Vacation rentals with a patio in Hvalfjörður

I stayed at this apartment for a month during a work trip to Reykjavik. I was staying with a colleague and his wife, and the space worked well for 3 adults. The apartment was clean and well-furnished, and the location is perfect. You are right downtown and can walk to anything in Reykjavik, or just enjoy the views and people-watching from the big glass lounge area. Francisco was a great host; he was very responsive to questions and quickly addressed a few small maintenance items that came up. Parking is not included, but we never had any difficulty finding street/garage parking within a short walking distance. I would absolutely stay here again on a future trip to Iceland.

It was a real joy staying in Ludvik's guest house. It was quite spacious for its size and all amenities were provided in abundance. It felt right at home and is an ideal place to stay before flying out of Iceland. It has our highest recommendation!

Helga was extremely responsive and the information she shared was incredibly helpful! She made sure everything was set for our 11 month old and provided great recommendations. One of our group had a later flight and she was super flexible with a later flexible time. Would highly recommend staying here.

My family and I (5 adults) had a great stay there. Hjalmar and his wife greeted us when we arrived at the house. He was very responsive and flexible with our check-in. The place was clean and comfortable. It had everything. We would stay there again. Highly recommend!

We absolutely loved our stay at Brynja’s. She was incredibly helpful, and her place was everything and more! It was spacious, allowed us to have cooked meals, and was such a short drive to downtown. Brynja met us there, showed us around, shared her favorite candies with us, and checked in throughout our trip. We’ve already told her we can’t wait to come back. The highlight was the indoor patio which let us listen to the rain/snow drizzle outside when winding down for the night. Thank you for an unforgettable stay and for sharing your home with us.

This is one the nicest Airbnb’s I’ve ever stayed in! It’s beautifully decorated, modern and clean with a fully equipped kitchen and supplies. We stayed for almost 4 weeks and never ran out of things to do. Bus travel to downtown is easy and the mall is walking distance. Yndisauki restaurant is literally 2 doors down and very good. We had planned to rent a car but didn’t need to. The host was very helpful and responsive. 5-stars!!

Gísli's place was perfect! Clean, well equipped, comfortable, centrally located with a gorgeous view of Hallgrímskirkja. Cute deck, from which we were lucky enough to see the northern lights. it was a short walk to most of the places we wanted to see and there are great restaurant and café options close by. Gísli was communicative and helpful every step of the way! I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Home was warm and welcoming and Tara and Oskar were responsive and kind hosts.

Lilja was easy to communicate with and the home is lovely with great water pressure and a very modern kitchen. We enjoyed using the grill and ate outside on the deck. Walking to Laugardalslaug was easy, only 3 minutes away.

Little corner of paradise with a heavenly view of the mountains and the ocean. A quiet place, well equipped and very comfortable. Great terrace where we were able to contemplate the northern lights several evenings. We really enjoyed our stay, we will come back! thank you Guðlaug

My family and I had an amazing stay at this Airbnb. The location was perfect—close enough to downtown, but still in a quiet, peaceful area. The home was spotless, beautifully decorated, and equipped with everything I needed to feel comfortable. We also loved the thoughtful touches throughout the house, from cozy blankets to the coffee pots. This place made our trip even more memorable.

Great location!! Close and easy to all highways, 20 minutes to city and 20 minutes from KEF airport. Very quiet. The house had plenty of towels and linens and was very clean. This is owner's home, and she rents it out when she is out of town. It had 3 bedrooms and a fourth was a room partitioned off in the back of the large living room. There was also an oversized couch someone could sleep on. Plenty of comfortable and separate sleeping options. Would stay here again. Thanks

Excellent stay at Hartmann's. Brilliant communication before the visit and the house is lovely - Spacious, modern and well equipped. Roughly 10 minutes drive into central Reykjavik and in a quiet neighbourhood. Very warm and comfortable, perfect place to unwind after a busy day of sight seeing. Hot tub is an added bonus, and we saw the Northern Lights from it on our last night - An amazing experience! Thanks for having us!

Gardar's apartment is located in a quiet neighborhood just a few mins drive from Reykjavik city. It's also right next to the main entrance and allocated carpark lot - super convenient. Side note: Personal belongings are in the house but we still had space to put our stuff, so it wasn't a big issue.

I stayed solo in this cozy studio for 10 days in February and it was great. Excellent location - as others mentioned, it's close to bus stop #8 which is convenient for tours and airport transfers, and close to a few other public bus stops too. The unit is also in walking distance to a number of great restaurants, bakeries, coffee shops, the sculpture & shore walking path by the water, the Sundhöllin swimming pool, and more. The studio was safe, clean, and had everything I needed. I appreciated the free laundry, that the studio included a microwave, kettle, fridge, and hairdryer, and that I could adjust the heating as needed. Communication with Oddur was clear and prompt, and I really appreciated that they were flexible with my check-in and check-out times. The most exciting part for me is that I got to see the northern lights from the back garden/terrace on two different nights - it was magical! I'll definitely stay here again the next time I visit.

We had a wonderful time in this cozy apartment. It was a nice location to be outside the city but have easy access to main roads and shops. We chose this place as it was walking distance to our friends' house. Heba's decor is very pleasing and the kitchen had everything we needed. The space is well designed for relaxation and practicality. It was easy to park our rental car in the driveway.

Great location. Walkable to the all bars and restaurants. Bus Stop #13 is right outside the apartment, so it was easy for pick ups for tours. Apartment was clean and had a great view. Would stay here again for sure!

This AirBnb is not n a prime location for most activities in Reykjavík. The balcony offers an amazing view of the Northern Lights with a self filling/draining hot tub. The place was beautiful, and was perfect for a romantic stay.

We had a great stay in Selfoss. The condo is tucked into a complex of sorts. There is a playground very close which was great for our kids. The condo was very cozy, clean and comfortable. We were out sightseeing most of our time and this was a great “home base”. Not much to see right around the condo but that didn’t bother us. The condo had everything we needed and more. Thanks for a great stay!!

Beautiful new apartment near a bus station. Likewise, you can quickly reach the Skylagoon on foot and from there you can simply enjoy the northern lights. It was a very great apartment and I would book it again right away. 5/5
