Riverside Getaway

Great spot if you want to stay just outside of Wanaka. The space is cozy and comfortable. We didn’t make use of the bikes as we should have, we didn’t know just how amazing the local trail loop is until we stayed in Wānaka a few days later and rented bikes (the trail is especially beautiful as you come around lake wanaka), so be sure to take advantage of doing the loop with the bikes while staying here. Jill was very kind and offered eggs from her coop as well as tomatoes from her garden, both very delicious. Highly recommend doing the river jet boat w/the company that is 45 minutes away (spectacular views on the way there) Jill can provide the co name. I’d recommend also seeing the “blue pools” that are close to the jet boat tour.

Cromwell Sunshine Cottage

A lovely clean comfortable home well located in town within easy walking distance to the town centre and the Heritage park. Juliette and Donna made us feel very welcome on arrival and we enjoyed our stay very much. Whilst we only had 2 nights on this trip, we will definitely come back to stay again with more time to explore the attractions around Cromwell. Highly recommended.

Terrace Farm

IndigoRating, 5 stars5 days ago
My mum and I stayed for 3 nights in this peaceful setting. Carolyn is lovely and greeted us on arrival to give us the rundown / a little tour. Beds were clean and comfortable. We enjoyed walking the grounds to see all the animals, the big long claw foot bath and sitting by the fire at night. A few notes - it’s a beautiful old historic house so not overly soundproof (we had 0 issues but just an fyi if you’re travelling in a group), there’s no wifi and limited reception (outside is ok) and has kettle/microwave facilities only so best to get meals in town which is only 5 mins drive. Very peaceful would recommend!
