Your Moms is 2 private upstairs bedrooms in our home on West Wendover Ave in Idlewood / Midtown Greensboro. Joy and Eric live on the main floor and are your hosts. In honor of our moms, Dottie and Uschi, we curated this welcoming space near Downtown, Cone Hospital, and the Greenway. Each room has a queen memory foam bed with 100% cotton bedding, two dedicated workspaces, dorm-fridges, microwaves, and en suite Jack-and-Jill bath for guests only, plus sound insulation and room-darkening curtains.

Your Mom's Place offers two private upstairs bedrooms and a private bathroom in a warm, welcoming Greensboro, NC home — minutes from UNCG, Cone Health, and Downtown Greensboro. You get your own space; the rest of the home is shared with your friendly hosts Joy and Eric.
This is the right spot for solo travelers, visiting students, travel nurses doing short rotations, and anyone who wants two affordable, comfortable rooms in a real neighborhood rather than a chain hotel. The vibe is homey, not sterile — think spare bedroom at a friend's house who actually has good taste.

Welcome to Your Moms, a pair of private upstairs rooms in our shared Idlewood / Midtown neighborhood home.
Together, Grandma Dottie’s Room (named for Joy’s mom, Dottie) and Mamaw Uschie’s Room (named for Eric’s mom, Ursala) make up Your Moms: a warm, welcoming space that celebrates two remarkable women who have shaped our family with their love, humor, and strength.
Dottie, a master gardener and lifelong nurturer, lives in Kernersville with her 100-pound shepherd-poodle mix, Fred, and fills her days volunteering at her church nursery, leading Bible study, and working with the Shepherd’s Center.
Uschie, originally from Germany, has lived in the U.S. since she married Eric's Dad Ervin, and raised Eric with music, laughter, and homemade meals that turned neighbors into family. Both women are natural caretakers, grounded by kindness, faith, and a love for community - and this home carries their spirit in every thoughtful detail.
Located less than a mile from Cone Hospital, Downtown Greensboro, and the Greenway Urban Trail, Your Moms offers comfort and connection in a peaceful, walkable neighborhood close to everything.
For our shared-home private guest rooms, we kindly require a photo of a government-issued ID before arrival to confirm the booking guest is the one staying, as third-party bookings are not permitted by Airbnb.

Comfort and Rest:
Each bedroom features a queen-size memory foam mattress with high-thread-count 100% cotton sheets. Room-darkening curtains create a peaceful setting for restorative sleep.
Workspace and Convenience:
Both rooms include built-in desks with task lighting, plus mini-fridges and microwaves for easy snacks and warm meals.
Cleaning and Storage:
Each room includes a vacuum, iron and closet to keep belongings organized.
Bathroom:
The two rooms share a Jack-and-Jill bathroom, accessible via en suite, directly from each bedroom. The bathroom features a curved glass shower, pedestal sink, hooks for your personal items, and an extensive selection of travel-size toiletries for comfort and privacy.
🐾 Pet Policy
We love animals and welcome them thoughtfully. Please read carefully before booking:
• Two-pet maximum. These rooms are cozy, and more than two pets can overwhelm the space and make cleaning difficult between guests.
• List all pets in your booking request so we can prepare accordingly.
• Pets are not allowed on furniture or bedding.
• Guests traveling with cats must share their litter setup and containment plan before booking and confirm measures are in place to prevent clawing or spraying.
• Pick up outdoor waste and report any accidents or damage right away.
• Unregistered pets, excessive shedding, or damage beyond normal cleaning may result in additional charges through Airbnb's Resolution Center.
We clean exclusively with eco-friendly, non-toxic products that are safe for pets, people, and the planet.
🛏 Linen Care and Damage Fees
Our linens are high-thread-count 100% cotton, washed with gentle unscented detergent to keep them soft and allergen free.
If linens or towels are permanently stained or damaged, the following fees apply:
• 25 dollars per bath towel
• 100 dollars per sheet set
• Quilt or duvet cover TBD
Guests are notified of any charges before they are submitted through Airbnb's Resolution Center.
🚽 Flushing Policy
Only toilet paper and natural waste should be flushed.
Do not flush wipes, even those labeled "flushable," or feminine products.
Plumbing repairs caused by misuse are billed between $100 and $500.

Our kitchen is not available for guest use, but we often share coffee in the mornings when we’re home. Both rooms have mini-fridges and microwaves for convenience.
🧺 Laundry
Guests staying 28 nights or more may do one load of laundry with our low-fragrance detergent. Please provide 24 hours' notice to coordinate access.
🧹 Mid-Stay Cleaning
Available with 24 hours' notice for an additional fee. A great option for keeping things fresh during longer stays.

Guests stay at Your Mom’s will have access to the two bedrooms upstairs with the connected bathroom, as well as the side porch outside the house on the Grayland side of the house. Each room had a small dorm sized refrigerator and microwave oven. Each room as a built in desk with lamp.
During your stay
Welcome to our home! We live on the main floor and proudly host guests in our two upstairs bedrooms—Dotties and Uschies—named in honor of Joy’s mom, Dottie, and Eric’s mom, Uschie. These rooms are available individually or together as “Your Moms” (please see our photo with the detailed floor plan).
Guests enter through our distinctive PINK, ARCHED front door that faces W Wendover Ave, and go straight upstairs; Your Moms two rooms are located at the top through either right or left door. The upstairs was remodeled in 2021 with noise-dampening insulation in all walls and floors, new LVP flooring, a new bathroom, built-in desks with lamps and outlets, updated electrical, and new windows for a truly modern retreat.
We also offer whole-house furnished rentals at Library of Ivy and Ellie, Sisters, Hunsucker’s Place, and Urban Bird House. As a licensed NC realtor and former special education teacher, Joy is passionate about sharing the best of Greensboro. We’re a small, local non-corporate business that proudly supports Guilford County high school students in the Occupational Course of Study by providing a job site for experiential learning.

Other things to note
The kitchen on the main floor is not accessible to guests except for coffee, if we have made it and hot water in the electric kettle. The location of this home is super urban. This is an old house. While we do have homes professionally cleaned by a small, local cleaning company, between guests, we can not guarantee a gluten-free, pet hair-free, 100% sterile environment. We love creating our spaces to mimic staying at the home of a beloved friend or relative and ask that guests please treat these spaces respectfully.
