Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Highland Village

Attending the Big 12 football championship we decided not to stay in a hotel near the stadium due to surrounding neighborhoods. We opted to stay in South Lake and we are glad we did. Having our adult sons join us it was nice to be able to feel "at home" after a day of golf and after the game. We appreciated the comfortable beds, separate bathrooms, equipped kitchen and sunroom. We especially enjoyed the thoughtful Christmas decorations. Arron was a great host, fair and quickly responded when we had questions. South Lake offers many more options for dining out and shopping and it was a quick trip to AT&T stadium. We highly recommend staying in this quiet neighborhood. Too bad it was too cold for the use of the pool! Sunroom was a nice separate get-a-way as well.

This by far has been the best Airbnb I have stayed in. This is our third time staying here and we will be back! Monique has literally thought of everything and truly a fantastic host. We love the snacks and fully stocked fridge with water and sodas and the welcome bottle of wine - this is such a nice touch after a long day of traveling. This place is cozy and feels like home. It’s super comfortable and offers great quality bedding. Most importantly, it is clean…very clean especially the bathrooms and kitchen. We never have to worry about staying at Monique’s place. We know exactly what we are going to get each and every time. The only negative…is it books quickly. If you are thinking about booking this place…book it right away.

We were working over in Fort Worth this last week so we decided to airbnb a house instead of a hotel -this house fit what we needed perfect. Plenty of room and space with a lot of parking area for 3 vehicles . Everything was clean and the pictures matched the house when we arrived there . I would recommend this house if you need to stay in this area thank you Mike

The grill and back patio were great. And the pool table inside kept all of us entertained. Lots of room for us all.

Great place. Loved our stay. We couldn’t get the gate key provided to work properly, but there was another entrance that was always open. When we got there it was a little tricky to find the building we were staying at because the numbers were hard to read from the car and it was dark. Other than those little things everything else was fantastic!

Best stay I’ve had on Airbnb in a long time. If you’re in the Dallas area and are lucky enough to stay with Erik I highly recommend. Very responsive and an all around gentleman. Will do business again!

Huge apartment complex near the freeway next to storage units and office complex. close enough to chain restaurants and other basic amenities, but a bit of a drive to Stockyards and downtown. The foldout couch/bed is small and comparable to sleeping on the converted table in an RV. Definitely not comfortable for a large adult . We did not have time to use the community pool or clubhouse, but I looked nice. Overall, I would pick this place again over a chain hotel but it's pretty basic and similar experience.

We loved our stay at Shequira's place! She was very responsive to our questions and requests. I will say the parking at this place is a little stressful, and it was a little confusing to know where to go; but, once you get the hang of it, getting in/out becomes a breeze!

The studio was an amazing little gem right on the water! It was perfect for a little getaway for me for my birthday! Both Kevin and Dianna were very friendly and hospitable, as well as generous with their time! I will definitely be back!

Melody's place was everything we needed it to be! She was very prompt in communication and was willing to work with us on check out time, overall a great experience.

Wonderful place to stay. Clean and beautiful view. The only issue is that you are to call to get the access code for the door lock however we booked on the weekend and the office was closed and response time had us waiting for a bit, however getting to relax by the lake wasn’t a bad wait.

Very cool lodge just outside Dallas. Picturesque on a lake...amazing sunsets! Tons of fun games to play!

By far one of the best Airbnb listings I’ve ever stayed at, as a veteran of this platform I was blown away by this home and the quality of attentiveness that Bonnie provided. The home was immaculate and filled with every amenity you can ever want, the listing was also squeaky clean and tucked away in a beautiful location with plenty of space. The fire pit and dogs that roamed the property were our favorite. I highly suggest this home to anyone looking for a getaway from the big city or somewhere to hang for a few days, thanks Bonnie!

I’m writing this review instead of my husband because I have OCD and am incredibly particular about cleanliness and comfort when staying at other people’s homes. That being said… this lake house was practically PERFECT! I had zero issues with cleanliness and found myself daydreaming about living here forever. It was such a relief to not feel the usual stress and hesitation about touching anything or even walking barefoot on the floors—everything was spotless. NO CLOTHES WERE HIDDEN BEHIND CURTAINS (for some reason most homes we’ve stayed at have this problem)!!! I legit took pictures of their interior design highlight to get ideas for my own home too. The hosts thought of every tiny detail to make the stay welcoming and comfortable (they made elephants out of towels! What beautiful human thought of that?!)!I would recommend this place 1000% to even my closest family members! I truly hope I get the chance to come back soon. THANK YOU to the wonderful hosts for giving me hope in AirBnB!

We enjoyed our stay at this sweet little A-Frame. We were in town for a wedding at The Cinnamon Barn not too far away. We were able to drive to McKinney one of the days and enjoy their beautiful downtown—less than a 20 minute drive from this house. We really enjoyed our weekend here! Plenty to do within driving distance or lots of spots to relax around this house!

This was a great place to bring the family together, plus it’s pet friendly and completely fenced in. The pool is really nice and so convenient being right outside the front door. It’s private and secluded, but still close to grocery stores and restaurants. We would stay here again!

The barn was beautiful, we absolutely loved it. It was clean and very welcoming. It had everything we needed. The host was communicative and responded quickly. Our stay was amazing, wish we could have stayed longer.
