Shane and Craig have a beautiful cozy cabin nestled in a private setting. They went above and beyond with local recommendations and tips for a wonderful stay! The cabin is well stocked, with good dishes and silverware, really feels like you are in your own vacation home. They will remind you to bring firewood as there is no central heating in the cabin, you’ll want to do that in the winter! Overall a wonderful place and would love to return.

Lovely place, and Bob was very communicative and helpful. The third room wasn't as desirable as the first two, but it did offer a lot of privacy. And the manual was very helpful in answering any questions we might have had.

It's a lovely home. Very charming, very peaceful. Good privacy. The hosts were very responsive, helpful, and all the instructions were easy to follow. The fireplace, hot tub, koi pond, floor plan, and overall peaceful quality are the highlights here. The critiques I have for this place are: 1. the bed in the master bedroom is a queen at largest and the mattress was too firm for our liking. 2. The kitchen appliances and utensils had not been cleaned very well and I hate to say that because I know a cleaning crew had been there before our stay (I would give them the benefit of the doubt on this topic though, because that was not reflective of the rest of the house which was very nicely set up and clean for our stay). Overall, we had a great stay.

Way nicer than expected. My family owns a cabin in the same area just a mile down the river but this cabin was so much nicer and had amazing accommodations, one night here was cheaper than what my aunt makes us pay to have the family cabin cleaned after staying there one night. Overall 10/10 stay

Ryan and James place was one of the nicest houses I've stayed in in Russian River. It is located right where the river meets the ocean and has some absolutely amazing views. It's quiet, well appointed, and well furnished. My only "complaint" is that the pictures of the living room on Airbnb (as of 2/12/2025) do not do it justice. There is a convertible couch and two comfy chairs set up in front of the TV with a breakfast noon off to one side and a gas fire in the corner. And absolutely amazing views out of the sliding doors. I can't wait to stay again!

Our group of four enjoyed our stay at the Black Sheep. We loved relaxing in the hot tub and watching movies on the big screen. We especially appreciated having robes for getting in and out of the hot tub in the wintery air! The downstairs is a bit of a quirky layout, but the large great room upstairs was a comfortable space for our group of four and the kitchen is well stocked for cooking. We were unable to use the grill or enjoy the large deck during our stay but would definitely enjoy that as well in warmer weather. We loved looking out on the trees off the deck, and we found the neighbors to be friendly as well. Communication with the hosts was easy and they were responsive throughout our stay. Tip: pick up some firewood before you arrive to enjoy the fireplace.

We had an absolutely perfect stay at Nathan and Tom’s cabin in Monte Rio. As fellow hosts, we can be a bit picky—we have high expectations for decor, hospitality, and overall experience. This place went above and beyond. The cabin strikes that ideal balance: warm and homey without feeling like you’re living in someone else’s space. Every detail was thoughtful, making it a cozy and inviting retreat. The location is stunning—secluded in the forest, offering incredible vibes and the perfect escape. Check-in was seamless, with clear instructions, and Nathan was a proactive and communicative host. He even reached out in advance to update us about heavy weather in the area, which we really appreciated. If you’re looking for a beautiful, peaceful getaway, this is it. We’ll return.

Definitely a must stay. Could not recommend more. Quiet and relaxing house. Had literally everything you needed and more. Great hosts!! Less than 10 mins from wineries, restaurants, and grocery. Will definitely stay again.

I had an amazing weekend at Pine Grove in the Maple Cabin. Joe and Noah are incredible hosts that have taken great care to ensure a perfect peaceful retreat. Our cabin overlooking the creek was well set up with everything you could need. Great hospitality! Also, Roomie is the GREATEST dog ever!

This location is absolutely spectacular! The rooms were impeccably clean, thoughtfully designed, and radiated a calming wellness vibe. The highlight for me was the private deck overlooking a serene babbling brook – the perfect spot to unwind. The natural wood hot tub was a dream, with no chemical smell, making it even more enjoyable. This stay felt like a true retreat, and I’m already looking forward to my next visit. Thank you for such a wonderful experience!

We stayed here for New Year’s Eve and had fun there for the countdown and welcoming the new year. The place was clean and the we were able to fix up a good meal in the kitchen. Bathroom was clean too. And location is great. We visited Armstrong park and hike there for the new year.

Such a cozy little cottage! It had all the amenities you could want and more. The private hot tub was the perfect way to unwind and relax after a long day. A truly peaceful and charming getaway! I’d definitely stay again.

This place is magical. There’s a creek in the backyard and surrounded by trees. You feel so far away from everything, but there’s a grocery not too far. The coffee shop right down the street is also very good. 10/10 would come back

This was one 2nd time staying at the love shack. This charming little bungalow sits in the one of the most majestic places. The host is always gracious, check in is super easy and the folks at the lodge next door make the stay that much more enjoyable. We will definitely be back.

We loved staying at Noah and Joe's place! The place was beautiful and surrounded by nature. The cabin was very clean and it included all the services listed in the description. It is pet friendly and we were able to bring our cats with us. They loved it as well, chasing birds and playing in the trees. The place also has public pools that are very clean with clear water. Joe was very friendly and always willing to help. I highly recommend this place if you want to spend some time relaxing and in contact with nature.

This house is an absolute gem. So unique and beautiful! Hiddie was very helpful when we had requests. She responded best via text. If you plan to cook you might want to bring your own cookware.

Nice house up in the pines. Great place to go for a walk

This was the perfect little cabin in the woods. Cozy and comfortable with a gas fireplace and a sweet view of the Russian River. It’s nice to have a full-size kitchen in a place like this. One little thing is that the refrigerator is kind of unique (it’s like two file drawers that keep things cold but there’s no freezer, so bring your own ice if you need it). Megan was always quick to respond and easy to communicate with.

We loved the charm and views of our private cabin. It had everything we needed for our stay, and then some. Jill is a great host, and her cohost Josh greeted us upon our arrival. Communication before, during, and after was great. Bed was very comfortable, property was very clean, and we enjoyed getting away from the hustle and bustle of the city for a peaceful long weekend (and it was still a quick drive to other places we visited on this trip). Thanks again for everything!

This was just a wonderful experience staying in this cabin on the river in the midst of beautiful redwoods. JENNIFER was just a wonderful host, anytime we had a question she got back to us quickly. It’s a great location with a couple restaurants within walking distance and wonderful small little villages and towns not too far away by car. If you’re looking to get away, this is an incredible value.

Lindsay was such a a wonderful, accommodating, and communicative host! She went above and beyond to make our stay special and answered any and all questions promptly. The house was inviting, cozy (once you get the fire going!) and had a better stocked kitchen than most AirBnbs you find. It definitely felt like a peaceful retreat by the ocean - don't hesitate to book!

This place is perfect for dog parents!! There are locations that are pet friendly then there are places that are pet welcoming! This house has everything you’d want for a vacation away from home with your dogs! The hosts were amazing and communicative when we had a small hiccup. They had a property manager on site within minutes and were able to adequately address our concerns! 10/10 would return here!!

The accommodations were just as described on the website. I would also add it was spacious, clean, quiet, and had a large deck with a beautiful view. The owner quickly responded to all inquiries we sent to her.

Rafael's place was great and offered a much needed relaxing place for the weekend. It was clean and has everything you need. A huge plus was the electric car charger. It was a game-changer for exploring the small towns/sites in the area. We will be back!
