Joanna's house was perfect for our stay in Hokitika, the house had beautiful scenery and was exactly as described, the beds were comfortable, and the living spaces were spacious. Joanna's food recommendations were great especially Hokitika sandwich shop

Sharyn’s place was great! Located right on her farm with views of the chickens and sheep was great! The place is clean and nice-looks like the pictures! Would stay here again.

Cute cottage adjacent to the river and handy to the cafes and shops. Not what you would call 'high end' but all the basics are there... very clean and tidy. There were signs a new interior paint job will be under way soon which I'm sure will freshen things up. All in all, a cozy sunny spot though the kids did miss the fact there was no TV :). The leafy private yard was nice place to sit with a book and a cuppa. Janet was lovely to deal with... overall great value. Recommended. Neville

We booked the Ugly Duckling late in our planning, to fill in a gap when our accommodation choices in other towns weren’t available, and to break up the journey between Christchurch and Nelson. Turned out to be a real highlight of our trip, and would love to visit again. As other reviews said - comfy, homey, well equipped, and spacious enough when the rain kept us inside. Kids were entertained by the toys, games, and garden.

Felt very comfortable in this house and loved every minute. We had 4 adults and 2 children and it was the perfect size - could have had more! Had all the things you need to cook and clean and be comfy. View over the water is fab and it's an easy walk to the rocks, pub and river.

We loved our stay here and look forward to staying again in the future! The property was very neat and tidy upon arrival, the kitchen was a pleasure to cook in, and Castle Hill Village is a very peaceful place to stay. The hosts Amy and Paul were incredibly accommodating of my numerous guest number changes (sorry about that!) and overall very communicative and helpful. One of my favorite AirBnB experiences so far. Highly recommend staying here.

We had an amazing Matariki weekend here. Such a peaceful location and a real unique wee space! We loved hearing the waves so close by and even a Kiwi outside! The space had everything we needed and modern facilities. Staff were super friendly and helpful. We would love to visit again, thank you :)

Carol's place has almost everything we needed. WiFi, TV, complete kitchen utensils for cooking, fridge and chiller for food storage, nice comfy big beds for each rooms, complete bathroom sets, liquid or solid bath soaps, shampoo and conditioners. Clothes iron, vacuum cleaner. parking space. Suggested Hokitika activities and restaurants. Name it! It's all in the house except the laundry. I reckoned Carol and her behalf are well experienced AirBnB hosts and it's really worth the money renting their house. Personally, what I like is their flexibility with our check out as we needed to go to Sunday church. Thanks Carol and your behalf for a very satisfying stay at your place.

Beautiful place overlooking the water. Just as described with a private porch and garden. Would have liked to stay longer!

Super suite right next to Paparoa. I loved being on the top floor, surrounded by palm trees, birdsong, and the sound of the ocean. It is possible to do an inspired hiking loop without driving by walking down to Paparoa track, cutting south in the inland track, and circling back to the cottage. This will take you past the caverns, pancake rocks, and some of the best hiking around. I felt the suite was very cozy and had a warm feeling.

Nice and comfortable spot for the three of us to stay in for a couple of nights on our road trip. Location was great, across from beach and 10 minute walk into town.
