We'd love to have you as our guests on the Peaceful Side of the Smokies!! We're somewhat new to Airbnb, but not new to providing wonderful stays at our place in Townsend. Located 2 miles up the mountain from the Townsend Visitor Center, we're in a gated community (not a cabin village) that gives you a private, serene experience just 3 miles from the entrance to the Smokies. We’re in a private neighborhood, so we ask our guests to observe speed limits, one way roads, and quiet hours. Have fun!

Shady Grove boat ramp is just a few 100 ft from the house. The ramp has a dock for easy loading and unloading. Out on the water there are four marinas with restaurants and gas docks. Check this place out! We had a wonderful stay and enjoyed the accommodations immensely. This unit was well-equipped, beautifully decorated and full of charm. Located in Old City, you can easily walk to shops and restaurants downtown. The large windows offered beautiful, natural light and made you feel like you were outside and a part of the city. The building is easy to access and instructions regarding check- in and check-out were clear and easy to follow. This host went above and beyond in regards to communication, as well as little details inside the unit that made me feel welcomed and "right at home". I would 100% recommend staying here. Even the early morning trains make this place unique and memorable.

My Wife and I really enjoyed our stay at the cabin! Everything was exactly what we were hoping it would be a clean, private and peaceful cabin. Townsend is also a perfect town to have a land back day trying the local food, coffee shops, and stores. We would definitely stay again!

What a great hideaway. The cabin was snug and cozy. Had ample room for parking and turn around. Living space was clean, uncluttered, and easy to navigate. Bathroom was clean and well stocked. The kitchen had all the desired equipment for making meals. The cabin doesn't have central air or heat and the time of year we stayed had cold mornings, but there were enough heaters to keep the space cozy. We did not use the fire pit, but did use the propane grill. Though the grill is supposed to be self starting, it wouldn't, but the grill supplies had all I needed to start it. The hot tub was attempted, but with little experience and light instructions, it was not a successfully comfortable attempt. Highly recommended.

Stayed here for a weekend at the Park with my husband and toddler. It worked out great. Short drive into town and the park. It was nice to be able to have some meals at the place. We also liked that there was parking right in front of the room, which made unloading with the little one very easy.

This little apartment is awesome! It’s the perfect location and very very private. This was rented just for myself and my 2 pups. I had lifelong friends from Florida that have an RV and added in visiting Townsend for my birthday and Mike had said it was fine if she came over to visit! The apt is a lot bigger inside than expected! It was clean, clean, clean! It sits on a nice flowing river and every morning we were greeted by a pair of flying geese! The patio area and scenery is beautiful and serene! There is a full kitchen and 2 futons. U can close the room off if needed for privacy. There are also 2 rocking chairs. Mike and Connie were very helpful prior to the trip and after we arrived! I was lucky enough to meet them both! Townsend is a quaint and quiet town! Everyone everywhere was very kind and friendly! I plan to spend more time in Townsend and hope Mike and Connie will have an opening!

We cannot thank you enough for the beautiful living space and even more beautiful views! We wanted peace and quiet and that's exactly what we received. So calming and quiet. Just peace in that space of God's beautiful earth. Immaculate living space, large bedrooms and large bathrooms. Loved the large walk in shower too. Pamela and Jon were excellent hosts. We enjoyed talking with them and finding out more about the valley we were in and the local area. Honestly, cannot thank you enough. We are already looking into returning and staying with you again! Blessings and thank you from the Oyer and Dingman families
