Vacation rentals in Izu Islands

We spent the October long weekend at Hiroko’s house and it was absolutely perfect. We had lovely weather to enjoy nightly barbecues on the beautiful balcony, perfect for enjoying the amazing view over the coast. The house is really conveniently located to so many beaches (we enjoyed Irita and Kisami the most) as well as to central Shimoda town and plenty of ammenities. It was great to have the outdoor shower and the beautiful modern shower and spa room after a day at the beach. The house is at the top of a very, very steep hill but we had no problems accessing it, however we chose to only drive to the beach as it would have been too steep for our kids to walk back home. Hiroko gave clear instructions of how to find the house which was very helpful.

It was helpful to get back to me right away. The room was clean and I had a comfortable stay even for a large group.

We had a wonderful stay at Jun’s beautiful maze of treetop villas! It is very clear that Jun and family put their heart into creating a relaxing and magical experience for the guests. We will come back for sure!

We stayed at Billy's over the Sept long weekend.We were a group of 6 & in Japan its still a struggle to find places that allows dogs. It was really close to our favourite beach, which is within walkable distance.The place is nicely furnished and was very comfortable to stay.Our group loves a bit of vino and were thoroughly impressed by the selection of glassware at Billy's place.The kitchen is fully equipped,so we had breakfast at home every day before heading to the beach.There is a kettle BBQ but unfortunately we couldnt use it as the grill was a bit rusty.Luckily we had brought our portable BBQ so we were able to thoroughly enjoy the deck.The bluetooth speaker made our BBQ even more enjoyable.The beds and linens were clean and are of good quality, so we were able to get a good night sleep. Since we were coming from tokyo, Billy was kind enough to offer friday night for a discount.This avoided a painful traffic filled drive on Sat morning. Also, he gave us late checkout on Monday.

great place to stay. we had a great time and enjoyed BBQs on the porch. ideally located in town and close to many local beaches.

Our 2nd time at John's beautiful Shimoda home! Still easily the best AirBnB I've stayed in Japan--and I've spent months traveling the country. Ample room for the 8 of us and everything is comfortable. Just do yourself a favor and book it!

We totally recommend booking this place! The view of the sea is beyond beautiful!

We were very polite throughout the day.We stayed for 2 nights and 3 days with 5 adults, 5 children, and the size of the house was perfect.The view from the upstairs terrace was also amazing.Each room was also beautiful, and we had everything we needed, such as a washer, dryer, and rice cooker, so we had a comfortable stay. The only thing I dared to mention was that the sound of the wooden bed was loudly disturbing my sleep.There were few dishes, especially just the right size plates (I bought additional paper plates at the supermarket).I thought the BBQ stove on the terrace was like a weber gas stove, but it was actually a manpower using charcoal, so it was quite troublesome to start a fire. But overall, we are more than satisfied with the price, and we'd love to stay again if we get the chance.Thank you very much.
