Family-friendly vacation rentals in IJhorst

Very nice stay in a quiet area. The kitchen was well equipped and for an agreed additional payment we could use the hot tub next to the cottage. Communication with the host was good and his instructions were extensive and clear.

A wonderful place, with a lot of privacy, in a beautiful environment. The cottage is very fully furnished. Also ideal if you have a dog, due to the fully enclosed garden. A car or bike is useful because shops are a couple of miles away. Nearby you can go hiking (e.g. at the Meeuwenplas) in particularly beautiful nature. Stephan is a friendly and welcoming host. All in all, it definitely makes a place you want to go back to.

We (4 people) had a lovely stay in the fantastically cozy farmhouse. Aljanneke welcomed us most friendly and welcoming. After a short reception and a few homely instructions, the entire farm was completely at our disposal. And we enjoyed the peace, the house, each other, the surroundings, the welcome gift (apple juice, jam and special beers) and all the tips from Aljanneke. We have already booked another weekend in 2025 and will stick an extra day to it this time. We're already very much looking forward to that! In one word, fantastic!

Lovely stay with my girlfriend in this house. A very nice atmosphere and beautiful area. The hot tub is a bit of an art to warm up. You have to stir and stir and burn and burn and after hours you finally get it warm. That cost us a lot of boiler work, but if you read the manual in advance, you save time with it.

Fareen's place is truly a gem that you can be lucky to come across. The cabin is located in a park, with multiple other cabins in the area, but still very private and secluded. The view and calmness of the area, combined with the crackling music of the vinyl player (with the enormous vinyl collection) and the warmth of the fire place in the middle of the room, make Fareen's place unique. We will definitely be returning in the future!!

A lovely place with plenty of space to enjoy. The hot tub and pool are really added value. We enjoyed ourselves every second.

We greatly enjoyed the tranquility and space. Joop and Thea were very friendly and we were explained everything neatly, complete with tour. We are grateful that we were allowed to be here for 3 days.

We had a really great time at Hari's & Saskia's place. Beautiful house, with a lot of space, a big meeting room for our team outing, and many features. We really enjoyed cooking in the spacious kitchen, using the hot tub, the fireplace and the great surroundings in a very peaceful area of the Netherlands! We absolutely loved the place and Hari and Saskia were always there to answer questions and recommend what to do around the area!

I had an incredible stay at Marian's place! What truly made my mornings special, was the amazing breakfast—fresh, delicious with local products and served with genuine warmth. Marian's attention to detail and hospitality truly enhanced my trip. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a comfortable stay in the area!

The calmest and coziest little getaway cottage you could find! We had such an incredible time in Annedoor's sweet house. There is a designated parking spot that could fit our van, we were greeted to a lovely and warm house on an extremely cold January weekend (the two stoves are perhaps the centerpiece of the house - so warm and easy to manage. My boyfriend wanted to build a fire, I was happy to use the more modern stove). The house is perfect - there is so much space, all the amenities you could possibly need. We enjoyed a great selection of CDs and records with a lovely sound system. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you could possibly need - we made some fresh pasta and pancakes (there's even stroop provided!). Full collection of games to play, books to read if you forgot them. The house was absolutely spotless, there's some lovely national parks closeby and there are two supermarkets only a 5 min drive away. Highly recommend. Thanks Annedoor :)

Excellent stay at Trienie's: small, but comfortable, clean and very well equipped. Quiet, in a pleasant setting (nature, garden with nice Chevêche, you can hear them at night) and next to Putten. Our dogs enjoyed the small fenced garden too. Trienie is always there for advice, but perfectly respects the privacy of its tenants. The heating (gas) was working well.

What a pleasant stay we have had. Bertina is a very friendly host who communicates clearly and quickly. Breakfast was delicious! Extremely good value for money! Beautiful surroundings too! We'd love to come back (longer)!

We spent 4 days in the cottage of Betsie and Guus. We were warmly welcomed by Guus. The area is wonderfully quiet and the cottage is all the comforts. We thank Betsie and Guus for their hospitality and will definitely come back!

We loved being able to walk out the door and have our little one get to roam around the property being in the “woods” listening to birds, jumping on the trampoline and swinging on the swing, putting her hands in the leaves and touching moss…and then going back inside to such a cosy little wooden cabin with books and toys and a nice kitchen to cook in! It was a great place to stay, very comfortable and clean.

We used Ciska's lovely house for a few days as a writing stay. With three colleagues, each with its own room, it was a perfect house for it! Between work we walked a round about the heath, out of the window we saw the birds busy, and in the evening we cooked in the extensively equipped kitchen or ate in one of the restaurants within walking distance. It was a cozy place for a rainy day, but also in summer the house and the area have everything you could wish for!

Perfect week with friends in quiet comfortable home. The beds were REALLY comfortable, home temperature was perfect, living room cozy. Really nice place for dogs 🐶

We had a very nice stay at Henk & Trea's place. The place had everything we needed for a relaxing few days and was just right for a break from the hustle and bustle of the city. The surroundings are very beautiful and thanks to the private terrace overlooking nature all around, it was easy to start the day in the morning and watch deer with luck. The chalet is really very lovingly decorated and cozy. That's why it wasn't bad that we weren't lucky with the weather. Henk was very accommodating, helpful, and always available. All in all we had a very nice holiday and definitely recommend the place! Thank you for everything :)

Had a wonderful weekend in Ria's cottage - Cottage spacious & equipped with everything we needed; nice garden where you can sit in the sun (but also shade), hotel reception & restaurant close by if you want to have a drink or eat out, beautiful surroundings. Ria extremely helpful through the app. Hotel reception very flexible and nice. In short: very nice place!

B&B de Heidehoeve was a great place to stay for a long weekend. Unfortunately, our whole family got sick (flu) and we were able to enjoy it less than we hoped. It's really an amazing place! Horses, sheep, rabbits, a nice playground for the kids. We'd love to come back.

It's a really nice place to get away from it all. The cottage has lived, but is comfortable. We didn't miss a thing.

This is the second time I have stayed in Mara's forest cottage and it was very nice again! Would recommend this to absolutely anyone. Within walking distance you can walk through beautiful nature to relax and the cottage is very cozy with nice lights, a record player, books and games. Mara is very easy to communicate with and the cottage was very very clean. We felt completely at home!

Really a nice and cozy stay with a lovely view on garden and nature. You can walk onto the heath in no time. Everything that is needed is also present in the garden everything perfect. The outdoor kitchen can also be used with rain due to the spacious canopy. Friendly hostess who also responds quickly to the app.

Very nice and cute little house with a beautiful garden that really gives the feeling that you are in the woods. Very nice forests in the surrounding area too and it was very easy to walk directly into the woods from the house. Perfect for a peaceful and relaxing vacation :)

Totally loving family-run accommodation. The tiny house was the perfect rest after a busy week. The kids had fun in the playground and we could relax and enjoy the view of nature.
