Private getaway

This area offers privacy.
I'm Hikari Mori. For this project, I have shaped the stay while listening closely to the quiet rhythm of time, the stillness, and the connection to nature that traditional Japanese homes embody.

The space
Rather than simply being a place to stay, I hope this experience allows guests to open their senses and fully embrace the present moment.

This space has been brought to life through the wisdom and craftsmanship of artisans, preserving its original essence while giving it new meaning. I would be happy if guests could feel the quiet richness that exists within Japanese culture through this stay.

By stepping away from daily life and turning inward, even briefly, I hope this becomes a time where new awareness and inspiration can emerge.

Experience Highlights:

Personal Welcome at Check-in
• Guests will be warmly welcomed by Hikari upon arrival, creating a sense of returning home.

Guided Tour of the Space
• Hikari will guide guests through the nagayamon and surrounding spaces, sharing the stories and design philosophy behind the property.

A Special Moment Curated by Tea Master Tairiku Amae
• Inspired by the childhood spirit of mamago-to (“make-believe play”) — something to be cherished even in adulthood — this experience is centered around the themes of tea, flowers, fragrance, and color, inviting guests into a playful and sensory journey.

Curated Dining Experience
• Meals featuring locally sourced ingredients will be served in a private setting.

Meet your host

Started hosting in 2026
I’m Hikari. Through my travels around the world, I have encountered diverse cultures and ways of living. These experiences have deepened my appreciation for Japan’s sustainable traditions, time-honored craftsmanship, and the enduring beauty of design that continues to inspire today. This project brings that philosophy to life — preserving traditional knowledge while reinterpreting it for the present in a sustainable way.
