House vacation rentals in Horowhenua District

We had a lovely 4 night stay. The hosts have exquisite taste, the furniture and styling is unique, and makes this property feel like a home, and not some generic airbnb. The outdoor area is obviously a highlight, the pool got a lot of use, the kids absolutely loved it. Also the sauna was a real treat too. The indoor/outdoor flow was great, and created a wonderful relaxed atmosphere. The playground was just across the road, and the beach a 5 min walk. Thanks for having us, we will definitely be keen to return.

Kelvin is the best host you can ever find. He goes out of his way to make sure we are properly settled in every aspect. The house is modern and well maintained. And amenities are as good as being at home, perhaps better in many aspects. Close to the town, close to all the retreats at the gorge, and the river is at a stone throw distance. There is actually a fresh water pool within the property, water sourced form the Otaki river. So its like swimming in river water, just in the front yard.

A fantastic home to relax by the pool and enjoy the sun. Great outdoor space and plenty of room in each bedroom. We were very comfortable here and would recommend Dianne’s home to others!

Lovely , relaxing place..Everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. Having the use of 2 garden areas was a bonus Kitchen well equipped with generous breakfast provisions. Hope to be back . ..

we really enjoyed our time at the house, it had everything we needed for a relaxing night, especially the pool as it was a very warm day. a short drive to Masterson for supplies but a great spot to stargaze without light pollution. loved it, thank you Sarah ☺️

An absolutely beautiful home in a fantastic location. Simon and Jo have done an amazing job creating a piece of paradise and had thought of every possible convenience to make the stay as enjoyable and easy as could be. Highly recommend.

Such an amazing property. We stayed with extended family including 5 under 5yos and it was so suitable with all the space and outdoor areas to explore. The kids loved feeding the chickens and talking to the sheep. We loved the big outdoor dining spaces, as well as the spa, pool and tennis court. Such a great spot for a relaxing stay with the family. My friends and I had a lovely, relaxing weekend at Natalie’s place! Natalie was super responsive and helpful, checking in with us and giving us great recommendations. This spot is super convenient to a gorgeous beach and has amazing outdoor areas for a good summer getaway.

We loved our stay at Little Paradise. The home is stylish and comfortable, and provided everything we needed. The fully equipped kitchen and pantry meant we had everything we needed for breakfast and cook a meal if we wanted to. George and Scott were particularly thoughtful with providing fresh milk, bread, butter and eggs. It was delightful sitting on the deck listening to the birds and enjoying the garden. There is a bush track which takes you to a Balinese hut. The hosts provided helpful information as to cafes and restaurants in the area and highlights of what to do on the Kapiti coast. We highly recommend Little Paradise. It felt like home to us. Karin and Richard

Our stay was beautiful! Absolutely loved every moment and the place was stunning absolutely exceeded our expectations and felt very homey! Close to the beach which is always a bonus on holiday and was a very quiet environment which is great for some more chill evenings!

This was an ideal spot to rest and use as a base for business I had in the area. The house is modern and simple, well insulated, and spotless with modern furnishings and a variety of kitchen items and appliances to use. Arriving on a cold afternoon to find that Barry had pre-heated the accommodation was a nice touch making the place warm and inviting. Clear instructions were left on the dining bench and Barry ensured that privacy was maintained by keeping his distance from his house immediately adjacent the accommodation. I would stay here again if I'm travelling back through the district.

My husband and I had a fabulous time at Lisa's - sooo disappointing it was only one night ! It is a great place the location is excellent - beautiful walks close to takeaway stores and Four Square - really easy to put your feet up and have a great break away :) The bach is very homely everything we needed a comfy couch - fabulous bed and peaceful we would love to come again ! Plus I love the way Lisa gives clear instructions about having a dog on her property as it means that I know she really cares about her guests and takes pride in her holiday home - well done ! It makes it great for everybody ! Thankyou Lisa

We decided to extend our stay and Rongomaiaia was very accommodating. We will look to book this accommodation again in the future. Perfect for a short get away from the city buzz!

This place was awesome for our young family for a weekend getaway. The house was well equipped and had everything that we needed, the bedrooms were all a decent size and the super king bed in the master was amazing. A stones through to the beach and walking distance to coffee and the local park and pump track for the kids. I highly recommend this place and would definitely stay here again.

Alex’s place is the perfect Kiwi Bach experience. Well appointed and really family friendly. The kids toys were brilliant and loads of space. Alex was fast to communicate and give a heads up about it having shear curtains in the kids room prior to booking. It’s also super handy to the park, walk and cafe. The decking is also a highlight. We’d happily stay again!!

Super cozy atmosphere. Historic house and beautiful garden made our heart warm. The Jacarandá, in special, reminded us of home since it’s native to our country. Host was communicative and easy going.

Quaint beach shack, good for a getaway weekend. The back room with bunk beds is great for bigger families

Helens place is exactly what we needed for a weekend getaway with a few friends! Right by the beach, with enough room for a small group/big family! We can’t recommend this place more!
