Prisca is a five star hosts. She is great in communication and made all the efforts to ensure we enjoy our stay. The house is in a nice and peaceful location.

Had wonderful stay. Place was very homey and comfortable - WiFi worked well. Kitchen & fridge & appliances were all good. Rooms & beds were comfortable - all rooms had their own bathroom. Outside veranda was nice. Tastefully decorated. Only thing that didn’t work was tv but we didn’t come to watch tv so no problem. Neighborhood is very quiet and residential. Felt safe behind gate and where it is located. Fred’s response time was quick and helpful. Would stay again.

Staying in this primitive cottage in Marseille feels fantastic! It is very close to Kilimanjaro Airport. The cottage is very distinctive, full of traditional Maasai style, and the surrounding environment is particularly beautiful, with vast grasslands and spectacular Mount Kilimanjaro. Here, I experience the culture of the Maasai people. The landlord and his family warmly changed me into Maasai clothes and had tea together. In the evening, we danced by the campfire, which was very interesting. this stay experience exceeded my expectations and was fantastic.

Great place for families travelling through Moshi

A nice place for a group of friends or family. We felt right at home. Roberto was great at hosting and very flexible with the group of us there. The house is on the marathon route if you are in Moshi for the Kili Marathon. A quiet and peaceful place and shopping and good restaurants are a walking distance. Very good value for money. We shall definitely be back.

Nice clean house with all that you'd need for your stay. Comfortable bed, good shower, well equipped kitchen. Very friendly and responsive host. Great location in shanty Town walkable to cafes and local shops. Quiet area. Maria who helps with cleaning and maintaining the area was also very friendly and helpful. Shara and Jakob’s place is an oasis of peace and incredible value for money. They will help you with everything you could possibly need - from airport pickup to transfers and activities in the area. Also, Shara’s home cooked food is wonderful!

What an incredible experience. I absolutely loved my time here, and it was way too short. Mama Lema met me at the house and I was running a bit late, but she offered to make me food even though the power had been out and the water wasn't working. I didn't mind as I was looking for an authentic experience and I received it. Dee was out of town but Mama Lema and Dee's daughters were an absolute delight. They made me feel right at home, and offered the bonus of taking me up to the Chemka Hot Springs for some swimming and rope swings, we had breakfast together before the daughters went to school, and I was served lunch of fish, veggies, and rice, and fresh watermelon and bananas. I absolutely loved the authentic stay and discussions. Do be aware that during that time we didn't have running water and the electricity went out for a bit, but that made it more fun. We caught water from the rain and used headlamps to see. The bunk room was very comfortable and the nets were a nice added bonus. And the new kittens (2 weeks old) were adorable. At the end, Mama Lema arranged transport to the airport with Benjamin, our tuk tuk driver, and that was extra fun (until we found out that Tuk Tuk's aren't allowed through the gate at the airport so we walked an extra few meters from the gate to the airport, and then back to the gate for Covid testing, then back to the airport. If you are looking for a fun and affordable stay, and to be well taken care of and a feeling of love, and not worry about all the modern-day amenities, this is the place for you!

Extremely well landscaped, like a garden of Eden. Gloria and her family are very hospitable. Just outside of property is gorgeous view of the mountain, and a nice walking trail. Like most of Moshi, place is not air conditioned, there are many fans and it gets cool at night. Also, like most of Moshi, power is spotty at times, there is a small battery backup that works well. Overall I was treated extremely well by Gloria and her family.
