The perfect spot for my getaway. If you don't mind the very steep, long incline to and from town, it is completely walkable to the main drag in Jim Thorpe. The place is perched up on the hill with a great view of the town in the valley below. The soaking Jacuzzi tub is a great reward after strolling around the town. Thank you for a relaxing stay!

I was looking for a place that felt like home and this was exactly it. It was so spacious and honestly had everything I needed. I think the bathroom was definitely my fave area in the house; it was beautifully lit and nicely remodeled. Bernard was so easy to contact and would resolve any issues I had immediately. I definitely highly recommend!

If you're looking for a roomy, quiet, and very comfortable place to stay, this is the place. You'll have an entire ground floor of a two-story home all to yourself in a friendly town. Fiona made sure I had everything I needed in the kitchen: appliances, pans, utensils, hot pads, coffee makers, etc. If you want to cook, there is a great grocery store just down the street with everything you'll need. The bathroom was exceptional, with body wash and shampoo provided. The bedroom was large as well, with plenty of storage for clothing. The bed was comfortable as well, with extra blankets if needed. Entry was a breeze, using either the front or back door, and a dedicated parking space right behind the house, which is literally one block from downtown restaurants, coffee shops, the bookstore, and other amazing shopping opportunities. There's a post office nearby, which makes it easy to mail things home rather than try to squeeze them into your luggage. I'd loved it and would recommend it!

We came to the area to visit family and Armando's place was perfect! Right in the center of the valley so it was easy to get around by car, quiet neighborhood with a restaurant and ice cream shop within walking distance, and a big parking spot for our huge sprinter van. The apartment was clean and had everything we needed for a quick trip to the area and we will be staying here again! Thank you Armando for being so lovely and responsive.

This is the second time I stayed at this property. Micheal and Sara are excellent hosts with great recommendations and extremely friendly. They give you a ton of privacy. By far my favorite place I have ever experienced on Airbnb. Great fishing just outside your door, beautiful lake surrounded by mountains. I am looking forward to my next stay!

Had a lovely stay at Joe's Place. Priced great for it being 10 min drive from Jim Thorpe town. Very clean had all the appliance and amenities needed. A little noisy at night with the busy street and church bells (bring ear plugs if you are alight sleeper). Had an easy time getting into the apartment and was very cozy and warm.

Amazing location and value. Yes, it’s very simple/no frills but offers everything you need at a good price for an entire unit. There aren’t a lot of decorations but we didn’t mind as everything was comfortable. Bathroom is very nice. Everything was very clean and John was super responsive to all our needs. Would highly recommend for someone that wants a nice, simple place to stay for less than $70 a night! Unit itself is a 5 min drive from downtown and is in a residential area. Plenty of parking on street. 1 block away from Zummo’s cafe and near Cooper’s Seafood House

Marshall and Elizabeth were an amazing host couple! Super friendly and accommodating. The space itself is probably one of the coziest AirBNBs I’ve stayed in. Has that homey vintage feel which is always important even for a visit and a great view from the back balcony. Would definitely suggest it for long or short term stay. As far as the area, It’s in a quiet residential area, but just a few minutes drive to downtown Scranton and a number of cute restaurants and other spots. There is also a nice park was in walking distance that we went to numerous times during our long term stay.

We had such a lovely weekend staying in Jill's guest suite. She was a wonderful host—kind, communicative, and proactive. We received detailed instructions for check-in and great recommendations for things to do in the area. The place was exactly as described and had many thoughtful touches. We particularly loved the cozy sitting area. There was also an incoming winter storm the day that we checked out. Jill reached out to make sure we knew about the weather and wished us safe travels. We would absolutely book again!

If you are a couple or a solo traveler looking for a beautiful, spacious place to stay in the Wilkes Barre area, look no further. This apartment is gorgeous. There is not a thing I would change . . . from the warm and welcoming mud room porch, to the sun-lit beautifully decorated interior. The bedroom was large and the king size bed/mattress was very comfortable. We chose to dine at local restaurants, but if one would like to prepare a home-cooked meal, the kitchen is very well-appointed with a full-sized refrigerator and large oven, plenty of various-sized pots and pans as well as plentiful utensils and small appliances. We would love to return in the summer months to take advantage of the front porch for our morning coffee or some wine in the evening. This apartment is truly top-notch which is why this listing has a five star rating. Thank you for your gracious hospitality, Brad!

My boyfriend and I stayed at Marina’s cozy apartment for the weekend while we visited Blue Mountain ski resort. The apartment was beautiful, cozy, and very clean. Marina was kind, responsive, and helpful. We loved the decor and were so happy we chose to spend our weekend at Marina’s apartment. I highly recommend Marina’s place and would love to visit again in the future!

Laura’s place was lovely. Parking is tough in JT so it’s nice to have a dedicated space regardless of walking distance, and it’s a good spot where you’re close to the main section but not in the midst of the crowds.

Dee was a great host. She explained everything very clearly. Made great suggestions on places to eat. Her home was clean and cozy. Prefect for a couple at any age. Would definitely consider staying there again if we are in the area.

The place is good and comfortable. The host is nice and approachable. I felt happy to stay here with Nina when I was in Scranton.

The place was perfect for family of 3 with a 10 year old. The train does come through regularly, as she mentions, but we are used to it, as we have a similar situation at our home. Very nice stay in a cozy home after skiing and playing on the nearby Bear Creek which was short drive away. We would stay there again!
