Vacation rentals in Hillsboro

We had a great stay in the cabin. It was very clean and Lisa was very responsive. The surroundings of the house are beautiful and really peaceful. Nice fire pit by the river and beautiful views from the cabin. The kitchen is new and has everything you need! It was a cold weekend with freezing temperatures, so the only “minor issue” is that the heating equipment is in the living room so we had to keep the bedroom and bathroom doors open too keep the temperature acceptable during the night.

While I agree with the drawbacks mentioned in other reviews (eg, longer list of check-out chores than I expect at an Airbnb, not enough places to put or hang your stuff), the place is well located, secluded, and hosts are extremely responsive. When several things weren’t as expected on arrival, they comped us an extra night. It was just the getaway we needed.

A great escape, super cozy and private. Just what you need to get away and feel relaxed. Would rent again!!

Adam’s cabin is gorgeous and exactly what was pictured. It’s secluded and so peaceful. Instructions for check in and out were clear and sent with a document full of other helpful info about the cabin, the amenities, and local places to visit. I mentioned we would be traveling with our toddler and they offered to bring out a pac n play and some toys that they had in the basement so we had less to travel with. Overall we had a great experience and I absolutely recommend this place!

We loved this space. It was comfortable, cozy, and looked and felt to be in a nice, safe neighborhood. There are plenty of kitchen supplies, towels, and couch space to relax. The upstairs bed was impressively comfortable! Over all, it was a great stay and we would definitely recommend!

Absolutely fabulous stay. The hot tub and huge living room couch are definitely my highlights of the trip. It was perfect for an intimate gathering and spending time with friends…it felt like a giant slumber party. I definitely recommend staying here, any issues were answered right away, plenty of utensils and towels.

Margie was great. She introduced herself to my son and I right when we got there. The accommodations were excellent. Beds were super comfy and everything was very clean. House sits right on a small lake in a very nice neighborhood.

Great little location in WV. We didn’t get to use the resorts but had a good time relaxing and enjoying the fireplace. Amenities were practical and clean. Host was very flexible, we had to adjust the dates and they did it with ease even refunded us some money because it was cheaper for the new dates! Highly recommend just for the customer service alone!

What a beautiful cabin! It was perfect for our relaxing friend weekend. The furniture and beds are comfortable, the kitchen is equipped with everything you could need, and the fireplace was delightful on the cold winter days. We especially enjoyed the coffee station! We really enjoyed our stay.

This cabin was just what we wanted for a weekend getaway from DC. The cabin had plenty of comfortable seating for our group of 8, spacious dining room and kitchen, and extra space to hang downstairs. We got 6” of snow in the middle of our weekend and Amy ensured we could safely get in and out of the driveway. The hot tub was perfect for the snowy weather. I’d definitely stay there again!

My husband and I stayed there with another couple for an extended weekend. The place had everything we needed. The he drive to the cabin was a bit challenging because of recent snow fall. Definitely plan to drive an AWD/4WD vehicle. On our last night, we lost power from another snow storm, but made the best of the situation. The owner kept in contact with us throughout and offered another additional night that we sadly declined. I would definitely stay here again!
