Great stay! Very friendly and helpful host!

The property is a premium one, setup with well with amenities as mentioned in the listing. 2 beds are huge, with jacuzzi in the attached bathrooms and look premium. The 3rd bedroom is smaller with smaller bathroom but is well maintained. The property is det in well maintained private grounds with outdoor area for food and enough place for other fun activities. The caretaker was very accomodative and the complementary breakfast had limited options but tasty and fresh. Overall, a well maintained and beautiful property.

Had a lovely stay at this quaint house full of rare books, in middle of a gorgeous coffee estate with guided walks/treks inside the estate filled with raw, pristine natural beauty. A delight for book and nature lovers.

One day of peace away from the hustle and bustle of the city can do wonders for you. And that’s exactly what I experienced here. A sense of tranquility. Beautiful resort with plenty of space to walk about, beautiful pepper plantations all around and spacious rooms. And most importantly, one of the best Airbnb hosts I’ve ever met. Sanjay was so proactive, friendly, warm, kind, and gave some excellent suggestions for things to buy from Chikmagaluru. We even got some pepper from his own farm to carry back home. Food was delicious and SO REASONABLE, that my dad being an OG guy who doesn’t like to pay a penny more than needed, loved it. Safe to say that if I’m ever at Chikmagaluru, most often bike rides, I’ll stay only at Smarika. Hopefully next time I stay for slightly longer :)

The place is really beautiful. We booked it by looking at the pictures in the airbnb listing. But the place itself exceeds the expectations by far and looks like Rakshath has continuously worked on the place. Rakshath was extremely responsive to all the questions we had immediately after the reservation was done making it easier for us to confirm our stay. Once we reached there we felt right at home. Our party consisted of 9 adults and 3 children. Every single one of them enjoyed their stay here. Regarding food, the host was very accommodating of our requests and we had delicious breakfast and dinner ready on time during our stay. He was even kind enough to make some local suggestions for us to visit. We are definitely going to return to this place in the future. All the very best to Rakshath and his family. The homestay perfectly matched its description, with all the promised amenities in place. The host was incredibly responsive, always helpful, and made our stay comfortable. The surroundings were stunning, making it a serene getaway spot. It’s undoubtedly a great budget-friendly choice, especially for larger groups. The drive to the homestay was exceptional, offering breathtaking views as you ascend 13 km into the hilltop. However, given its remote location with no nearby cafes, having a kitchen for self-cooking is a great advantage. The host also offers a bonfire experience at an additional cost, which is highly recommended for a cozy evening. What stood out the most was the 24/7 availability of hot water in the cold weather—an absolute blessing! Overall, we loved our stay and would highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a peaceful, scenic retreat with excellent hospitality.

"A Tranquil Haven Surrounded by Nature's Bliss" I recently had the pleasure of staying at Mugilu with my wife and our furry companion. This hidden gem nestled in the Western Ghats proved to be an absolute paradise for nature enthusiasts and pet lovers alike. Mugilu, meaning "clouds" in Kannada, truly lives up to its name. The sprawling 10-acre plantation surrounded by meadows and plains offers a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. The lush greenery and open spaces create an idyllic setting that instantly puts you at ease. Our stay was elevated by the sheer joy Chiku experienced. The property's openness provided him with the freedom to run and play, making fast friends with resident dogs Chutki, Imli, and others. Watching him explore the forest and open areas was a heartwarming experience and something that's not easily achievable in a city setting. The warmth and hospitality of the hosts made our stay even more memorable. All the best to the Mugilu team.

Ganesh was very responsive, proactive and friendly host. Ashwini was amazing chef/manager.. Food was great.. requested her to reduce the spice level, and she immediately obliged and dinner and Lunch was very tasty... Kalyani was very helpful in attending to us whenever needed. Overall great stay
