place and would definitely stay there again if I’m in the area again. Many many thanks for a great stay at this manor manor!

15mi NRG~Fire pit~Game room~Creek~60ft Deck

RishiRating, 5 stars5 days ago
We stayed at Irene’s beautiful home over the long weekend and couldn’t have asked for a better experience! The house comfortably hosted our group of 7, and every corner of the property was thoughtfully maintained and inviting. The games room downstairs (pool table, air hockey, table tennis and many more) was a huge hit — packed with amenities and a great place to unwind together. The location itself is incredibly scenic, with a peaceful river flowing nearby and the occasional coal train passing behind the house adding a unique touch to the atmosphere. It was the perfect mix of tranquility and character. Whether you’re heading to New River Gorge or just want a serene getaway, this place is absolutely worth every penny. Highly recommended — Thank you, Irene!

The Hiding Place nr TC COLL. food NRG Falls hiking

AdamRating, 5 stars4 days ago
The property was cozy and as described. We visited for New River Gorge, and while Montgomery was a 40 minute drive from the Park, it was across nice country roads with views of the river and several water falls. Jim was a very helpful host, and he was very responsive for anything we needed. He was friendly and gave us recommendations on places to eat and hikes to do in the area.

Charming 2 Room Cabin Experience

CathyRating, 5 stars6 months ago
I absolutely loved staying at Cherie’s cabin. It’s well appointed, but my favorite thing about my stay was just how beautiful and peaceful it is. It was just so relaxing and you’ll probably have some pleasant wildlife sightings. It seems that there is a deer crossing just at the end of the driveway to the cabin as I saw two run across there just as I was arriving the first day. I also saw them crossing the following mornings. I was also surprised one morning by three tiny woodpeckers pecking at the outside of the cabin. You will also want to make sure to wake up early so to not miss the lovely sunrise from the comfort of your bed! I regret that I did not have the time to enjoy the wonderful fire pit area. It comes complete with all the firewood you would ever need! The cabin is also solar powered with more than enough power to keep things going, and there is an on-demand water heater. These things make this such a self-sustainable & environmentally friendly stay.

I had a fantastic 60-day stay at this Airbnb in Charleston, WV! The host was incredibly welcoming, providing clear communication. The space was spotless, cozy, and exactly as described—perfect for both work and relaxation. The location was ideal, with easy access to downtown. High-speed Wi-Fi and a comfortable workspace made remote work a breeze. Everything ran smoothly, and the host’s attentiveness made all the difference.
