Beautiful quiet location. Everything we wanted, beautiful trees and peaceful surroundings. Loved the “at home” feeling of the place. Kitchen appliances were super clean and top notch.

Bob's place is a magical little cabin hidden in the woods of Guerneville. It's a beautiful space that is artistically decorated and very comfortable. There are many whimsical elements from the 70s, and the views are stunning. It worked out great as a short getaway for our family of 4. A relaxing soak in the hot tub was very welcome at the end of the day. We would love to go back someday.

This is our 2nd stay 2 years later. And we soooo looked forward to it. Super cozy and the hotub never fails to leave an everlasting experience to remember. Staying here for us is like being in a home away from home and sharing it with my sister and 2 kids made it even sweeter! Chad as always was accommodating, genuine, thoughtful and hospitable beyond measure. Staying here is a treat and definitely memorable. There’s a great vibe within the people that reside in this neighborhood we absolutely love everytime we visit Monte Rio. Chad included…lol. Oh yeah forgot to mention down the hill to the left resides a fairy ring. Great photo session. Pretty magical!

The views from all parts of the property are spectacular, and the sense of privacy at this “highest point” location are wonderful. The home is very well appointed with everything one needs. It feels like a home, not a rental. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to return soon!

Our stay at the cabin was absolutely perfect! Nestled in a serene and picturesque setting, it offered the ideal escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. The natural surroundings were full of greenery and calming sounds all around. Inside, the cabin was unequivocally cozy, clean, and extremely thoughtfully designed! We loved spending evenings in the fun yet comfortable living room area while ~especially~ enjoying its masterpiece: the projector screen! Other particularities that are MUST to be experienced are the record player, the fireplace, and last but not least: the hot tub!

We had a great, cozy winter stay. The fireplace was very charming and helped keep the upstairs toasty! The hot tub was also perfect in the cool, wet weather. Can’t wait to head back again soon!

My wife and I stayed at Jack’s place several nights on the way back to Portland from a holiday trip in Southern California. We wanted to take some hikes and see birds in Point Reyes park. The house worked just right for all of that. Very comfortable, easy to cook a couple of meals in the kitchen and beautiful surroundings. Bed was comfortable and warm and hot tub was a treat. Do note that the bathroom is not on the same floor as the bedroom, but that worked ok. And there is some wonderful art throughout the home. Overall a very nice place to stay. Thanks. Peter and Linda

Spent the week at Cobb Cabin for a workcation. Perfect for our two adventure cats! The cabin was so cozy, the host was very communicative, and the surroundings were gorgeous. Thanks!

A very sweet spot for a family getaway. The cabin was cozy and had everything we needed. The redwoods were beautiful and the creek was magic. We can’t wait for our next visit!

Judy is a terrific host. Was very responsive and the house was spotless when we arrived. If you are looking for a quiet and relaxing weekend, then I would recommend renting this house.

This cabin was the perfect little getaway spot! We loved the fire pit and indoor fireplace alike. The home was cozy, warm, and comfortable. However there was one significant downside to this property: the neighbors. Within 10 minutes of arriving we had a neighbor asking if we owned the car parked down the street (it was not; we parked where the instructions told us to), and we later had a different neighbor come and tell us to wrap it up when we were enjoying our time by the fire pit. We weren’t being particularly loud and this was prior to the 10pm quiet hours. It was a little off-putting, but it didn’t stop us from enjoying our time. The property itself is welcoming, the neighborhood roads are beautiful, and the Russian River Pub is a must visit. I-Chuan Karen was very kind and communicative host and despite the neighbors, I would stay there again!

Fantastic place, lovely view, we didn't even want to leave. There is a little store, a cute coffee shop and a restaurant just a walk away. So much nature around you. The place itself was stocked with everything we needed and kept so clean! The bathroom had heated floors which was awesome as it was cold. We even got to use the fireplace, and an old school record player! Our pup had so much fun just staring out into the wilderness as well!

A breath of fresh air, this sanctuary cottage was a wonderful place to unwind and enjoy the beauty of the moment. The cottage had high end charm to it, with wonderful selections of cabinetry, countertops, furniture, towels and linens. Exceeded expectations.

We loved staying at Noah and Joe's place! The place was beautiful and surrounded by nature. The cabin was very clean and it included all the services listed in the description. It is pet friendly and we were able to bring our cats with us. They loved it as well, chasing birds and playing in the trees. The place also has public pools that are very clean with clear water. Joe was very friendly and always willing to help. I highly recommend this place if you want to spend some time relaxing and in contact with nature.

Thora's place was beautiful and exactly what we were looking for in a quick getaway with the kids. The access to the river is absolutely the best part of the stay since we didn't have to leave the property at all. The water's are calm and the fact that there are umbrellas on the beach, and even a kayak to use, was the icing on the cake. EV charging was key and it made the whole round trip from the city just that much more easy.

We loved Caroline’s place on Tomales Bay. We celebrated Thanksgiving with our adult children without the turkey and instead barbecued oysters and kayaked in the bay. I loved so many little things about the house. The beautiful sunflower towels in the bathroom. The cool little night lights, the shampoo and conditioner smelled so good. The house had an amazing book and CD collection and we listened to most of the CDs. The sitting room had wonderful views out of the windows. We also loved outdoor bathtub with a view of the bay. The sunsets were magical. We had a perfect stay.

Megan is an excellent host. The cozy cottage is quiet, peaceful and has an amazing view of the river. Her place was carefully curated to ensure we felt comfortable and the decor was amazing. Loved the fireplace as well. Definitely would go back as there is so much to do and explore in the area! Thank you Megan for sharing your amazing place!

We enjoyed our stay very much. The cabin is cozy and very comfortable. The electric stove helps with the cozy ambiance. The skylights and windows all around give you a great view to look at. The mattress was too firm for for me but my husband appreciated it. The driveway was steep but definitely doable (in a mid-size suv) and my husband enjoyed the challenge. I'm glad we didn't let it deter us from staying here. The check in/out times were great. Thanks for having us.

Awesome and responsive host, great location and cabin

Would highly recommend Sonoma‘s Best Cottage to anyone considering a stay in Sonoma. Great location, great amenities. Listing photos are a bit lacking-Just know you’ll be surrounded by three other cottages; two one each side of the driveway-but still feel very private and within walking distance to a general store and coffee /breakfast place that shares the same parking lot. Very clean and comfortable. Highly recommend.

We really enjoyed our stay in this lovely home in the woods. The cabin was as described – it felt spacious with lots of natural filtered lighting coming through big windows. Lots of couches and comfy spaces to sit. We were pleasantly surprised at just how well-appointed the stay was and how much care had been given to details – eg kitchen was stocked with caf and decaf coffees, teas, and a variety of sweeteners in labeled ceramic containers. The shampoo, conditioner, and body wash were from a local organic SF company. All the bedrooms had memory foam mattresses and the bed linens were high quality. It made for a very comfortable stay! The location, just between Guerneville and Jenner, is pretty ideal for a getaway with small town conveniences nearby. We loved this stay and world definitely come again! The only thing that was less than ideal was a neighbor whose home is close + had loud TV/music/rowdiness at times during the day + night. The home is in the woods but not isolated.
