What an absolutely lovely cottage! It was so close to everything. We walked almost everywhere we went in just a couple blocks. Amanda's cottage is cozy, welcoming and has a wonderful backyard swing and screened porch. Everyone we came across in town were so nice and helpful as well. We will definitely be back to stay at this gem again and again! 😊

We were very pleased with the kitchen, as we cooked most of our meals. The balcony was nice. Up stairs had a wonderful view. Great selection of tv channels. Watched lots of movies. Shower head needs to be adjustable. Had a good time watching the Turkey Trot and the flotilla with out being in the cold. Only met Bob and he was nice and pleasant. You won’t be disappointed if you choose their place. Thanks for allowing us to have a wonderful Thanksgiving.

Quaint Cottage with Spectacular Views

I was so grateful to have a time of respite with my 81 yr old mother there over Easter break. The space is lovely and there was almost no one there on the island during that time so it was quiet and peaceful! Mikey was super open to helping me troubleshoot a few needs and I appreciated his thoughtfulness:) 2 notes to future guests: 1) The path to the beach is not well marked and there's a sign that says "Private" - we had to walk around and find someone to ask. and, while it might be a 0.2 mile walk, that distance (for us, anyway) was through deep sand - pretty tough for an 81 yr old. 2) The beach is not a regular coastal beach - it's in a sound so it's much more like a lake with no waves. Also, if the wind is right, the water could be pushed so far out it would be difficult to actually swim. We didn't care a whit but I can see how a family arriving with boogie boards and older kiddos might be disappointed.

We loved our stay at Camelot! The house was very comfortable for 6 adult women, with plenty of bathrooms/showers/beds. Having to bring our own linen was a bit inconvenient, but Roger the on-island connect was very responsive. The house itself is gorgeous with comfortable and spacious rooms. The porches are simply divine, though the views from the porches are less than scenic. The lot behind the house is either a dump or a construction site. However, the screened in porch was still incredibly delightful and we loved our little island escape. Would definitely stay again!

This place was absolutely perfect. When we arrived everything was so clean and looked so nice. It was great for our a little vacation especially with it being just two of us. We would highly recommend staying here and the location is perfect.

Tony and Jeanne were wonderful, responsive hosts and their house was perfect! It was beautifully decorated, with comfortable furniture and an amazingly well stocked kitchen! The view from the back porch across the water was so peaceful. Check in was easy and the location was just right. We visited the area to see the swans and snow geese as they gather in their wintering location and were treated to quite a display! Thousands of birds at Lake Mattamuskeet and Pungo Lake! We would love to come again and stay in this house, in warmer weather or cold! Well worth the trip! Thank you Tony and Jeanne!

Cedar Island cottage, short walk to beach

Great location for a slow, beach getaway with my family. We especially enjoyed the lovely, breezy porch and the beautiful, wooded location. Walking to the beach and to the ferry was easy. We appreciated all the extra amenities: beach chairs, puzzles and kitchen equipment. We would probably pack more water for drinking next time, but the little store had everything we needed. The drive onto the island, while truly stunning in many places, reminded us that our country is deeply divided and it will be a relief when the election is over.

We just spent the weekend here. Place is perfect for a relaxing stay. The house is super nice, clean and perfectly furnished. The hot tub is lush, awesome to relax and watch the stars ! Minimal light pollution. We took the kayaks out which we loved. Lots of places to explore! Overall an awesome place to stay. Would definitely stay again. Thank you to the hosts !

Given the snow and abnormally cold weather conditions rarely experienced in the area Jeff and Sue provided amenities normally not needed. For example, they provided a space heater to add more comfort to the lovely tiny home. This was perhaps the best equipped kitchen we have experienced in an Airbnb. It was as if they were going to live and cook in the kitchen themselves. Small touches like a meat thermometer and a crockpot were unexpected but appreciated. Everything in the home felt new and well cared for. The cleanliness of the entire cozy tiny home was exceptional. Kudos to our gracious hosts.

Well where do I start. First let me say it was everything and then some. The great outdoors was so much fun and adventurous. The stay was very comfortable. The location was all of that. It was right on the river. Riz even let us take his boat out on the river. Which turned out to be a great adventure in its self. Saw dolphins while we were on the water. I highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a peaceful getaway and have love for the outdoors. We will definitely be returning. If your looking for views, serenity, or an adventure this is the place 10/10 WILL DEFINITELY DO AGAIN!!!

Andrea’s place was gorgeous and perfect for our trip. The views are beautiful—it exceeded our expectations from the photos! The windows are big and overlook the harbor. The location is also great and a short walk to most restaurants and shops. We would definitely consider returning!

Jasmin and Margarita were great hosts! The location was awesome and so close to restaurants and shops. We used their golf cart to get around the island and our kids loved it! We had an issue getting the wifi to work but Jasmin and Margarita worked quickly to resolve it. They were extremely kind and attentive. The little home was very cute, clean, and such a fun stay! Highly reccommend!
