Vacation rentals with a kayak in Hudson River

Beautiful location right on the Weare Reservoir. We visited in the fall and the foliage was stunning. The kayaks and fire pit were nice amenities to enjoy the property. Very peaceful and private stay.

Absolutely beautiful and peaceful spot for our weekend get away! Perfect space for our family to relax and enjoy the area. The hosts were very accommodating and communicated well. We were in town to visit our son at RPI but wanted to try a different location and this one was awesome. We will be back and will plan to stay longer next time to enjoy the area even more.

Great girls weekend spot for catching up and relaxing! Quiet in the off season, slept 6 of us comfortably. Quick drive to Saratoga and Lake George that we really enjoyed.

Susan's place was great for what we were looking for! A quiet, cozy weekend with friends was enjoyable because the house was comfortable, clean and in a private location with beautiful New Hampshire surroundings. I'd recommend to a larger group- 7 of us and a baby slept very comfortably. We would book again for sure!

Scott hosted my friends and I in a beautiful home on the water. We enjoyed water sport activities, even in November! We were 10 minutes away from New Paltz and 10 minutes away from hiking spots! The house was east to locate, check-in to, and Scott communicated very effectively. We were even granted late check-out! The house was very charming, well-stocked, and clean. One of my favorite touches was the “pet essentials” corner. Scott provided our pup with a bed, food bowls, and a leash - very thoughtful! His rules are clearly explained and easy to follow. I would definitely recommend a stay at Scott’s and would love to return next time I’m looking to stay in the area.

We had a lovely time at this place, it’s a bit small but we’ll appointed and you can’t beat the location, right on the river! The views out the back were incredible every day. This didn’t impact us but be aware the upstairs loft area is probably better for children and a tall adult would feel pretty cramped up there. As a rather short crew my family had no problems 😂. Would definitely stay again.

Excellent little house on the lake as described! We unfortunately were only able to stay one night due to weather but that highlighted how responsive Stephanie was as a host. Despite our short visit, beautiful views of the lake and the house has charm and character. I appreciate extra touches such as real soap and toilet paper. All around a fantastic visit - just too short but glad we got to ride the Essex Steam Train!

We loved every minute of our stay at The Painted Turtle cottage. The location is private and quiet and gorgeous. The house itself is delightful; we were comfortable as soon as we stepped inside. Everything is thoughtfully arranged, cozy, very clean. We only had two nights and so it was important that we didn't have to spend any time adjusting or settling any issues--there were none! We loved the hot tub, which we enjoyed under a clear sky with a full moon! Highly recommend this gem--we left checking our calendars trying to figure out when we can return. Thank you, Ellen!

The cottage is a beautiful retreat on Cedar Lake, perfect for a little getaway! The place itself is cozy but with plenty of space for what we needed, and a gorgeous deck right on the water. Couldn’t get enough of the outdoor space! Quiet neighborhood and incredibly close to the restaurants and shops of Sturbridge. Amazing stay!

This was an ideal place to get away from it all and decompress. The location was extremely quiet and peaceful with only the sound of the flowing river to be heard. Deer visited the property often. John was an extremely gracious and genuinely caring host. He was readily available and positively responsive to any and all questions. Making our stay a wonderful experience was his primary concern. He even transported our luggage to and from the cabin. Thank you John for a fantastic Thankgiving getaway. We're already planning our return.

Doreen's home is the perfect getaway, peaceful and cozy. She is a very responsive host and has great food recommendations. We will continue to stay at her home when in the area! We love the lake house!

We were so excited to spend a peaceful weekend in the Adirondacks, and this is the perfect place! The living area was warm and cozy, the kitchen had everything that we needed, the bathroom was clean and updated. The seating was comfortable and the smart TV was a good size for the space. The beds were also comfortable. The surroundings were beautiful in the snow, which was plowed regularly during a two-day snow storm. We were just a few minutes drive from town, which always has lots to do. The grocery store is well-stocked and there are lots of fun shops. The host was very clear with instructions in the listing, and very accommodating while we were there. She even sent someone to make sure that we could all make it up the driveway in the snow storm (which was no problem at all for us with AWD). We wanted to go back to the cabin as soon as we got home, since we already missed the peace, quiet, and beauty. We will certainly go back again. Thank you for having us!

We absolutely loved our stay! The place was exactly as pictured—perfect for a family vacation. It had everything we needed, from a great shower to comfortable beds. The setting is peaceful, right on the lake, with stunning views of sunsets and starry skies on clear nights. We enjoyed the tennis court and the equipment for both tennis and pickleball. Owen and his partner were incredibly friendly and quick to respond. The location couldn't have been better for a fall getaway in Vermont. Highly recommend!

The cabin was beautiful, cozy, and spotless—we enjoyed every moment of our stay. Living right by the lake was such a unique experience, and we’d love to come back. Eugene was friendly and responsive throughout, making us feel completely at home.

I didnt want to leave this little cabin in the woods. It felt rustic but had all the modern amenities you would expect in a home. From the rocking chairs on the porch to the comfy beds, there is nothing I could complain about, even if I tried. Marilyn gave excellent suggestions of places to eat and local current events. We left with fall apples, bellies full of clam chowder, and gigantic smiles!!! We have already started planning our return!

I've stayed at a couple dozen AirBnB's over the years, but this most recent one, Jacqui's place on Spruce Lake, goes right to the top of my list of best AirBnB experiences. It has an amazing location, is wonderfully designed and decorated, pristinely clean and functional, but most of all, it has an indefinably cozy and peaceful vibe. A lovely retreat from the world, and a great place to hang out in front of a roaring fire ( it has a truly magnificent fireplace) with loved ones.

Thank you for sharing you property with us. My kids had so much fun with the boats and the great fishing. They also loved the rope swing. Comfortable furniture, really good amount of cookware, and various items around like bug spray or drinking water, life vests, first aid kit, and boats! Good amount of boats/kayaks to use. Friendly host and felt welcomed and at home. There is a gas grill that works very good, and also a set up so that you can grill over fire...very cool. Inside there is a propane stove top making morning eggs and potatoes easy. Excellent silence too, being so away from main roads. Saw a lot of birds, and there is plenty of bass. Very fair price for convenient and well seasoned fire wood. Great stay. I recommend.

We stayed at this beautiful cabin by the lake with beutiful views. The house was clean and cozy. The kitchen is well stocked. Linda was very good at communicating and was flexible. Highly recommend!

Hosts were absolutely wonderful! Went above and beyond to make us feel right at home! The stay was also very beautiful with an outstanding view. It is definitely a steal for the price and I definitely recommend it! It's private but only a 10 minute drive from the local town! I definitely recommend this for a relaxing getaway

Carol and Jeff were fantastic hosts and their cabin on the lake was exactly what my wife and I were expecting for our baby moon. The property on Sixth Lake was just far enough from town to be peaceful and relaxing but close enough to get a bite to eat, do some shopping, and pick up any needed grocery items. Carol and Jeff provided perfect communication and the house had everything. Oh, and can’t forget the cookies, which were the best. Sean and Katie
