Retreat and relax in this adorable lakefront rural cottage just steps from the beach at Zwickers Lake. This rustic two bedroom cottage is ideal for a family vacation. Take a walk in the woods, feed our free range chickens or enjoy a paddle in the kayaks, canoe or stand up paddle boards (SUP).
The space
The cottage has fresh, clean filtered drinking water, right from the tap! No need to bring bottled water, just bring your water bottle for taking water down to the beach.
We offer one of the most spacious sandy lake shorelines in the area. There's plenty of room for fun activities, and a large communal firepit with bench seating and lots of lawn chairs. The lake is home to small fish, loons, and small turtles.
The private beach is 200 feet away down a small hill and shared by three rentals.
The kitchen has an oven, fridge, toaster, coffeemaker (coffee, filters and sugar provided), microwave, waffle maker, crockpot and an outdoor upright BBQ. All pots, pans, cutlery, dishes, plus salt and pepper are supplied.
The bathroom has a shower, sink & toilet. Bath towels, beach towels, shampoo and conditioner are provided.
There is a tv in the living room with Chromecast.
Each rental has their own private fire pit, or you can use the communal beach fire pit. Kindling and a small amount of firewood available at no charge. Additional firewood can be purchased for $8 a bundle, cash only, or you are welcome to bring your own. Please put out your fire with water, not sand.
Two kayaks, a canoe, and two stand up paddleboards are available for your use. Life jackets of all sizes are provided. Bring your fishing rod and licence and paddle out to fish for small mouth bass. There are chairs set up on the beach. Please note: the motor boats are not for guest use.
There’s a hammock at the beach for your relaxing. The water is clear and warm and the beach is gently sloped making it perfect for kids. Your kids will love the permanent raft for jumping, and the cove has no boat traffic so it’s safe for swimming. There is very little boat activity on the lake. Inflatables are not provided, please bring your own. Beach toys, including Tonka trucks, are included.
This is a quiet lake, and loud partying is not permitted. Quiet time is 10pm to 8am. We do live on site, and are usually available at all times.
Dogs are welcome but must be leashed when not in the cottage.
The cottage is unheated, but a heater is provided.

Number of people on the reservation
The number of people on the reservation is the number of people permitted on the property. If you have reserved for two adults and one child, only two adults and one child will be permitted to check in. Please ensure you have reserved for the correct number of people. If you have reserved for the incorrect number of people, please submit an alteration request prior to check in. Max: 5.
Please note: fireworks are not permitted on the property.
