We were a group of 11 cyclists and our support (3) traveling from Nigeria to Ghana. We needed somewhere big enough for all of us and close to the border for ease of movement. Based on the pictures and messaging the host (Ghislain), we took the place. We enjoyed the place and decided to stay there on our return from Ghana. Ghis, ensured that we had dinner and breakfast as requested. The caretaker, Raphael, was also very helpful. Overall, we were all satisfied with our stay. The accommodation met our expectations and provided us with a comfortable and enjoyable experience. Well done Ghislain and your team. I hope to meet you soon.

My family and I had a fantastic stay at Nyumba Lodge! Christine was very responsive in advance of our stay and once we arrived Steve and the team were fantastically welcoming and helpful! The Lodge itself was beautiful and clean and we felt safe at all times. The breakfast was great!

We loved our stay here on this peaceful orange grove on the outskirts of Ouidah. Everyone at the Ranch was so nice and helpful, the food was great, and the beds and bathroom were super clean! Hospitality was superb! We’ll be back for sure on our next visit to Benin! Thank you for making our stay so wonderful and for all the delicious palm wine and Sodabi!

I couldn't not have picked a better spot to stay in Ouidah during Vodoun week. Most of the tourist sites and dances were within walking distance as his apartment is centrally located. The apartment was simple but tastefully furnished. Layo is the perfect host, responsive, pro-active and full of recommendations throughout. A public thank you for your hospitality!

I had a serene time in Candice’s beautiful garden and Apartment. It is a really outstanding hidden treasure in Ouidah, a bit away from the town center. The garden is gorgeous and the apartment clean and beautifully designed. There is no kitchen, but restaurants nearby. Pacome, who also lives on the premises, was very kind and helpful. The streets in the area are under construction, so it’s best to ask for detailed instructions how to get to the location beforehand. Thank you!

We spent four days and four nights in this beautiful home in Grand-Popo, and everything was perfect! The location is ideal, just steps from the sea, in a quiet and peaceful setting. The house is beautiful, well decorated and very well-equipped, including the kitchen which allows you to prepare your meals easily. We particularly enjoyed the outdoor areas, with a beautiful terrace to enjoy the breathtaking ocean views. The Wi-Fi works well, and the entire property is very comfortable. The hosting was excellent: the caretaker is extremely kind and available, always ready to help. Communication with Amaaffra was also very easy and enjoyable. Access is simple, the house is close to the main road while being in a quiet area, with few people on the beach. A perfect stay, we highly recommend!

I really enjoyed my stay here. the hosts were really hospitable and provided plenty local recommendations about the vodun festival I came for. I don't speak French, so they assured me multiple times in getting transportation around Ouidah, to Cotonou, and also back to Lagos. The food and juice they provided to me was delicious. Anything I asked for, they were quick to provide or help me get. To arrive to ouidah, I took a bus from Lagos to Ouidah. When it was time for me to travel back to Lagos, they helped me use a route which was more time efficient and cost less than the method I used to come to Ouidah. The hospitality they showed me at their home could be the gold standard for air b n b.

Thanks to Bibi and her husband for hosting us as the first tenant in their peaceful haven, which is a real bubble in its own right, tastefully decorated and a constant family atmosphere Thank you for Bibi's honesty, his attention to detail throughout the week, and his great kindness. We will be happy to leave this address to all of our volunteer contacts in Benin!
