Lovely, spacious designer home right by the sea. Someone has invested significant coin into this house at some point - you can almost control each light fitting independently if you have the patience!! Great new kayaks to use (with life jackets) and a well equipped kitchen, with two (or even three) fridges available!

Brenda’s place is right on the beach, clean, well appointed and comfortable. Highly recommended.

The Mārahau bach is beautifully situated with an outlook across the estuary and a side view to the ocean. Huge decks enhance this. The house is older but well equipped. We stayed early autumn and it was warm and dry. Easy to walk to local cafes and restaurants, as well as accessible walks and other local attractions.

Wow, what a special holiday house… breath taking views and conveniently located near shops, beach and boat ramp.

Kim's apartment was very spacious, comfortable and well equipped. We really enjoyed sitting in the conservatory looking out at the amazing view of the ocean. I'd highly recommend this Airbnb.

We stayed here on the way to the Heaphy Track. A great place to stay if you’re a large group needing somewhere to rest and recharge. The beach is very close and so is Takaka and other cafes. The batch was very clean and tidy, the beds were super comfortable and we loved the view from the lounge. The two bathrooms were great. The road is behind the batch so there is a little bit of road noise, and the neighbouring batches were closer than we expected from the pictures. The host was amazing, responsive, flexible and helpful, especially as I left a box behind and came and collected a few days later.

The cottage is delightful, super clean and comfortable with lovely view and fresh decor. Worth noting a lot of steps /incline to the property for anyone slightly less mobile with luggage but very usual for hillside property. Great wee spot and a real home from home with everything you need for a great stay. The owners were unbelievably accomodating over confusion on our booking and great cleaners via the property who sorted our stuff left behind. A memorable stay in many ways!

We haven’t been to Nelson for possibly 30 years - this will be our go to place now for Nelson-and we are very keen to come back now after staying here. Thank you for a wonderful stay- also the security, views, sunsets,and excellent introduction to the place with Rob was exceptional.

Great 1950s style beach bach. Stunning location. The perfect place for a winter or summer family holiday. Loved the spacious living areas indoors and outdoors - it easily accommodated youngsters playing, to parents and grandparents relaxing, altogether. Lots of games and books for all ages. We loved using the kayaks on the inlet.

We had a wonderful stay at this magical spot in Elaine Bay. Stunning views, comfy home, well appointed kitchen... We had a great time exploring and the kids loved being able to hop in and out of the pool many times a day. Such a special place, thanks for sharing this piece of paradise with us!

Sally and Wayne were fantastic hosts. After a long travel day, we enjoyed having a glass of wine with them on their deck when we arrived. Their home and views of the water were truly lovely, and the stargazing on a clear night from the hot tub was hard to beat. Their location is perfect for a short walk along the water to the Mapua Wharf for dinner. We really appreciated Sally making us an early breakfast before we headed to Abel Tasman. Our only regret was not booking a second night with Sally and Wayne!

This sweet location is exceeded only by the host’s sincere hospitality. Like any cabin or bach, it’s a little rough around the edges but that’s what makes it so nice, casual, and relaxing. I only wish I had more than a few days to spend there.

We recommend visiting Awaroa and staying a few nights. We had two full days, one to explore on foot and the other in a double kayak.

We had a thoroughly enjoyable stay at Graeme’s bach which was very clean and well equipped with a great living area & deck to enjoy the view. The fishing was great & we enjoyed the easy walk to Furneaux Lodge for coffee.

What a gorgeous place this is! It’s got such a lot of welcoming charm that makes you feel at home straight away. Helen had also put up a Christmas tree and put lovely decorations around the house. Thank you for going the extra mile and making it all so special! Ooh and great oven to cook Christmas dinner in!!

Kim’s place is a gem. Conveniently located for all Māpua has to offer, it is a very short walk to the sea. Bikes, a canoe and a paddle board were available for our use and when we told Kim we were a party of four adults, she brought round two additional bikes. Kim kept in touch before and during our stay to ensure we had all we needed. The house is modern, well furnished and impeccably clean. Definitely on our list for a return visit. We stayed 1 night at Kim’s beautiful apartment after our ferry over from the North Island. The apartment was very clean, well stocked and the views were amazing!! Would stay again!

We loved our stay in Mapua and the house was perfect for our 9 person family. The kitchen was very well equipped and having a BBQ was awesome. The outside furniture and garden were lovely. So happy we found this home and Mapua!
