Farm Weissbrunn - experience Namibian farming!

MariaRating, 5 stars1 day ago
We were received in a very friendly manner, everything was explained to us very well and we were immediately offered an evening ride across the farm, which we were very happy to accept. It was a great experience with a wonderful sunset. We had good conversations and got recommendations for visiting Etosha National Park and for restaurants and shopping in Kamanjab. We highly recommend the Weissbrunn Farm.
A peaceful night scene unfolds, showcasing a cottage-like structure glowing under a starry sky. The vast expanse of stars is visible, while the surrounding landscape remains dark, emphasizing the warm light emanating from the building's windows.

Eagles Nest Farm

Wow! We initially planned to drive from the Andersson Gate of Etosha to the Galton Gate but due to lots of rain and concern about the roads, we went another way to get to Willem and Edith's farm. Ultimately that "other way" took us on a 2-3 hour detour but it was WELL worth it!! Edith, Willem and their family are so lovely! They welcomed us to their farm, introduced us to their animals and made us feel right at home. Their farm is a homesteader's dream and was passed down through Willem's family. We stayed in their thatched roof loft and were treated to a gorgeous sunset and incredible hospitality. Edith sent us on our way with fresh honey and warm memories. Would love to cross paths with these lovely folks again :)

Orpheus Inn Aparment 1

Communication from our side wasn‘t easy due to lack of mobile reception on the roads. We arrived at night time under bad road conditions, afraid about causing inconvenience. Carina and Danny helped us staying relaxed, offering help in case we got stuck/ lost on the way. We want to express our appreciation for the attention given to our specific dietary preferences. We enjoyed every minute on the farm, especially these where Carina and Danny had the time to join us. We had great conversations in which we learned a lot about the country, the people and the life in Namibia. They also gave great advice on how to make the best out of our stay. We felt very welcome and wished we could have stayed longer. We will definitely come back! Thank you so much.
