A neat apartment with a private sauna right in Ruka village. 2 minute walk to the gondola and chairlift, with a range of different kinds of ski slopes available easily, and a ski storage and tuning area is available in the building. Very good range of restaurants in a 5 minute walk. The host is also proactive in their communication.

Lovely and atmospheric cottage! The stay exceeded our expectations. Peaceful location, well maintained property driveways. Elevator tickets are a really valuable addition. The host was hospitable, friendly, and flexible, communication was effortless. We highly recommend.

What a lovely stay we had here! The log cabin itself is stunning and beautifully furnished - super cosy! We stayed here in midwinter so we were surrounded by a gorgeous winter wonderland. Excellent location, set back from the road but very close to supermarket and places to organise your outdoor adventures. Very close to Ruka ski resort. Rami’s communication with us was brilliant, we didn’t need to ask him anything as everything was covered.

We had a wonderful stay at Villa Saarua by the Slopes. Ruka is a perfect family holiday destination for easy skiing and lots of snow activities. The restaurants in the area are fantastic. The children's ski and play area is incredible, with great instructors, indoor and outdoor play spaces. If you're considering a Ruka holiday--do it! Villa Saarua is in a quintessential log-cabin neighborhood. It's a dream to stroll around, with each cabin graced with snow. The cabin itself is cozy and well appointed. Beautiful log fireplace with plenty of wood, lovely sauna, nicely outfitted kitchen. Two private bedrooms, one with a large bed, the other bunks. Then up the ladder, which is open to the main living space, is perfect for small children. The location is very nice. It's about a 5-10 min walk to Vuosseli. There are several small paths between the cabins, down to the road, and then across the street. It's then another 5 min walk to the Family Park and more restaurants. We recommend it!

Staying at Kiekerönmaa was absolutely amazing, not only due to the accomodation itself and the nature but also thanks to Hans who was the best host. In the beginning we struggled with locking the doors but after Hans explained it to us we got used to it and everything went perfectly fine. The second thing that took some time getting used to (mainly due to the low temperatures) was having to step outside to get to the toilet (as specified in the description of Kiekerönmaa). Other than that Kiekerönmaa didn't only fullfil our expectations but went far beyond that and seeing the aurora borealis standing on the shore of the lake in front of it led to our vacation being truly magical.☺️🌌

Marja and her husband are so friendly and nice to me. Feel so warm even in such cold weather days. The surrounding is beautiful and quiet. Every morning we enjoyed our breakfast watching lovely birds and squirrels having theirs on the tree. What a wonderful time. Highly recommended!

It was a beautiful apartment, it was clean and well maintained. The kitchen was very well equipped and there was everything you needed. Communication with Janina was straightforward and quick, questions were answered immediately. We are very satisfied with our stay.

We had an amazing stay! The property was impeccably clean and well-maintained. The location couldn’t have been better, 5 minutes from the Ruka Ski Station, making it incredibly convenient. I highly recommend this place without hesitation!

We were very comfortable for a week, Tania was very helpful, loving, kind, she welcomed us and explained everything to us in detail, she helped us with everything we needed. The house is very clean, very well equipped with everything, the location is very good, we will definitely return.

A wonderful place to stay for a relaxing holiday. The location is very nice quiet and private. Nevertheless, you can quickly get to Kuusamo or Ruka. The house was very clean and well appointed. We will be happy to come back and can only recommend the house

This place really made our trip very special and Janne and Eini were the kindest hosts I have had at an AirBNB. It was wonderful that they included ski passes; it saved us on private ski lessons, rental equipment, and let us use all the lifts and the gondola to get to the top of the slopes or even just to the new Base Heat and Eat. It was a great location that wasn’t too far from local restaurants but secluded enough to not be in the crowded areas. Having the sauna and fireplace and beautiful house was great to unwind from jet lag of our first couple days or fun filled activities later in the week. We saw the Auroras/Northern Lights twice from the house. Once faintly while we were in the jacuzzi and once from the from yard, completely bright and stretched across the sky. It was truly an unforgettable stay.
