Family-friendly vacation rentals in Hampden County

Had an amazing experience in this amazing house. Was able to relax and enjoy the amazing view. We enjoyed a snow fall from the jacuzzi, enjoying the sound of the river, best was to enjoy the snow. Cant wait to be able to book again and enjoy the warmer weather from this amazing home.

Really enjoyed sitting in the hot tub during a snow storm and appreciate Virginia having a fire going when we arrived on a very chili night. The house is in a great location, close enough to access anything you need but far enough away to be quiet and very private. We’d love to stay there again next time we’re in the area.

Unlike anything I have ever seen! My husband and I decided to go to Vermont to elope and we were looking for a unique place to stay within an hour distance. We weren’t able to arrive to the property until late, but John was very patient and let us in with a smile. The space itself was very clean and put together nicely. The sleeping arrangements were so comfortable that we overslept! We will be staying here again. Thanks John!

We felt like we were in a historic charming New England home, with all of the amenities of a modern resort. Outside, you can relax on the deck, watch birds and butterflies in the wildflowers and the little frogs in the lily pond. If it rains, there's a screened in porch for eating and lounging. Judith even left us apples to feed the three horses up the hill in the pasture. The house is in a beautiful rural neighborhood and there's Atkins Farm nearby that supplied us with everything we needed for a little pre-wedding breakfast - including great sandwiches and apple cider donuts. There were a lot of sleeping options for guests and the house was spotlessly clean. It was so convenient for a familty gathering and for our daughter's wedding at the Red Barn at Hampshire College. Judith took the time to answer our questions by text and phone before we arrived and she left us a long, detailed instruction letter. We look forward to another stay in the near future. Escape to the Bershires is a true gem. We fell in love with the house and the location. The house is very spacious, we enjoyed the living room with the excellent entertainment center, the 2 other gathering rooms were great for private conversations. Each bedroom was comfortable and nicely decorated. The kitchen is large and well stocked with everything you would need to make your gourmet meals. I have been renting from Airbnb for 8 yrs and this home is by far our favorite. We will return.

This was a great stay in downtown Northampton! I loved being close to the main street while not right on it. There was plenty of space for a couple and their large dog. The only drawback might be the size of the bathroom (small) and the pocket door for it, it could have been challenging to have privacy if we had shared with friends. It was great to have an off-street parking space and a private entrance with the sunroom to leave snowy shoes. Would recommend!

It was very peaceful, great get away from the city. Good for the dogs. The copper tub is amazing, we could not get enough of it. And the dual showers felt so good. It felt very homey. Mr. John was a a great host.

This home is just as cozy as it looks! We enjoyed the quiet comfort the home brings- plenty of sitting space, fireplace, extra sitting room, and well stocked kitchen supplies! Close enough to towns for cute shopping, but recommend getting groceries on the way in so you don’t have to leave! 10/10 stay and the host was so nice.

Anna, bubba (the cat), and I visited the crows nest for the second time (and my third). It was wonderful, we love staying at the crows nest! It feels like we’re right at home and our cat loves running up and down the stairs. Theres plenty of hiking to do around, which was super fun to do in the snow. Carol and Robin let us know about a possible parking ban and where to park if that occurred (in their driveway), which we really appreciated!

We just got back from six nights and had a wonderful stay! The house was as described and very clean. The kitchen is fully stocked with cooking utensils and dishwasher. We went with three 13 yr olds and they had a blast. The lake was good for swimming and paddling. I specifically wanted a lake that wasn’t so big the kids might paddle out and then not be able to paddle back, this was the perfect size. We all agreed the covered porch was our favorite spot, perfect for games and reading. It was a very restful stay and hope to be back next year!

Charming, clean and comfortable farmhouse. We wanted a quiet place for a group of three friends to gather and ended up having very cold weather with snow and ice. Eric kept the driveway cleared and made sure we were comfortable. Very responsive host. I would stay here again!

This was perfect for a quick getaway with friends. Super spacious, clean, close to everything & easy to find. Sue was super nice & accommodating, even leaving us a little treat upon check in. We all said we would definitely stay here again!

Really cute apartment in a great location within walking distance of anything in downtown Northampton. Place was well decorated and had everything I needed. Sue responded very quickly with a handyman when a minor issue came up, it was fixed within an hour. Would stay here again!
