I had the best stay ever! This charming cottage exceeded all my expectations. It's absolutely stunning, with beautiful decor and a cozy ambiance that makes you feel right at home. The cottage is fully equipped with everything you could possibly need, from a well-stocked kitchen to plush linens and towels. The location is wonderfully peaceful, surrounded by nature, which adds to the relaxing atmosphere. Plus, the hot tub was the perfect touch—soaking in it after a day of exploring was an absolute delight! Overall, it was a perfect getaway.

We had a fantastic three-day stay at a lovely cottage in Minden Hills, Ontario, to celebrate the New Year. From the moment we arrived, we were enchanted by the peaceful surroundings and the picturesque winter landscape. The cottage was cozy, spotlessly clean, and fully equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable and memorable stay. One of the highlights of our experience was how responsive and helpful Paul was. Whenever we had questions or needed assistance, he was quick to reply and always made sure we had everything we needed. His attentiveness added a personal touch that truly elevated our trip. The location was perfect, offering both tranquility and access to nearby trails for winter walks. We spent our evenings relaxing by the fire and enjoying the quiet beauty of the snowy woods. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook delicious meals, and the thoughtful details throughout the cottage made us feel right at home. Thank you paul for everything - can’t wait to return

The house was larger than we thought from the pictures and with only four of us staying, there was plenty of space. Everything was very clean and anything we could have wanted was there. We loved the location so very close to Dorset, Algonquin Park and Henrietta's in Dwight! The snow this time of year was incredible but the scenery any time would be all you could dream of. We know the area very well from 30 years of vacation time spent exploring but Ana also offered to provide suggestions if we needed them. We would recommend this location to anyone looking for a beautiful, roomy space to stay in the heart of our favourite area! And of course, we had to pop into Robinson's General Store!

Words cannot describe how impressed we were with Laughing Moose. The minute I walked in the front door I felt I could live here for ever. The incredible views, the spacious kitchen the stylish little pieces of decor make this place comfortable, relaxing and luxury. Janice pays attention to every little detail to ensure we had a fabulous time! From the selection of quality glasses, crockery and cooking utensils to the games and puzzles ( we completed a full jig saw puzzle between us) we had everything we could possibly need and much more. Even a thoughtful and delicious blueberry pie to welcome us !! We were visiting from Australia and planned this weekend with our two sons and families for a getaway together. It couldn’t have been more perfect and we made such fabulous memories. So much space for all 8 of us plus the 2 dogs! I can’t thank you enough for this special visit! My fiancee and I wanted a place where we could experience winter with our 14 month old son. This cottage was perfect. It's on a beautiful, quiet, large piece of property. There was so much snow on the ground but we were still able to enjoy ourselves! There was a massive snow storm coming so unfortunately we had to end our visit early. The inside of the cottage is set up beautifully and has everything you should need. Our son is just learning to walk and had a blast zooming around the main floor. Even though we had to leave early we still enjoyed our stay and would love to check it out again. Luke, Kelce, Grady

Loved our stay! So peaceful and so quiet. Beautiful location surrounded by nature. Clean accommodations and very well maintained. Amanda was so easy to communicate with. The hot tub was a fantastic bonus. Wish I lived there! A little piece of heaven on earth.

This place was beautiful and beyond what we expected. We ended up staying an extra night due to a big ice storm. We had no choice. The roads were blocked with fallen down trees. Marcia was very accommodating and responded quickly to our messages. We had no hydro and she had a generator for us to use and her husband instructed us to use it. All Marcia cared about was how we were doing and if we were safe. She made sure we were good for hydro and heat. Would I come here again or recommend other people to come…… of course❤️ You’d be crazy not to make this your getaway. Thank you Marcia❤️

We had a very relaxing, peaceful time at the cottage, it is the perfect place to recharge! Everything in the description is true. The place is spotless, tastefully done, awesome woodstove with wood supplied. The kitchen spice cupboard is a dream. The host even has some coffee if you run low. Everything is top of the line, what a treat! Another treat is feeding the birds, chipmunks, red squirrels and a friendly black one. Jars of food to share with our furry friends! This is our second time visiting. The location is easy to find and down the road from Apsley.Definitely worth the drive! Thanks Stephen we'll visit again.

It was our second time staying at this cottage, and both times in the winter. It’s been 3 years since we came here before, and a few things had some general wear, like the outdoor transport wagons etc. But it was mostly the way we remembered it. Some issues with the tv, dvd set up, ( we couldn’t locate the dvd remote or find the Xbox.), but we LOVE this cottage and the hosts are so responsive and welcoming and have made the kabin’s interiors so magical and thoughtfully considered. Even though it was a very snowy wintery stay, there was still lots to do in the area. Our favourite spots are the sculpture forest, the wolf Center, and a day trip to Bancroft! Highly recommend this magical spot.

Josh and Alyssa are great hosts. They are friendly and responsive, and made our stay easy and enjoyable. Their place is set up well, with lots of things to do inside and out. Not to mention, their rates are very reasonable. I would recommend staying with them.

We had a really nice stay as family at Michelle's place. The location on the lake is great and we had access to the canoe and kayaks. The house was spacious with games for the kids and a large kitchen where we could cook. It had everything we needed. We even spotted an otter in the lake on two evenings. Michelle always replied very quickly and was very accommodating. Thank you.

Mark and Chris's place was amazing and even better in person. They were very responsive with any questions and took the time ahead of our check-in to ensure a smooth check in. The location of the cottage is very private and the cottage itself is very beautifully done. We all enjoyed the hottub in the cold weather. Thanks for sharing your cottage Mark and Chris.

My husband and I and our 2 kids stayed at Amanda's for a week stay. It was a lovely cottage, very comfortable and cozy on a beautiful lake. Having access to kayaks canoe, paddle boat made the stay great, along with the hot tub was a great bonus. The cottage instructions were helpful to better plan the trip, and Amanda and Cindy were very responsive. A lovely stay for some rest and relaxation with family.

Such an amazing winter getaway! Snow cleared, fire still going when I arrived, lights on. Truly a fantastic stay!

We had a wonderful stay at this Sugarbush cottage! It was impeccably clean and cozy, just like the photos. Mike was communicative and welcoming, which added to the positive experience. The location was peaceful, ideal for a relaxing long weekend. I would highly recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a serene and hassle-free getaway and look forward to visiting again!

Had a great stay during an ice storm. Lost power, cell service and internet. The generator turned on automatically and power was restored! Clean and tidy. Great cottage would love to rent again. Host was pleasant and friendly!

My partner and I really enjoyed our stay here! The hot tub was lovey and the cottage has such a pleasing layout. It was equipped with everything we needed! We loved the fireplace, and sat by it reading the day away! The lake was frozen over and on our first night, we watched a fox cross the lake- it was a treat! I imagine that the beach/lake would be incredible in the summer months! The drive to the cottage was definitely an adventure! Lots of hills and curves - I was glad they shared the 4WD was required in winter (and that our small pups were wearing the seat belts)! Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would definitely visit again!

We stayed at Karen’s cottage with our 3 boys. The cottage was clean, clutter free and had everything you could possible need for your stay. It was peaceful and spacious and exactly as described. We had a wonderful stay and look forward to returning in the near future!

My family of 11 (parents, grandparents, siblings, kids) had a lovely stay over Thanksgiving weekend. The cabins were so well stocked with everything you could possibly need for cooking etc, and Janet was quick to respond to any concerns and questions we had during our stay. The weather was lovely, the cabins were so charming and comfortable, and we couldn't have asked for better weather. We would absolutely consider coming back again.

Stayed three nights and four days during a late March ice storm. The wood stove was definitely our favourite feature as it allows us to cook food when the storm knocked out the power. There was an abundant supply of covered firewood outside. The tapwater has a UV filter so we used that to drink, but we also brought a tank of water which came in handy when the power went out. Follow the handbook and you’ll have a great time but you 100% needed a four-wheel-drive with snow tires if the temperature is below zero, the hills were quite treacherous due to the ice and snow. Chris replied to all of my inquiries in very timely fashion which was great and was always helpful. Overall, had a great trip and would definitely go back.

We stayed at the beginning of December, after a large snowfall. It was beautiful and peaceful. The house itself was lovely with so much character. The kitchen was very well equipped. There were lots of bedding and blankets, which is very much appreciated, especially since so many listings in this area expect you to bring your own. Jessica was very responsive and kind. I really loved staying here, and would come back.

Loved our stay at River Vista! The attention to detail was what makes this cottage luxury: from beautiful live plants, to plenty of convenient storage, comfy beds and a giant couch perfect for enjoying the forest view, playing board games or snuggling with a book. Loved walking to the falls, as well as just watching the river flow. The private mini hike was a cool surprise too. Last but not least, Natasha and Matt are responsive and helpful - thank you! We can’t wait to return in the summer so we can float, paddle board and canoe 🛶.
